Chapter 1378: Chapter 34: Demi-human Girl Control
"Wait a minute, what is this? Elf script? What’s written here?"
Renie glanced at the text on the stone wall, frowned, and shook her head in surprise,
"It’s really strange, I have no memory of this text at all. This definitely isn’t Elf script, we just saw Elf Language down below, this is..."
The reason was simple, the text on the stone wall was square and robust, seemingly embedded in it. Fisher had seen this text more than once,
"This is... a language from the Otherworld, written by a Transferee."
Fisher recognized the text at a glance, and after scanning it up and down, finding it entirely composed of square text, he dismissed it as belonging to Tangze Asuka’s homeland.
The symbols she used were more rounded, but this script was different.
This is the script used by the contributors of the "Demi-human Girls Completion Manual."
"Transferee? What’s written here, do you recognize it?"
Fisher had an angel-implanted translating artifact, so he could usually understand what others said and wrote. If a Demi-human girl control spoke in front of him, he should understand because of the communication between souls, but the lifeless text seemed different.
Elf Language is a language recorded by the translating artifact, so he could read it. However, if you placed modern Kado Language in front of the artifact, it wouldn’t recognize it; it’s the same principle.
"I don’t recognize it either, but maybe we can ask someone else later. Emhardt, why don’t you jot it down first, there’s quite a bit of content."
"Oh, no problem."
While Emhardt was recording, Renie looked at Fisher and asked,
"Is this the script used by the Transferee who killed the World Tree?"
"No, I haven’t met the person who uses this script, but I’ve heard a lot about her... Maybe it’s partly her fault that my inclinations turned out so peculiar."
"Pfft."
Renie covered her mouth, amused by Fisher’s serious demeanor, and playfully punched his shoulder, then said,
"Then I’ve got to blame her as well."
"Why?"
"If it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have met so many Ladies, and I wouldn’t be so jealous now!"
Fisher thought about it but still felt it wasn’t right. He shook his head and said,
"If it weren’t for that Demi-human girl control, we might not have met either. The very first Completion Manual was written by her, and it was her manual that made you stay by my side."
"Well, then I should thank her..."
With a sweet smile, Renie floated beside Fisher’s shoulder and said.
Fisher was about to say something when he caught a glimpse of Emhardt with dead-fish eyes.
He had finished recording what was written above and looked at the two, feeling no joy from gaining knowledge.
He felt like a dog kicked once... no, twice on the roadside, his sole purpose here to record these unreadable words.
He swore he’d never come for such matters again, even if it meant dying outside rather than being a third wheel!
Fortunately, Renie was quite understanding; she turned to look at the tilted Moon in the sky and suggested to Fisher,
"Shall we go back to the South Continent?"
"So soon?"
"Tonight has been more than enough, I’m quite satisfied... If we return later, I’m afraid the conflicts between the Dragon-man Species and Whale-man Species will become insurmountable. While I would enjoy seeing that, it’s better not if it means you’ll have to delve into more matters."
"...How did you know?"
"Don’t look at me, I’m not interested in keeping an eye on them; I might lose control and smite them if I do. I just happened to pass by when getting clothes and caught a glimpse and overheard something about their situation..."
Renie let out a soft hum and was about to float away, choosing not to pursue the topic further, only to say to Fisher,
"Shall I take you back to the Dragon Court now?"
"No, Renie, take me to a Pseudo Dragon Court in the north first, any city will do..."
"Pseudo Dragon Court?"
Fisher nodded, recalling clearly the events that transpired in the Healing Corruption Church in the Northern Realm, and said,
"I need to make a call."
