Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Classmates or Enemies

——

Thea Lynch took some time to go to the company in the morning.

Seeing her, Foreman Chandler was taken aback.

There was no one else in the office, just the two of them.

Thea closed the door.

Through the glass on the door, she looked outside, everyone was busy with their own work.

"Foreman Lynch?" Foreman Chandler didn’t understand.

Thea walked over to their workstations but didn’t sit.

"Didn’t you take the day off today?" Foreman Chandler looked her up and down, noticing her outfit was casual, unlike she was there for work.

Normally, Thea always wore sharp business attire to work, rarely skirts, and even then they were very plain colors. Not like today.

Looking closely, her makeup today was also exquisite and meticulous.

More like she was going on a date.

"Yeah. Passing by so decided to drop in." Thea opened her phone’s email and found the email to show him.

Foreman Chandler took the phone with a puzzled face, and two seconds later, his eyes widened.

"He sent this?"

"Yeah."

"This set of data, Valiant and Fk, including Dilitech, all received."

Foreman Chandler was surprised: "How did you know?"

Valiant needs no introduction, FK and Dilitech also hold their place in the domestic smart chip industry. Looking at the email’s timing, these three companies should have received the anonymous email not long ago, and Thea here also got notified.

This speed...

"Valiant’s President Shen and our President Cheng are kind of family relatives."

"I’ve heard about this! Our sales manager is President Shen’s wife, right? But what about FK and Dilitech?"

"I have a senior there."

"!"

Foreman Chandler only knew Thea had good connections in Coronet, but hadn’t imagined it was beyond that.

"So it must be him, right?"

"Pretty much." Thea took back her phone and pulled out last night’s chat record with her senior to show Foreman Chandler.

Two minutes later, Foreman Chandler’s expression was peculiar and a bit hard to comprehend, "Why did he do this? Isn’t staying at Stratus good for him?"

Thea chuckled, "No, it’s not. He won’t be content working under me."

"Why?"

"Because in his view, he should be on an equal footing with us, not just being a little assistant."

"He doesn’t think by sending this data to these three big companies, he can successfully move over, does he?" Foreman Chandler thought this idea was a bit naive.

Thea shook her head.

"With a non-compete agreement, he can’t switch jobs. These three companies aren’t in his plan. His purpose is simply to cause trouble for us, or me."

Foreman Chandler stared at Thea for a long time and tentatively asked, "Foreman Lynch seems not angry, huh?"

Not only now.

From the beginning of the Valiant Chemical R&D department incident, he felt Thea seemed not angry. Handling issues without losing temper.

If it was uncertain who before, what about now?

She seemed overly calm.

As if everything was within her plan.

Foreman Chandler faintly felt Thea must have other plans.

Knowing Thea is known for being diligent at work, this assistant issue is no small matter. According to Thea’s nature, there should be some big moves.

"Because there’s no need to be angry." Thea smiled, "Isn’t it good like this, evidence is solid, Stratus won’t keep him. In the future, he’ll be blacklisted in the industry too."

Not just this industry, anyone with a bit of relation doesn’t even need to think.

Foreman Chandler suddenly realized, "Foreman Lynch, have you been waiting for this day all along?"

"Not really."

Thea wasn’t so idle, "Just thought of this possibility. If he worked properly, I wouldn’t trouble him. Ultimately, it’s still his problem."

Upon hearing this, Foreman Chandler couldn’t help but become curious, "Were you really classmates before? Are you sure it’s not enemies???"

"Since he first joined the company, I noticed your interactions were odd. Especially him."

Thea leaned against the table, organizing the email before sending it to the vice president.

Then she slowly started speaking, "Actually, we can’t really be considered classmates, we only spent a little over a month in the same school."

"Not exactly enemies. But indeed, things weren’t pleasant before." Since she was familiar with Foreman Chandler, Thea briefly told him the story from high school.

Once heard, Foreman Chandler was dumbfounded.

Staring at Thea for a long time, finally reacting with a face full of indignation: "This kid looks decent, didn’t expect him to be such scum!"

"Isn’t this campus bullying? Damn, karma really works, him ending up under you is destiny, deserved!"

Upon hearing all this, Foreman Chandler felt the kid wasn’t pitiful at all.

And thinking carefully, this time’s issue wasn’t caused by Thea at all. Just like Thea said, if this kid had no other ideas and concentrated on work, how could there be such a situation now.

So, in the end, deserved.

"Revenge is never too late for a gentleman." Foreman Chandler gave Thea a thumbs up, "Really released anger mightily."

Thea smiled, for her, it wasn’t as serious as Foreman Chandler said, but she didn’t explain further.

——

Leaving the office, Thea bumped into her assistant.

The two exchanged a glance, the latter quietly clenched the file in his hand, echoing Foreman Chandler’s question: "Foreman Lynch? Didn’t you take the day off today?"

Thea’s gaze passed over his face, "Yeah, just came by to pick up something."

"Oh... I see." The other discreetly exhaled.

Seeing this, Thea’s dark eyes narrowed slightly, "You’re taking leave to return to school at the end of the month?"

"Ah yes, I’ve already mentioned it."

"I’m taking a day’s leave, if you have anything, find Leo first."

"Foreman Lynch, when you have time, could you sign for me?"

His leave needed Thea’s approval.

Thea: "Now’s fine."

The other didn’t expect her to be so straightforward, hesitated for a moment then agreed.

After signing for him, Thea didn’t chat, directly left the company.

Upstairs, Foreman Chandler came out of the office and saw Thea’s assistant looking out the window, probably judging if Thea really left the company.

Seeing him made Foreman Chandler angry, glaring at his back intensely, afraid he couldn’t hold his temper and reveal something, so didn’t talk to him, angrily went into the laboratory.

Elsewhere, Thea stood outside the company for two minutes, Sean Bell’s car arrived.

Today Sean Bell particularly came to pick her up, the second brother departed from the unit, so not convenient.

After getting in the car, Thea asked, "Where’s the thing I asked you to buy?"

"Backseat." Sean Bell pointed to the bouquet on the back seat, "Mission from you, how dare I not fulfill it."

Thea hummed.

"Hey, let me tell you something fun, look at this." Sean Bell handed her the phone, on the screen was a woman’s photo.
