Chapter 2603: Chapter 76: The Private Room Door Gets Kicked Open
"Speak nicely? Huh..."
The man laughed, his icy blue eyes flashing.
Standing beside him, his assistant Ray Mckinley adjusted his gold-framed glasses, expressionless, as he spoke to Sophie, who was shivering on the sofa.
"Sophie got caught up in pleasure and has likely forgotten the promise she once made. Last year, when Stellar Haven faced a financial crisis and approached Loyalty with shares to offset debt, she stated that all debts would be repaid by June this year.
If overdue, the pledged shares of Stellar Haven would be transferred to Loyalty."
Now, it’s been almost six months since June, Sophie... where are your shares?"
"I... I..." Andrew Mitchell glanced around frantically, looking for someone to help.
But the young girls he had called to accompany him in the private room were all huddled, hiding in corners.
Over here in the booth, facing him was a cold-faced, deep blue-eyed, tall man he dared not plead with.
Aside from that, there was only Ray Mckinley, the assistant standing beside the man, wearing gold-framed glasses.
And behind him, a foreign bodyguard holding a cold, black gun pointed at the back of his head.
Andrew Mitchell knew there was no escaping this time.
He always loved a life of indulgence and extravagance; Stellar Haven Plaza was an estate left by his father, and since then its operation had deteriorated in his hands.
He wanted to revive Stellar Haven Group but often got lost in revelry.
Last year, faced with a financial crisis and a broken capital chain, he had to approach the Loyalty Group, which had consistently shown interest in Stellar Haven, to sign a contract pledging shares for a loan.
The reason for choosing Loyalty was because he had heard people say that Loyalty’s BOSS, Redington Young Master, was almost always abroad.
For the past ten years, living overseas.
He thought if he couldn’t repay, he would just find a place to hide away and enjoy.
After all, he was a local mogul in H city, knowing influential people there — why fear someone termed as ’foreign’ for living overseas for a long time?
The blame was on Andrew Mitchell, merely a small-time boss in H city, inheriting Stellar Haven Plaza, a shopping mall in a prime location in H city, under the shadow of his father.
He had no foresight, no ability, nor did he know the Loyalty Group he mistakenly thought was a foreign consortium was intricately connected to the domestic top-tier consortium, Royal Palace Group.
"Would you like to sign this contract, or if not, my people will start taking action." Sitting opposite him, the man flicked his blue eyes with a casual glint as if discussing a remarkably ordinary matter.
Andrew Mitchell heard the sound of a bullet chambering from behind his head, immediately frightening him into grabbing the pen and documents on the table.
"I, I’m signing... I’m signing the transfer contract now."
With his right hand, he signed ’Andrew Mitchell’ with a flourish on the documents.
As he finished the final stroke, the tightly closed private room door was suddenly kicked open from outside.
With the door opening, a voice, extremely arrogant, burst in.
"There is no one I can’t meet when Mr. Taylor wants to meet them; what announcement or notification? Charles Taylor considers meeting Andrew Mitchell a privilege; everyone get out of my way..."
Immediately afterward, the manager responsible for reception was pushed aside by Charles Taylor.
Clearing the obstacle, without even glancing at the conditions inside the private room, he turned back to flatteringly say to the person behind him, "Secretary Wellington... they stopped us from coming in; surely Andrew Mitchell is in this private room, let me take you in."
Having said that, Charles Taylor instinctively supported Molly Wellington, who wore stiletto heels and a strappy long dress specifically for such occasions.
He turned to step in but abruptly halted in his tracks.
