Chapter 478: Chapter 478: From This Moment On, I Love You (78)

"My brother had to take care of something, so he asked me to watch her for a while." After she spoke, Mika realized what he might be getting at. She turned and asked coldly, "Tristan, you don’t have a problem with her, do you?" ’If Tristan really minds that I brought Rory to stay here, then I’ll just take her and leave.’

Tristan tapped her on the head in mock annoyance. "What kind of nonsense are you thinking? How could I ever have a problem with Rory? In fact, I wish she would live here all the time. That way, you could be with me every day..."

Hearing Tristan’s words, Mika was suddenly reminded of the night before, and her cheeks flushed against her will. She put on a serious face and let out a couple of coughs. "Ahem, the children are right here. Don’t get all handsy with me."

"Yes, my dear wife! We’ll just have to wait until tonight, and then..." As he spoke, Tristan gave Mika a suggestive look that let her fill in the blanks.

At the sight, Mika’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. She scurried away from Tristan as if he were carrying the plague.

After they finished lunch, Tristan had originally planned to take Mika and the kids out for the afternoon.

However, he received a call from Caleb Grayson, telling him to come back to the Grayson family home immediately.

He looked at the two children, then at Mika, and said worriedly, "I don’t feel right leaving you alone with the two of them. Why don’t you all come home with me first?"

"Alright..." Mika frowned, thought for a moment, and then nodded.

The moment they stepped into the Grayson family home, Mika and the others could feel the oppressive atmosphere.

Caleb Grayson was holding a stack of photographs, while Mae Lynch was crying softly off to the side.

Tristan’s brows were tightly furrowed. "You called me over in such a hurry," he said in a low voice. "What on earth happened?"

"Ask your father," Mae Lynch sobbed, shouting at Caleb Grayson. "He blames me for everything! Does he really think I wanted any of this to happen?"

Caleb Grayson angrily slammed the stack of photos onto the table and snarled, "Why don’t you just give it a rest! If you hadn’t dragged Penny to that damn matchmaking dance all those years ago, would she have ever gotten involved with that bastard Julius Lockwood?"

"Caleb Grayson, have you lost all sense of reason?! Did I force Penny to get together with him? Or are you saying I held a gun to Julius Lockwood’s head and made him marry her?"

Caleb Grayson suppressed his rage, sat down on the sofa, and fell silent.

Seeing this frightening scene, both Rory and Kiki hid behind Mika in fear. Mika reached out and tugged on Tristan’s arm, urging him to break up the fight.

Tristan turned to look at Mika and the two children, then said in a cold voice, "Take them upstairs."

"Okay." Mika nodded, turned around, and, taking one child in each hand, hurried upstairs.

Once Mika and the children were upstairs, Tristan strode over to Caleb Grayson. He leaned down, picked up the photos from the table, and started flipping through them. When he came across a faded old photograph, his brow furrowed. He asked in confusion, "Who’s Penny?"

In the photo were his grandfather, grandmother, and his parents, but standing between his parents was a very beautiful woman.

Mae Lynch wiped her tears and said, "Penny was your paternal aunt. She passed away when you were very young, so it’s normal that you don’t remember her."

"My own aunt? I have an aunt?" Tristan looked at his mother in surprise.
