Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Eye Of Adam(2)

The world was bright and colourful, but in this place, the most dominant colour was pale blue.

Adrian understood instantly what he was seeing, ’ Esper, these eyes allow me to see esper.’

It’s not like seeing esper was impossible but that’s usually only when it has reached an extremely dense state or being used by somebody.

He could sense ambient esper as most beings who can use it can but seeing its form, that was new.

However he realised this new ability had more implications to it, if he can see esper, he can directly predict attacks before hand.

Can see through stealth type abilities as easy as day and most of all can see how to better mold ambient esper for his own absorption.

However he had greatly underestimated this ability of his, when he looked at the world, there was pale blue ice esper.

Mixed with it was a pink esper that held a darkness only found in demons but this esper was active.

Unlike the dormant ambient esper which was flowing freely around them, this pink esper had a form.

By analysing this form he came to a startling conclusion. The form represented an ability, each ability had its own pattern, like art.

He looked at Lilith who was glaring at him with cold yet amused eyes, her gaze was firmly locked on his left eye.

’ This ability of hers, it’s purpose is to control my mind, I think I can break it if I draw the pattern in the opposite direction.

However if I do that, then I’ll be stuck here forever, no wait,I don’t seem to be under her control as we speak, at least not my mind.’

He could tell that she had some partial control over his body but instead of breaking it he let it be.

" Stand up." Lilith commanded as if testing the waters, Adrian stood up and looked at her coldly.

He knew pretending he was fully under her control would work so he used the truth to deceive her.

Relinquish control over his body to her knowing he can break her ability at any moment but above all else.

He knew if he drew the same pattern with his esper he can mimic her ability thus copying it.

However he didn’t do that either, there was more to it than just that. ’ It’s her authority.’ beneath the ability he could see something much more vast.

Her authority as the ruler of lust, it’s where her ability was drawn from, even if he mimicked it.

His wouldn’t come close to the power she can wield since they wielded completely different authorities.

’ Wait, I...have an authority?’ Adrian had never noticed that and he realized why, his authority was dormant.

Authority was like a divinity, to awaken it you either need to be a spirit or at the very least a demigod.

Him having one so early on must’ve been...he froze. ’ No, this isn’t mine, what on the seven hells is this?’

This authority he mistook for his was not his at all, he felt like more like a carrier, like a host of some virus.

" Oh heart of destruction, it seems you’ve noticed." Lilith giggled mockingly. Adrian’s face changed.

" What is this thing inside me, tell me." He growled at her, his eyes turning as cold as a glacier.

Lilith giggled instead, " My my how scary, while I would love to tell you, just imagining your despair sounds amazing.

It’s not my place to say anything, besides, despair is not up to my tastes, your lust on the contrary."

She touched him very inappropriately and licked his cheek even though was still in his werewolf form.

" What soft fur, you’re like a well bred puppy." She drowned her face on his chest rubbing against his fur.

It was true that his fur was solt and silky but this was just embarrassing, he almost broke but held on.

" Anyways, let get out of her, this place is boring." She wrapped her legs around him and kissed him.

Pink fog surrounded them then it was blown off by the wind, when it cleared they were already gone.

------------------------------------

At the wolf base, Annie was still studying the two spells to deal with both the seraphim and the primordial demons ( sins)

While those two groups are special amongst their kind as the first of them to exist, at their base they were still angels and demons.

Occult magic can trap and even exorcise demons but that isn’t the case for angels who are considered beings of light.

However they weren’t invincible either, as long as one can learn the Acharion language, they can banish angels back to heaven using some spells.

Annie and came to the conclusion, " Impossible, this is impossible, I can’t even understand a single word.

My head hurt just trying to memorise this thing, ah this is impossible." She read it again and shook her head.

In the book, Meggie had also came to same conclusion, she too couldn’t learn the Acharion language.

Learning occult magic was hard enough for her, that thing went against the nature of werewolves.

They were meant to be brutes, not scholars but her unique mental type abilities made it possible for her.

However the Acharion language was too hard even for her. " I guess it was arrogant of me to think I can learn something even the great dark witch couldn’t learn."

However the more she read the book, she realised the situation was not completely hopeless.

The angels had a weakness as well, purity, as long as one uses the blood of the pure and untainted by sin.

They can draw these spells without having to learn the Acharion language and banish the angels back to heaven.

From Meggie’s account, she started by using the blood of children but that didn’t work.

She thought maybe it had to be heart blood, reading to this point, Annie closed the book and took a deep breath.

She knew Meggie was called a dark witch for a reason but she held some hope in her heart that maybe she wasn’t really like that.

She sighed and opened the book, she continued reading and each passage made her see Meggie differently.

At the end, the conclusion was, the blood must at least come from a girl who’s 15 or older.

She must be have exhibit traits of the seven virtues, Humility, Charity, Chastity, Patience, Temperance, Kindness and Diligence.

Annie felt a splitting headache, " How in the nine realms am supposed to find somebody like that."

’ This is going to be harder than I thought, damnit, I might get premature greys like this.’

She suddenly froze, " He..he’s back?"
