Chapter 521: Separating Liza’s Soul
The two followed after Sofiel out of the room and the wooden palace, quickly reaching the backyard where a huge garden waited for them. However, in contrast to a usual garden filled with flowers and trees, here one could see coffins placed everywhere in a circular manner.
"The hell happened here?" Khal’s brow immediately furrowed with confusion, his gaze shifted to Sofiel on his side.
[The way those coffins are placed is akin to...]
’A ritual.’ Cal nodded secretly, Alta’s image popping up in his head, "So it seems Alta was increasing her Blessing, huh?"
Upon hearing his words, Sofiel although surprised still nodded and explained, "Yes, Alta asked for my permission if she could use dead bodies here and use their corpses to boost her Blessing’s power before she decides to fuse it into her Semi-Domain."
"Oh..." Khal let out a small sigh, but it was not long before his eyes widened and asked, "Wait, if that is true then the bodies are..."
Sofiel smiled softly, even seemingly about to laugh, and said, "Don’t worry, the bodies are intact."
Khal sighed with relief only for his face to become confused once again and ask, "Though, just why are there so many corpses? Did something happen after we have left?"
"In fact, yeah." Sofiel sighed with sorrow and a hint of regret, "After the two of you ascended, a small group of cultivators tried to destroy the sect and gain power. A bloody war broke out which luckily ended up in our victory but also with grave consequences."
Cal frowned when he heard Sofiel’s story.
[Don’t be so surprised. Once one ascends to the Sixth Realm, their Loyal Followers will gain freedom and can do as they wish. It is already a huge surprise the majority of your Loyal Followers decided to stay loyal to her the moment you left.]
’...Is that so?’ Cal’s sharp eye quickly turned calm, no longer caring about the matter.
On the other hand, Khal like a furious child sneered coldly and his eyes got filled with deep killing intent.
"Is there any that are still alive?"
"Hey, fussbudget, calm down. This is not the place where you can throw a tantrum and you know that too." Cal stated calmly but also with a sharp look to which Khal snorted coldly and turned his head to the side.
[Just like a kid...]
Cal shook his head helplessly and looked at Sofiel, who at this moment looked at Khal in puzzlement.
"Say, is there a corpse that is not older than 3 days?"
"Huh?" Sofiel turned her head at Cal, and seeing him staring at her she flinched and quickly snapped out of her daze.
"Umm... Let me think... While it is true that the majority of these corpses are older than a month I remember Alta brought a few, three to be exact, here yesterday."
Shortly after saying that, Sofiel began to walk before three coffins and pointed at them, "Yeah, these are the ones."
Cal didn’t say anything and opened all three coffins’ lids, quickly revealing three different corpses, two males and one female, each seemingly hailing from the same race as they all had the same short but curved pair of horns coming out of their foreheads.
Cal looked at the female corpse for a few seconds before he waved his hand and placed it into his Monarch Ring, just in the same manner as he used to do with other inanimate objects and items!
"What are you d-"
"It’s okay, let him do it." Khal quickly stopped Sofiel, who although confused nodded after a small hesitancy and took a step backward.
"We are done here," Cal said indifferently and after placing numerous pill-filled pouches on the ground he glanced at Khal.
"Thank you. I will explain everything later, I promise." Khal showed a wry smile and stood beside Cal.
"Also, if there are still any that dares to cause you trouble then-" Khal began to speak, but just as he reached the middle of his sentence Cal rolled his eyes and waved his hand, quickly teleporting both of them into thin air, leaving Sofiel behind stupified.

Inside the Fourth Realm, several miles in the air.
"Then just wait, I will definitely give them a piece of my... mind. Hey, the fuck are you doing? I was talking!"
"And?" Cal raised a brow, looking at Khal like a fool.
"And? What and? Were you not taught that if someone is talking you listen until the end without interrupting?" Khal blurted out, his face full of annoyance.
[Is he really talking about ethics now?]
’It seems so.’ Cal replied silently to Nova before he decided to ignore Khal and search after Liza with his Heaven’s Eyes.
"H-Hey! I was talking to you! Don’t you dare to ignore me or..."
Cal couldn’t take it any longer and waved his hand, teleporting Khal back to the Fifth Realm.
"I swear he gets more and more annoying as the days go." Cal sighed and shook his head before he took a deep breath and proceeded on focusing on his objective, finding Liza.
And exactly a few moments later, Cal opened his eyes and vanished into thin air, reappearing thousands of miles away, right above a battlefield where numerous individuals were clashing with each other, giving rise to massive amounts of explosions and chaos!
"This takes way too long." remaining in the air for three hours straight, Cal furrowed his brows and appeared beside a beautiful figure who just happened to slice a cultivator into two with the ice sword in her delicate hands.
"I hope you won’t be angry if I steal a few seconds from your life, will you?" Cal said with a soft smile as he grabbed the stupefied and even frightened Liza by her waist and without waiting for an answer teleported away.
"Wha- Cal!" at first, Liza was confused and even believed she was all of a sudden ambushed, but when she recognized the familiar face her expression became ecstatic, and jumped toward him.
"Bitch!" suddenly Liza’s face changed and even before she could have reacted her own arm moved, her fist quickly slamming into her own face and forcing her to fall to the ground.
