Chapter 529: Chapter 529: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (29)
"Young Master Joyce..." A woman spilled her drink right onto Leo Joyce’s pants. She expected him to fly into a rage and scrambled to her feet to explain, but before she could say a single word, Leo Joyce, his face grim, strode out of the private room.
Watching Leo Joyce’s uncharacteristic exit, the men and women in the private room were all baffled.
After leaving Siren, Leo Joyce drove straight to the Grayson residence.
Even though it was the middle of the night, he knew he wouldn’t get a wink of sleep if he didn’t clear the air tonight.
Besides, this fight with Tiana had left him deeply unsettled.
’If Tiana really let him go, what would he do?’
***
At the Grayson residence, Tiana Grayson had cried herself to sleep, sprawled on her bed.
Meanwhile, Leo Joyce had arrived at the Grayson residence. He stared at the darkened villa, his brow furrowed deeply.
His gaze swept over the house before finally landing on Tiana’s second-floor window.
He got out of his car, vaulted over the Graysons’ main gate, and stared up at the window, which was over ten feet high. His frown deepened.
He pulled out his phone and tried calling Tiana, but it was turned off. The call wouldn’t go through.
Using his phone as a flashlight, he scanned the Graysons’ yard for a ladder or even a stool, but found nothing. With no other choice, he could only call out to Tiana from below, hoping she would hear him.
"Tiana!"
"Tiana Grayson!"
...
Upset as she was, Tiana was only sleeping lightly. Through a sleepy haze, she thought she heard someone calling her name.
Listening more carefully, she realized it sounded like Leo’s voice. But she knew he would never come looking for her at this hour.
She gave a small, self-mocking laugh, then rolled over to go back to sleep.
But then the familiar voice rang out again. "Tiana Grayson, if you can hear me, come out here!"
In all his life, Leo Joyce had never done something as crazy as shouting for a woman beneath her window.
"Tiana! Tiana Grayson!"
Hearing the persistent shouts, Tiana Grayson rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed.
She tapped the side of her head, trying to clear the fog. ’It can’t possibly be Leo...’
"Tiana Grayson, can you hear me? I’m waiting for you under your window!"
When she heard those words, Tiana Grayson didn’t even stop to put on shoes. She leaped out of bed, rushed to the window, and pulled back the curtains. Her heart trembling, she looked down.
The moment she saw Leo Joyce standing below, she couldn’t help but burst into tears.
Leo Joyce’s eyes had been glued to Tiana’s window, so he saw her the instant she appeared. A smile touched the corners of his lips as he saw her. "Tiana," he said, his voice raspy, "come down. I want to talk to you."
"It’s so late. What are you doing here?" Tiana wiped away her tears, her voice cold.
Leo Joyce’s expression was tinged with sorrow, his tone wistful. "I missed you, so I came."
"Leo Joyce, you should leave. We shouldn’t see each other anymore." ’What was the point of him showing up and saying this now, just when she had finally steeled her heart and resolved to let him go?’
"Tiana, I don’t believe you can bear to leave me. Get down here right now."
"Leo Joyce, I’ve already told you. I can’t accept being with a man who loves another woman. Don’t you understand?"
