Chapter 534: Chapter 534: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (34)

"Silly girl," Leo Joyce said, hugging her tightly. "Let’s not fight anymore."

"Mmm-hmm..." Tiana nodded, tears streaming down her face.

"And don’t ever talk about breaking up with me again."

"Mmm-hmm..."

Leo Joyce’s expression grew complex. After a moment, he added, "Let’s get engaged right away. We’ll get married after you graduate."

"Mmm-hmm..." Tiana Grayson agreed without a second thought, just nodding along. Only after she’d responded did she process what Leo had actually said. She looked up from his embrace, stunned.

Seeing her dazed and adorable look, Leo Joyce leaned down and pecked her on the cheek. "Tiana, you already agreed. No take-backs. First thing tomorrow, I’ll have my parents go to your family to formally propose. We’re getting engaged right away."

"Leo, you really want to marry me...?" Her voice trembled, tinged with anxiety.

’She really couldn’t believe Leo actually wanted to...’

"I can’t wait to... right now... to make you mine for the rest of your life, so you can never even think of leaving me."

Leo Joyce’s words made Tiana blush, her eyes welling up. She hung her head, not daring to look at him.

When Leo Joyce saw that she wasn’t angry anymore, the ache in his heart finally eased. He glanced down and noticed her bare feet, then bent over and swept her up into his arms.

He then pulled back the covers, tucked her in, and lay down beside her, pulling her into a tight embrace.

The two of them simply stared into each other’s eyes. Leo Joyce smiled at her, and Tiana smiled back, though her tears continued to fall uncontrollably.

Seeing her tears, Leo Joyce’s heart ached...

Tiana couldn’t help but tremble. "Mmm... Leo..."

"Tiana, I want you... right now." ’I really... can’t take this anymore,’ he thought. ’I don’t have the patience to wait any longer.’

"..." Tiana looked at Leo, her eyes brimming with tears, not daring to speak.

Leo Joyce asked in a low, expectant voice, "Tiana, is it okay?"

"Leo, I... I..." ’Maybe I shouldn’t refuse him,’ she thought, ’but I’m just so scared. So, so scared.’

’She didn’t know what she was so afraid of. Perhaps it wasn’t the act itself she feared, but the fact that once they did it, there would be no turning back.’

"Sigh." Leo Joyce saw the fear in her eyes and understood. He let out a soft sigh and held her tightly, so tightly.

’It’s okay. She isn’t willing now, but one day, she’ll be mine.’

’Still, in all his years, he’d never felt... this way before. It seems he was truly, hopelessly head over heels for this woman.’

Tiana’s tears started to fall the moment she heard Leo’s sigh. "Leo, I’m sorry." ’I’m really letting him down, acting like this.’

"Silly girl. As long as you’re not willing, I will never force you."

"Leo, I’m not unwilling, I’m just... just a little scared..." Tiana struggled against the blankets, forcing herself to summon her courage. She finally spoke, her words hesitant, "Leo... what... if... we... try...?" ’Maybe I should just try to trust him this once.’

"Tiana, you...?" Leo Joyce looked at her, astonished. ’This happiness... it’s come so suddenly, I can’t believe this is real...’
