Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Punishment
Tang Wushuang’s face twisted in fury. In his rage, he had blurted out the truth without thinking. Now, seeing the looks from the crowd, he was both furious and filled with regret.
"Lin Yun, you little bastard, you dare to set me up?" Tang Wushuang roared.
Facing Tang Wushuang’s furious shout, a faint smile played on Lin Yun’s lips. ’This guy is a real idiot.’ "Tang Wushuang, is there something wrong with your head? You should be thinking about how to confess and ask for leniency."
Lin Yun’s voice was filled with contempt, which only fueled Tang Wushuang’s uncontainable rage. Lin Yun was truly his nemesis. Ever since their clashes began, it seemed Tang Wushuang had never once gained an advantage. This time, he had even dragged his own master down with him.
"Dean, the situation is clear now," Zhong Lin chimed in at the perfect moment. "Tang Wushuang and his master are the masterminds behind this entire affair. I implore you to punish them severely."
Hearing Zhong Lin’s words, the Dean’s gaze toward Tang Wushuang and his master lost its kindness. From what Tang Wushuang had just blurted out himself, it was now certain that these two were the culprits who had orchestrated the whole thing.
"Tang Wushuang, do you admit your guilt?" the Dean asked coldly.
Facing the most powerful figure in Yanhuang Academy, Tang Wushuang’s anger instantly morphed into terror. Even his own father, Prince Yunlu, had to be completely respectful in the Dean’s presence, let alone him.
"Dean, this student knows he was wrong," Tang Wushuang said, lowering his head.
"Dean, I am willing to accept my punishment," Tang Wushuang’s master also said at this moment.
The rest was simple. As a verdict had already been set, the Dean immediately announced the punishment for Tang Wushuang and his master: just like Lin Yun, they were both to go to Celestial Net Peak for six months of solitary reflection.
"Guards! Take these three to Celestial Net Peak." At his command, six Stewards from the Punishment Hall entered the main hall. Under Zhong Lin’s lead, Lin Yun and the other two were escorted to Celestial Net Peak.
Celestial Net Peak was essentially the Academy’s prison. It was a solitary peak deep within the Imperial City Mountain Range, soaring straight into the clouds. The mountain was surrounded by Arrays; anyone who trespassed without a Token was guaranteed to die, with no exceptions even for experts at the Primordial Ocean Realm.
Arriving at the foot of Celestial Net Peak, they saw the mountain was divided into three zones for imprisoning Martial Artists of the Opening Realm, Qi Sea Realm, and Primordial Ocean Realm. The confinement area for the Primordial Ocean Realm was at the summit, the Qi Sea Realm’s was on the mountainside, and the Opening Realm’s was at the base.
"Go on. Someone will come for you in six months," Zhong Lin said impassively. As he spoke, however, he gave Lin Yun an encouraging look, signaling for him not to worry and to just serve his time.
The three were sent into Celestial Net Peak. At the same time, news of Lin Yun’s six-month sentence of solitary reflection reached Qin Feng, Li Tian, Lu Bingning, and the others.
As students of the Genius Class, they were naturally aware of Lin Yun’s situation, but they hadn’t been able to help because their own masters had stopped them.
"Li Tian, what do we do now? Brother Lin has been locked up in Celestial Net Peak!" Qin Feng demanded as soon as he rushed to find Li Tian.
Qin Feng was frantic, but Li Tian remained perfectly composed, sipping his tea. His expression was serene, as if it were a matter of no concern.
Seeing Li Tian’s demeanor, Qin Feng roared, "Li Tian, I’m telling you, Brother Lin’s been captured! How can you still be in the mood to drink tea? Aren’t you worried about his safety at all?"
Seeing Qin Feng’s outburst, Li Tian gave him a small smile and motioned for him to sit. After pouring him a cup of tea, Li Tian slowly said, "Qin Feng, there’s no need to rush."
"How can I not be? It’s not like you don’t know what kind of place Celestial Net Peak is."
"And how do you know going to Celestial Net Peak is a bad thing? Do you think your Brother Lin is the type to suffer a loss? Didn’t he drag Tang Wushuang and his master down with him........."
Listening to Li Tian’s placating words, Qin Feng’s emotions gradually settled. It was true. Lin Yun was not one to suffer a loss. This time, although it looked like Lin Yun was being punished, his situation was far better than that of Tang Wushuang and his master.
After all, Lin Yun had managed to drag both master and disciple down with him all on his own.
"We have to have faith in him. Even in Celestial Net Peak, I believe he’s the type of person who will manage just fine," Li Tian said with a slight smile, taking a sip of his tea.
With Li Tian’s guidance, Qin Feng gradually came around. ’He’s right,’ he thought. ’When has Lin Yun ever been willing to take a loss? Anyone who provokes him better be prepared to lose a layer of skin.’
Meanwhile, at Lu Bingning’s residence, Lan Xi, Lu Bingning, and their master were all present. Lu Bingning was anxiously asking her master about Lin Yun’s situation.
"That boy... he’s a slippery one. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone manage to drag a master and disciple pair into Celestial Net Peak for six months of reflection," Lan Xi’s master, the beautiful woman, was the first to speak.
"Haha, that little fellow is fascinating. And so full of tricks," the beautiful woman said, not stingy with her praise.
"Then, Master, will he be alright in Celestial Net Peak?" Lu Bingning asked, still worried.
"He’ll be fine," Lu Bingning’s master replied. "Given his strength, the only one in Celestial Net Peak who poses any threat to him is Tang Wushuang. The others are no threat at all. Of course, aside from the living conditions being a bit rough."
Everyone on the outside was worried about Lin Yun. But at that moment, as he entered Celestial Net Peak, Lin Yun finally let out the breath he had been holding.
Without Tang Wushuang’s master around, Lin Yun had no fear of Tang Wushuang whatsoever. He had originally thought the three of them might be imprisoned together.
But now it seemed the situation was even better than he’d expected. Not only was he separated from Tang Wushuang’s master, but there weren’t even any Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists around. Here, there was no one who could threaten him.
"Lin Yun, I want you dead!" The moment they entered Celestial Net Peak and were clear of the Punishment Hall personnel, Tang Wushuang erupted. His hands moved through a Seal Technique, and a massive, gleaming Golden Light Seal instantly formed, pressing down on Lin Yun.
"Hmph. Tang Wushuang, I’ve been wanting to deal with you for a long time. Your timing is perfect." With no outsiders to interfere, Lin Yun held nothing back. Facing Tang Wushuang’s powerful strike, he instantly unleashed his Black Steel Tyrant Fist. Pushing both of his Cultivation Techniques to their limits, he wreathed his fist in purple-gold Elemental Power and slammed it into the golden seal.
BOOM! Lin Yun clashed head-on with Tang Wushuang’s Golden Light Seal. Both were exceptionally powerful. From that single blow, Lin Yun was forced back several steps, and Tang Wushuang was as well.
"I’ll kill you!"
"Hmph. We’ll see who dies today."
Neither of them stopped there. With furious roars, Lin Yun and Tang Wushuang charged at each other simultaneously. In an instant, the entire space was filled with scattered bursts of various Martial Skills and Elemental Power.
Such a massive commotion obviously attracted the other students imprisoned on Celestial Net Peak. Many followed the sound of the battle and rushed over.
However, when they saw the two combatants, they didn’t dare approach in the slightest. Their Combat Power was simply too immense, far surpassing the limits of the Opening Realm. Even a Martial Artist at the first or second layer of the Qi Sea Realm would likely be no match for them.
