Chapter 1319: Chapter 46: The Seafarer from Far Continents, the Honored Guest of the Demon Python Tribe (Part 2)

Zhang Boyant is of Demon Sect origin, his methods always insidious and ruthless, stopping at nothing. He chuckled sinisterly and said, "Sect Leader Shao, I act under the Pavilion Master’s orders, and all sects of Divine House Mountain should comply. If you can’t remember this, it won’t matter much. Seeing you’ve brought many disciples, killing a few might help your memory."

Shao Zhongxiang’s face shifted slightly; the other party’s gaze was very venomous, instantly grasping his weakness.

These disciples are the foundation for the future return to Fengxiang Sword Sect, losing even one is unbearable. Zhang Boyant’s devious methods were just witnessed a moment ago, and if he insists on killing his disciples, it truly won’t be easy to stop him. He glanced around, noticing many cultivators from other sects also surrounded them, realizing the situation was very unfavorable for him.

The green-clothed cultivator hidden behind witnessed the situation and transmitted a message from the back: "Sect Leader Shao, it’s not suitable to confront this person now; let’s step back for now."

Shao Zhongxiang’s expression changed several times, before finally darkening, he cupped fist towards Zhang Boyant and said, "I concede."

He couldn’t bear to stay there, so he flicked his sleeve, leading his disciples down the mountain.

Bai Jiyin, seeing him leave, stepped forward to express gratitude: "Master Zhang, thanks for your assistance."

Zhang Boyant’s eyes shifted, looking at the green-clothed cultivator mixed among Longxiang Sect disciples, he pointed and said, "Sect Leader Bai, do you recognize who that person is?"

Bai Jiyin concentrated for a while, then shook his head saying, "I don’t recognize." He turned back and said, "Elder Mo, do you know?"

Elder Mo’s shoulder injury had been treated with medicine, though his complexion was slightly pale. He glanced twice and said, "Within Divine House Mountain, anyone with such cultivation, I know of, but I have never seen this person before. He must be an outer practitioner."

After Shao Zhongxiang led his disciples down the mountain, the more he thought, the more he was resentful, he said to the green-clothed cultivator, "Fellow Daoist, had you cooperated with me then, would we fear him alone?"

The green-clothed cultivator’s expression remained unchanged and said, "Once I make a move, my identity will surely be seen. If I could act to capture him, that would be fine, but that Daoist Zhang had already noticed me, how could he not be prepared? If he escapes, it will inevitably ruin the major plan."

He took out a bottle of elixir pills from his sleeve, handed it over, saying, "This is a fine medicine from my clan, it can mend Sect Leader Shao’s disciples’ arms."

Shao Zhongxiang pushed it away, saying, "No need, I have elixir pills for mending." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

The green-clothed cultivator knowing he was forced to back down earlier, and couldn’t bear losing face, didn’t actually want to argue with him. He didn’t mind, smiling lightly, "Sect Leader Shao should challenge Daoist Zhang soon. Capture the position of control in the immortal city, then won’t these two sects be at Brother Daoist’s disposal,"

Shao Zhongxiang still bore some resentment concerning the earlier matter said, "Were it not for the disciples’ lives, I wouldn’t have been restricted."

The green-clothed cultivator sincerely said, "If Sect Leader Shao is assured, my Python Clan will look after your disciples, removing any worries."

Shao Zhongxiang looked over cautiously, refusing, "No need, how could I trouble your esteemed clan for my disciples."

Though his attitude was stern, the green-clothed cultivator was not offended, smilingly said, "I will report to the Clan Leader, in as short as three days or as long as ten, I’ll bring fellow Daoists here to aid Sect Leader Shao in seizing the position of control."

Zhang Boyant had already returned to the previous peak by this time. Zhao Yang also descended from the flying boat, saying, "That Shao Zhongxiang had his disciples handled by Master in person, I thought he would take action, yet he managed to restrain himself."

Zhang Boyant sneered, "The Pavilion Master will handle this person, no need for me to interfere, yet this person seems to have some intriguing background."

Zhao Yang thought for a moment, suddenly said, "This person must be a demon cultivator."

Zhang Boyant turned sideways to stare at him, asking, "How did you see that?"

Zhao Yang replied, "Recently, while practicing mysterious skills, I went out to hunt demons, capturing souls and essence blood. But there are no such demons within Divine House Mountain, so I went out to sea to search and had quite a few rewards. That person carried a hint of sea scent, indistinguishable from those aquatic spirit monsters, although it was very faint, but I could still smell it."

Zhang Boyant squinted, saying, "That’s quite interesting."

He knew this disciple was uniquely gifted; his ears and nose were much more sensitive than ordinary cultivators, often able to identify beast scents from miles away, otherwise, he couldn’t trek alone for thousands of miles to Divine House Mountain to become an apprentice.

It’s not that he was negligent, rather in the Demon Sect, their cryptic methods are hard to guard against, a moment’s carelessness could lead to falling victim, thus he was accustomed to sealing his senses with spells, preventing any abnormal Qi from getting through—not detecting it came as a consequence.

Seven or eight days later, as the rain began to dwindle, the flooding that ravaged the mountains finally receded, many previously submerged peaks emerged, but the old sites of all sects were thoroughly desolate. Rebuilding mountain gates cannot be achieved overnight.

Shao Zhongxiang waited until the tenth day when the green-clothed cultivator again arrived from the sea, accompanied by one person who appeared in his forties, short-statured, wearing a gray Daoist robe with a commanding disposition, holding an iron basin in hand. Above him, three clouds of Gang Qi swirled like waves, faintly merging—it seemed he was about to step into the Third Realm as a great cultivator.

The green-clothed cultivator came forward, greeting him with courtesy and then stepping aside, saying, "This is Han Wangke, Master Han, an esteemed guest of my Python Clan; he previously cultivated in East Splendor, his sect origin is quite distinguished."

Shao Zhongxiang sensed this person was extraordinary, and greeted with rare politeness, saying, "Two hundred years ago, I traveled to East Splendor Continent seeking the path; I wonder which sect Master Han originated from?"

Han Wangke said indifferently, "Apologies Sect Leader Shao, I’m but a discarded disciple of my sect, let’s leave the past unmentioned."
