Chapter 497: Battle Against Daire, Lord of the Sixth Realm! (1)
While the number of Loyal Followers Khal has accumulated was insane in amount, the number of planets under his control and the resources gathered from them were not small either.
There were literally thousands of planets he gained as a result of killing all his enemies after the challenge, which naturally included the Realm Dungeons from where he obtained the small cube currently held in his hand.
"So you have finally figured out that cubes use, huh?" while Khal was walking through a long wooden bridge to the spot where he asked Alta to gather everyone, suddenly Sofiel’s beautiful figure descended from the sky to his side and followed him with a soft smile.
Khal gave Sofiel a sideways glance once she was beside him and nodded, "Yeah, but it seems this treasure is a little special. If my guess is correct, once I activate it, it will be able to boost everyone’s cultivation process by several folds."
"What?" Sofiel’s eyes widened before she calmed down, "Well, although that is good news, it still pales in comparison to that scroll you have given me in the past."
Khal just shook his head. After all, while it was true what Sofiel just said, that scroll was not something he will give to everyone. That is literally a priceless treasure that could initiate a war between cultivators in a single blink!
After walking to the end of the wooden bridge and reaching this large clearing with several miles long stone platforms placed on it which had different statues on each corner, Khal halted his steps and asked, "Anyways, did you do what I have asked you?"
"If you are talking about our promise, yes, I have."
"And?"
"And it seems I have found two candidates. Naturally, it was all doable because of the massive increase in the number of your Loyal Followers." Sofiel replied calmly as she watched how more and more cultivators started to arrive on the large stone platform.
"However, there is a small ’problem’."
Khal raised a brow when he heard Sofiel’s following words and looked at her with puzzlement, "Which is?"
"I..." Sofiel suddenly became flustered and started to mutter but after seeing Khal’s confused gaze she took a deep breath and said, "While I still don’t have a clue why you needed my help to find candidates who are on the verge of dying, I must tell you that the two cultivators who I have found are... very old and will possibly die in the following week."
"Huh?" Khal was surprised when he heard this but soon sighed and said, "I see, thank you for telling me. So, where are they now?" Khal asked as he watched the several thousands of cultivators in front of him, each looking at him with gazes filled with curiosity, respect, and admiration.
"What? That’s it? That is your reaction?" Sofiel blurted out, believing she would get something else as a reply.
However, Khal just sighed and shook his head helplessly. He knew there was no point in explaining to Sofiel why he was so nonchalant about this matter.
Sofiel closed her lips seeing Khal shaking his head, and while she felt confused she had no choice but to describe the appearance of the two cultivators.
Khal listened carefully and a few minutes after Sofiel finished her description it didn’t take him even five seconds to spot both cultivators within the sea of cultivators in front of him.
One was an old lady with a hunched back and a tail akin to a lizard. She had long white hair, vertical eyes with green iris, grey scaled skin, and a weak aura.
On the other hand, the other cultivator despite having a fit and muscular look, from his exhausted look and almost depressed aura around him it was obvious he has already given up on life.
He had a humanoid appearance with crimson and orangish hair with slight grey strands of hair visible, a golden iris that now lost its former vigor and sharpness, and skin that was akin to bronze.
"Good. Please keep your eyes on them and notify me if anything happens with them." Khal said and once he saw that almost everyone was present he raised his hand that held the small cube and channeled a massive amount of his Body Essence into it.
Whoosh!
In that instant, the cube flashed and appeared right above the center of the sea of cultivators before it slowly began to spin and emit green light that covered the entirety of the platform!
"W-What is happening?"
"This... Why do I feel... so relaxed all of a sudden?"
"Me too! I feel as if I am floating on clouds for some reason!"
Everyone looked at the cube and each other in confusion, but soon their questions were answered.
"Everyone! That treasure in the sky is a treasure I acquired from a Realm Dungeon not long ago. It will significantly boost your cultivation, so any of you that are struggling to create your True Domain, this is the perfect chance!"
"What?!"
Every cultivator felt disbelief when they heard Khal’s words and quickly sat down to see if it was true. And it didn’t even take a minute before someone shouted;
"I-It really works! My cultivation speed has tripled!"
"Mine became four times faster!"
"Mine too!"
Cultivators one after another started to shout with visible excitement in their voices, causing others that first felt skeptical to sit down and start cultivating right away!
Khal upon seeing how soon every cultivator on the platform began to cultivate in silence, some just increasing their strength while others trying to form their True Domain, nodded with satisfaction and turned to face Sofiel.
"I will be away for a while so in the meantime please make sure you keep an eye on those two," Khal said, and once he saw Sofiel nod he used the talisman he got from Hale to teleport away.
Whoosh!
In a second, Khal found himself on top of a flat but gigantic podium which seemingly had no end as it could be seen even on the horizon while above him a massive white orb floated, its celestial body emitting a gentle white glow akin to a star.
