Chapter 2588: Chapter 61: Setting the Wedding Date

Skye Brown also laughed: "Yeah, Molly always said she wouldn’t stay with us during college, that she wanted to go study in another place. When she was younger, she always stuck to me, but now she loves to roam around."

Lily immediately echoed her words.

"Exactly, Ben and Abbie are the same way. When they were little, they used to vie for my attention, and now both kids are hardly at home."

Lily spoke, deliberately glancing at Aidan Lucas.

Upon seeing the man’s somber expression, obviously upset by the mention of ’Ben’, her heart grew heavier.

Skye Brown also noticed Mr. Lucas’s expression, realizing that if Molly and Abbie got engaged now, it would be a good thing for Mr. Lucas, easing the serious atmosphere of the Lucas family.

Skye Brown actually has never been able to see clearly her daughter’s feelings.

Whenever she mentioned marriage, Molly wouldn’t refuse, making it seem like she didn’t dislike Ben.

But if she liked him, whenever she saw Jordan Lancaster she seemed so shy.

It’s actually Andrew, though they haven’t seen each other for ten years, Skye felt Molly might be more suited for him.

When Andrew and Molly were young, they were very close. He often protected her, though he’s a bit sharp-tongued, Skye knows that during the years she wasn’t around, Andrew was the one protecting Molly.

They are closer in age, share more topics, and have matching interests.

This is why Skye immediately agreed to Andrew and Molly’s engagement.

From a mother’s perspective, she vaguely feels Andrew is the right match for Molly.

"Young people love adventures outside... Molly said she likes H city, and might go to H University; her Daddy and I have already bought a condominium near H University for her."

"H city is great, a coastal city with good air and beautiful scenery. But the Reddington Group doesn’t have a branch in H city yet..." Saying this, Lily turned to look at Aidan Lucas, her eyes sparkling.

"Husband, Royal Palace has a branch in H city, right? When Andrew goes there, unfamiliar with life and work, you should have your senior executives help him get acquainted with the job. How nice it’ll be, the couple can spend their university days together... I think that’s a good idea, Andrew, Molly, you two should get engaged next week, then have the wedding when Molly turns 20 in two years..."

Saying this, Lily suddenly remembered something, narrowing her eyes slightly, she told Abraham Redington: "Andrew, promise me, even after the engagement you can’t bully Molly. Put a reign on yourself, girls are delicate and precious, you can’t cross boundaries or get her pregnant before making it official."

Lily considers Molly as her own daughter, never allowing her son to get Molly pregnant without marriage.

Pairing them up is meant for mutual care and cultivating their relationship.

Actually, she and Skye Brown discussed this in the kitchen earlier.

At first they didn’t think so, but now they truly feel Andrew and Molly are a good match.

Molly is such a lovely girl, she’s the only one who can handle Andrew’s stubborn and sharp tongue.

Remember how Andrew would always be sharp-tongued, but faced with Molly’s almond-shaped eyes, he’d soften and speak kindly.

Everyone has their destiny; perhaps Molly is truly the right wife for Andrew.

Lily was talking excitedly when Abraham Redington, who had been silent and hadn’t expressed any opinion, suddenly stood up.

As he rose, his large movements knocked over the chair behind him.

The European-style chair fell to the floor with a loud crash.

The lively restaurant suddenly turned silent.

Everyone’s eyes, puzzled, looked at the man standing there, with a stern expression and deep blue eyes.
