Shen Mubai walked into the hospital room and glanced at the things smashed into a mess. He pushed his rimless glasses up his nose and looked at his assistant, "Go call someone from the equipment department to estimate the losses."
The assistant quickly left.
Shen Mubai took a look at Wen Ru and called an orthopedic specialist to help her check the plaster cast to make sure everything was alright. He sighed with relief and looked at Huo Jinnan and Che Huan, "Brother Huo, sister-in-law, Aunt Wen is fine."
Wen Ru lay there without speaking, as if sinking into some deep memory, filled with pain and struggle.
Che Huan watched from the side, her heart aching a little. She hadn’t expected that because of herself, her mom had suffered such torment and humiliation at the hands of Huo Jinyun, "Mom, I’m sorry."
Hearing Che Huan’s voice, Wen Ru came to her senses and looked at her, speaking in a daze, "Huanhuan, don’t blame yourself. It’s not your fault. This is a feud between me and Huo Jinyun."

Che Huan was stunned, turning to look at Huo Jinyun, who was disheveled and being forcibly detained by the hospital security. Her mother had just said it was a feud between her and Huo Jinyun?

The security guards looked at each other, unsure whether to act.
Seeing the guards hesitate, Huo Jinyun’s smile grew as she was about to speak again when Huo Jinnan’s icy voice reached her ears, "Say one more word, and Gu Jizhou will suffer more inside. You’d best weigh your options."
The smile on Huo Jinyun’s face froze. She looked at Huo Jinnan, "Jinnan, do you really think Che Huan loves you?"
"Whether she loves me or not, I don’t need you to tell me."
Huo Jinnan looked at the nurse, "Get Aunt Wen another room."
Turning his gaze away, it landed on Che Huan, "Huanhuan, you go take care of Auntie."
Che Huan hummed in agreement, watched the nurse lift Wen Ru onto the stretcher, walked over, steadied it, and pushed it out of the hospital room. As she passed Huo Jinyun, she looked at her and smiled sweetly, "Even if I’m an illegitimate child, I’m still better than a parasite who relies on family protection to cause trouble."
"You... you, Che Huan, what did you say, say it again!"
Huo Jinyun glared at Che Huan with flaming eyes, raising her hand and aiming a slap at her face.
Just as the slap was about to land, a powerful force came out of nowhere, gripping her wrist tightly.
Huo Jinyun struggled briefly, her wrist feeling as if it had been dislocated from the grip of Huo Jinnan, turning her face ghostly white with pain.
She turned to look at Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan stood there, his presence continuously emanating coldness.
Huo Jinyun felt as if she had been chilled to the bone, shivering uncontrollably.
As her eyes met Huo Jinnan’s, she quickly looked away, only to meet Wen Ru’s gaze.
Wen Ru lay on the stretcher, looking at Huo Jinyun with a faint smile.
It was that smile that provoked Huo Jinyun to the verge of madness, standing there with her blood rushing to her head.
She had wanted to make Wen Ru suffer, but it ended up turning into Wen Ru laughing at her!
She found it impossible to swallow this displeasure.
Huo Jinnan stood there, his whole being radiating iciness. He lit a cigarette and watched as Wen Ru was pushed away, then his gaze fell back on Huo Jinyun.
