Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Little Ape’s Great Use
The fierce battle raged on, but because the entirety of Celestial Net Peak was covered by an Array, their fight did not spread to other areas.
After a full hour, both had completely exhausted their Elemental Power. By then, Tang Wushuang had truly felt Lin Yun’s immense Combat Power. He had given it his all, yet surprisingly, he couldn’t do a thing to his opponent.
As his Elemental Power dried up, Lin Yun didn’t look frustrated at all. Instead, a smile spread across his face. He possessed a Flawless Flesh Body. In terms of pure Physical Strength, even ten Tang Wushuangs would be no match for him.
"Tang Wushuang, your time is up!" Lin Yun roared. Relying on his formidable physique, he charged at Tang Wushuang. Seeing this, Tang Wushuang, who had no Elemental Power left, could only use his own body to defend himself.
However, the moment they clashed, Tang Wushuang regretted it. Lin Yun’s physical body was practically that of a Demon Beast. Forget himself—even an expert at the Qi Sea Realm probably couldn’t compare.
"Tang Wushuang, today I’m going to beat you so badly your own mother won’t recognize you!" Having gained the upper hand, Lin Yun was relentless. Even if he couldn’t kill Tang Wushuang, beating him to a pulp was no problem at all.
Each of Lin Yun’s punches carried power no less than that of an ordinary Demon Beast. After blocking them repeatedly, Tang Wushuang’s hands began to tremble.
A fierce punch flew toward him, and this time, Tang Wushuang finally failed to block the attack. His entire arm dropped limply to his side.
Realizing he was no match for Lin Yun in a physical fight, Tang Wushuang didn’t hesitate. He spun around, instantly creating distance between them and sprinting away.
As Tang Wushuang chose to flee, Lin Yun watched his retreating figure but decided not to give chase. He had also expended a great deal of energy. Even if he gave it his all, he wasn’t certain he could catch up and give Tang Wushuang a proper thrashing.
Their first direct confrontation ended just like that. Although Lin Yun held a slight advantage, it was undeniable that Tang Wushuang was the strongest person he had ever met, truly worthy of the title of genius.
Dragging his exhausted body, Lin Yun scanned his surroundings. This was just the foot of Celestial Net Peak, an area that wasn’t particularly large. However, the surrounding Arrays sealed the area off completely. No one without a Token could get in or out.
There were no houses here, only simple, crude caves. The students punished by the Academy lived in these caves. Here, strength was the only law; the powerful could choose the best-located caves.
After looking around, Lin Yun finally found an unoccupied cave. It wasn’t that he was afraid of the other students; he was simply in no condition to fight again. He needed to recover his Elemental Power first.
As Lin Yun walked into the cave, none of the dozens of students who had been watching the battle from afar tried to stop him. ’It’s best not to provoke someone that strong.’ That was what everyone was thinking.
Upon entering Celestial Net Peak, all of Lin Yun’s belongings had been confiscated; he hadn’t even been allowed to bring in his Space Ring. Now, he could only rely on circulating his two great Cultivation Techniques to recover.
Furthermore, the Heaven and Earth Primordial Power on Celestial Net Peak was incredibly thin, making recovery exceptionally slow. This caused Lin Yun no end of frustration. At this rate, it would take him at least a week to recover completely—and that was only thanks to his two powerful Cultivation Techniques. For an ordinary person, a full recovery in under a month would be unthinkable.
While Lin Yun was recovering, Tang Wushuang had also found an empty cave. Like Lin Yun, his recovery was painstakingly slow. At his current pace, it would take him at least half a month to be fully restored.
’Looks like I can’t push myself so hard in the future. It’s too difficult to recover Elemental Power here after using so much,’ Lin Yun sighed helplessly. After cultivating for four hours, he had only restored one percent of his Elemental Power.
The moment he finished speaking, a fist-sized black shadow zipped past. Little Ape was now perched on his shoulder, tugging his hair and screeching with displeasure, as if to demand, ’Where have you been? Why did you leave me? I’m hungry!’
Faced with Little Ape’s cries, Lin Yun, who should have been exasperated, was instead filled with astonishment. He distinctly remembered that he hadn’t brought Little Ape with him at all. ’This place is surrounded by Arrays. How did it get in?’
’Could it be that the Arrays here are completely useless against Little Ape?’ Lin Yun thought in shock.
At this thought, Lin Yun decided to test a theory. "Little Ape," he said, "I’m trapped in here and can’t get out. Since you’re hungry, do you think you can sense my Space Ring?"
The Space Ring carried Lin Yun’s aura. Since Little Ape could sense his aura, there was a good chance it could also sense the ring’s location.
As Lin Yun watched, Little Ape closed its eyes and concentrated for a moment. It then opened them, patted its chest, and gave Lin Yun a look that told him it had found the ring.
"Alright, Little Ape, listen closely," Lin Yun said. "If you want something to eat, you need to go get my Space Ring. That way you won’t go hungry, understand?"
At the mention of going hungry, Little Ape instantly grew anxious. It let out two fierce squeaks, as if making a guarantee, then transformed into a streak of light and vanished from the cave.
The fist-sized Little Ape was incredibly fast. As it passed through Celestial Net Peak’s Array, it met with no resistance whatsoever, as if the Array hadn’t detected it at all.
However, if one looked closely, they would see a faint black light flickering around its body. It was precisely this black light that allowed Little Ape to move freely through the Array.
Lin Yun’s Space Ring was at the Punishment Hall. Because he had been sentenced to half a year of confinement on Celestial Net Peak, his personal belongings were naturally handed over to the Punishment Hall for safekeeping.
By now it was the dead of night. In a heavily guarded pavilion within the Punishment Hall, four Qi Sea Realm Stewards were gathered together, shooting the breeze.
However, they were completely oblivious as a streak of black light slipped past them and reached the Second Layer of the pavilion—the place where belongings of students imprisoned on Celestial Net Peak were kept.
Once the students completed their sentences, these items were to be returned to them.
Following its senses, Little Ape quickly found Lin Yun’s Space Ring. Next to it were two other Space Rings.
Judging by the names written on them, the three Space Rings belonged to Lin Yun, Tang Wushuang, and his master.
Without a second thought, Little Ape’s tiny paw scooped up all three Space Rings, and it vanished in a flash.
Little Ape had no idea who the other two Space Rings belonged to; Lin Yun’s words had simply made it anxious. To make sure it had something to eat, it naturally decided to grab a few extra.
Little did Tang Wushuang and his master imagine that their Space Rings would be taken by Little Ape just like that—stolen from right under the nose of the Punishment Hall, of all places.
