Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133:- Going to Main Continent

"Sorry. It took us a little longer than expected." The Dwarf Tribe Leader, Leo, smiled warmly as he looked at the group that had just arrived at the edge of the Sand Mirage Desert.

Among them, the very first person he recognized was someone whose face he had never actually seen before.

Spencer! The Prime Minister of the Istarin Empire.

Although this was the first time the two men had met in person, they had exchanged countless letters over the years while discussing diplomacy, trade, and various matters concerning both their nations. Their correspondence had become so frequent that, despite never meeting face to face until today, both men already felt as though they had known each other for many years.

"I don’t mind waiting here for a few more days if it’s for a friend." A faint smile appeared on Spencer’s face after hearing those words.

However, Leo’s son almost choked.

His expression immediately became strange as he silently looked at his father.

’Really?’

’Wasn’t this old man grumbling every five minutes that his legs were about to fall off?’

’Just a moment ago he kept saying, "Where are they? Do they expect an old man to grow roots here?"’

Now, The very same person was calmly claiming that he could happily wait for several more days. The speed at which his father changed expressions was honestly impressive.

Noticing his son’s strange look, Leo quietly glanced at him from the corner of his eye.

His expression remained perfectly calm. Only his eyes spoke. ’Don’t expose me.’

His son immediately understood the message.

Unfortunately, He had no intention of cooperating.

"So... your legs suddenly don’t hurt anymore?" The moment those words left his son’s mouth, the surrounding dwarves immediately looked away, pretending to admire the scenery while desperately trying not to laugh.

Leo’s smile twitched for the briefest moment.

Then, without changing his expression, he calmly answered.

"They recovered."

His son blinked. "So quickly?"

"They sensed that distinguished guests were arriving." That response nearly broke everyone’s composure.

Several dwarves immediately covered their mouths and looked toward the sky, while others hurriedly turned around before their laughter escaped.

Even Spencer could not stop the corners of his mouth from rising. Leo, meanwhile, continued standing with the dignity expected of the Dwarf Tribe Leader, as though nothing unusual had happened.

No matter what, He was certainly not going to admit in front of honored guests that he had spent the last several hours complaining about his aching feet. That simply was not the kind of image a Tribe Leader should have.

"Are you ready, Tribe Leader?" Spencer asked as his gaze shifted toward the few dwarves standing quietly behind Leo.

Leo nodded.

"I will only be taking them with me." His decision had been made after careful consideration.

At the moment, Leo did not fully understand the situation inside the Celestial Dragon Empire. Although Spencer had explained most of it through their letters, hearing about a situation and personally witnessing it were two completely different things. Until he arrived at Axel City and confirmed everything with his own eyes, he intended to remain cautious.

There was another reason as well.

The group standing behind him consisted of people he could genuinely spare without affecting the daily operation of the Dwarf Tribe. Taking a larger group would not only place unnecessary pressure on the tribe but would also increase the chances of attracting unwanted attention during their journey.

Fortunately, Leo himself was a Peak 6th-order cultivator. Accompanying him was another Elder who had also reached Peak 6th-order. With two cultivators of that level traveling together, the journey toward the Main Continent would become much safer and considerably faster.

After all, the roads connecting different regions were not always peaceful.

Scattered throughout the Main Continent and the routes leading toward it were numerous groups of rogue cultivators. Some travelled alone, while others formed organised bandit groups that specifically targeted merchants, travelers, and small caravans passing through remote areas. They survived by robbing anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.

However, even those ruthless groups understood the importance of knowing whom they could afford to provoke. A single Peak 6th-order cultivator was already powerful enough to wipe out most bandit groups by itself.

Facing two such experts at the same time, even the boldest rogue cultivators would have to think several times before daring to make a move. For most of them, attacking such a group would be no different from courting death.

Leo and his son’s attention soon shifted toward the few people standing behind Spencer. From the latest letter Spencer had sent him, Leo already knew that he would not be travelling alone. The Prime Minister had mentioned that several important individuals from the Istarin Empire would accompany him on this journey. Every one of them held an important position within the Empire, making this delegation anything but ordinary.

Stepping forward, Leo politely bowed his head.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Leo, the Leader of the Dwarf Tribe."

The others respectfully returned the greeting.

"Hello. I am Nathan, the Captain of the Shadow Guardians." The moment Leo heard that introduction, his expression subtly changed.

’The Captain of the Shadow Guardians...’

Even though this was their first meeting, Nathan’s name was already well known among the upper ranks of the Dwarf Tribe. Over the past few months, Spencer had occasionally mentioned him in his letters whenever discussing the Istarin Empire’s military or intelligence network.

Nathan was a terrifying individual. Not because he commanded a large army. But because he commanded something far more dangerous, which was the Shadow Guardians.

They were the Empire’s eyes hidden within the darkness.

They gathered intelligence, infiltrated enemy territories, eliminated dangerous targets, uncovered conspiracies, and quietly removed threats before those threats could ever endanger the Empire. Many of their operations remained known only to Aditya himself.

Roughly a month ago, Aditya had even personally requested that the Dwarf Tribe forge a pair of specially designed twin daggers for Nathan. That alone was enough to show just how highly the Emperor valued this man.

It was widely believed within the Istarin Empire that if there was anyone capable of approaching the level of the deadliest assassin in the world, it was Nathan.

What made his story even more remarkable was his past.

He started as a slave. Yet through his own talent and unwavering loyalty, he had steadily climbed higher until he eventually became one of Aditya’s most trusted subordinates.

One of the greatest reasons the Istarin Empire could conquer kingdoms and empires with astonishing speed was because of the intelligence gathered by the Shadow Guardians. Before the Imperial Army even arrived, Nathan’s men had usually already mapped the enemy’s defences, identified key targets, exposed hidden dangers, and prepared countless reports that allowed Aditya to plan every battle with incredible precision.

"I am Amber, the Captain of the Fifth Division and also one of the Generals."

Leo politely nodded after hearing her introduction.

He was already familiar with Amber’s name. Just like Nathan, Aditya had previously asked the Dwarf Tribe to forge a special weapon for her. Along with that weapon, Leo had also personally designed a lightweight suit of armour according to Aditya’s specifications.

Unlike ordinary armour, it was not meant to maximise defence alone. Its greatest purpose was to preserve Amber’s incredible speed and agility while even enhancing her movements during battle.

The next person stepped forward. "I am Amelia, the Empress of the Celestial Terrain Empire." Leo’s eyes briefly widened. Although he already knew from Spencer’s letters that Amelia would be coming, personally meeting the ruler of an entire Empire still carried a different feeling.

Amelia gently smiled before introducing the young woman standing beside her. "This is my daughter, the Goddess of Nature, Riya."

Riya politely bowed her head. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

Although her greeting was flawless, her heart was elsewhere. Ever since learning about everything that had happened in Axel City, she had been constantly worrying about Aditya. Compared to exchanging pleasantries with strangers, she was far more concerned about his current condition and wanted to reach him as quickly as possible.

The next woman stepped forward. "I am Lilith." She stopped there. Originally, she had intended to introduce herself as the Succubus Empress. However, after thinking about it for a brief moment, she decided against mentioning that title.

There was simply no need. More importantly, Lilith knew quite a few amusing stories regarding dwarves.

Although most dwarves were perfectly ordinary, there existed a handful of rather... unusual individuals whose desires were infamous even among other races. Some of those rare exceptions possessed such ridiculously high sex drives that they were said to rival even dragons in that particular aspect.

Rather than risking an awkward conversation the moment they met, Lilith wisely chose to keep her title to herself. She then gently placed a hand on the shoulder of the young woman standing beside her.

"This is my daughter, Sasha."

Sasha quietly greeted everyone with a polite nod.

Throughout the introductions, every member of Spencer’s group wore long black cloaks that concealed most of their bodies. Lilith and Sasha took their caution one step further. Both mother and daughter wore carefully crafted masks that completely concealed their appearances.

It had long become a habit for them.

Whenever they travelled to unfamiliar places or met important people for the first time, they always concealed their identities until they became familiar with their surroundings. Years of experience had taught both women that revealing too much too early was rarely a wise decision.
