Chapter 481: First Challenger
Sitting on the shore of the massive lake, Khal held a nonchalant expression while around him, half-transparent particles were slowly expanding into the distance, forming a circular-shaped domain around him.
These particles, of course, were his Body Essence which after an entire week of trying and with the help of Hale’s scroll he was able to push out of his body which in the past would have been impossible to do.
So far until now, he could only control his Essence within him and push it outside his body only by a limited extent, like a few inches at the very most. Yet, now that limit all thanks to the scroll Hale had given him got pushed out several meters, and at the moment he could expand his domain more than twenty meters!
This also meant that now, in a twenty meters radius he could use his Essence to inflict a small amount of damage to his enemies, which while against a powerful foe had no purpose at all, against a weaker one it could at least work as a way of intimidation.
Though, although twenty meters radius was already a huge feat to achieve, Khal was not satisfied at all and kept increasing the radius bit by bit.
Of course, doing this also meant his journey to create his True Domain will be only harder and harder.
As for the reason?
It was because the large he was trying and will make his Essence Zone the harder it will be for him to link his consciousness and soul with it while also the more unstable will it become during the Domain Forming process where he transfers his Soul World from his deeps part of his consciousness and reconstructs it outside his body!
After all, if one attempts to create a large building with a shaky base, it had a great chance that it will all of a sudden collapse somewhere halfway through the construction process, right?
However, thankfully Khal was well-aware of this fact and this is why he was slowly expanding his essence outwards instead of doing it hastily. Moreover, with the ridiculous amount of his Essence, he could even make several layers of essence blend onto each other, further thickening and firming the base of his future True Domain which will help him avoid the possibility of it suddenly collapsing!
And just like that, after sitting in one place and cultivating non-stop for a little more the five weeks, Khal was finally satisfied with himself. He succeeded in increasing his Essence Zone’s radius to more than 300 meters while also thickening it enough to be so solid that the blue particles literally formed dense blue clouds whose weight was easily felt if one touched them!
And the best thing about this was that he could control the Essence as if it was in his body, meaning he could pull it back into his body and summon it around him as freely as breathing the air in and out!
’Let’s start with the second step then.’ Khal thought to himself, however, just as he was ready to follow the steps to connect his consciousness with the Essence Zone, suddenly the whole world below him began to shake like crazy!
Tremble!!
"W-What is happening? An earthquake?" Sofiel, who was still sitting in one place struggling to push her essence out of her body snapped her eyes wide open and looked around, only to see that everywhere around her she could only see nothing else but the color blue!
Yes! Until now, she had been sitting inside Khal’s Essence Zone without noticing it!
"Calm down. It is just a being trying to challenge us." Khal said calmly as he withdrew his essence back into his body, and under the stupefied gaze of Sofiel pointed toward a thick pillar in the distance.
It was the Celestial Pillar, and even from far away, it was vibrating with a gently silver glow, causing the whole world to shake in response.
[Will you accept the challenge?]
Khal looked at the pillar in silence for a long moment before shaking his head.
’There is no reason. While I am confident in winning, I don’t seem to find the reason to accept it and fight just to have another world under my control. Or at least not until I have successfully formed my True Domain.’
Nova seemed to understand Khal and couldn’t help but silently praise him.
After all, one had to understand that within the Fifth Realm there were no separated regions for different level cultivators akin back inside the Fourth Realm or in the Third Realm. Just like in the first two Realms, here all kinds of beings from weakest to strongest could be found anywhere, meaning, it was possible that the one challenging Khal at this moment had his or her True Domain already formed!
Furthermore, it was also possible that if the cultivator challenging him had already fought others in the past and won, then he or she could challenge him with the help of others who also had the possibility that they had their Domain formed!
And while Khal was confident in emerging as the victor in the very end even against hundreds of cultivators, it would not be as easy as his battles against others back in the Fourth Realm.
After all, here in the Fifth Realm, all the cultivators that successfully formed their Domain were akin to gods as within their Domain they were the absolute rulers! And countering others’ Domains while being not impossible it was extremely hard for even someone like Khal, not to mention if he has to fight and counter several at the same time!
"Just try and ignore it," Khal said to Sofiel before thinking for a few seconds and deciding to hand her the scroll which obviously confused her.
"What’s this?" Sofiel frowned softly, but the very moment she opened it and read the first few words her body froze, and her lips parted from sheer shock.
