Chapter 475: Ragh’s New Master
"This..." silence descended on the huge platform inside the separate space, all the Realm Lords staring at Khal’s and Ragh’s figure, or to be more precise at his shell with eyes filled with disbelief.
The same went for Sofiel on top of the Floating Coleoseum too while Ragh’s mouth opened and closed from time to time as he tried to speak but failed to do so.
"I hope you will keep your promise." Khal showed a calm smile as he descended and looked at Ragh’s colossal figure from below.
Ragh watched dumbfoundedly Khal’s figure before he shifted his attention to the now almost entirely shattered shell on his back.
"...How did you do it?" Ragh decided to ask after a few seconds of pondering.
For him, a Celestial Realm Beast, a creature that lived just as long as Hale, something like this was greatly shameful. Never in his vast and long life did he experience such a blow to his pride as this very moment.
One had to know that for Ragh the greatest pride was his shell and its defensive capability as not even those Sixth Realm existences would find themselves lost if they wished to crack his shell.
Hence, upon seeing how a little peak Fourth Realm cultivator succeeded in something not even top cultivators could achive, it was only natural for Ragh to be lost for words and feel confused.
Khal looked at the giant snail and said, "Not everything is about strength and raw strength. Sometimes one has to think outside the box and find other ways to achive something that by normal means would be impossible to acquire."
"Yeah, I am perfectly aware of that. But that won’t explain how you were able to shatter my whole shell with a single punch!" Ragh blurted out with a hint of annoyance, seemingly aggravated that Khal was trying to be oh-so mysterious.
Khal, however, just smiled calmly without saying a word. Like, who would believe that the main reason he was able to crack the whole shell was that he concentrated all of his Essence to a single point?
No one, right?
However, it was the truth. Just like how a thin but firm needle was capable of shattering even the toughest glass into pieces, with him forming a small but firm essence thread at the tip of his fist and using it to strike the area where Ragh’s shell was the thinnest, it was child’s play to force the shell to crack before shattering the whole thing from the inside with both his insane amount of Body Essence and with his Hell Blaze!
Of course, his Power Cores that increased his overall strength helped him achieve success too, but the main reason was all thanks to the ones mentioned above!
"So what now? You said you will become my loyal follower if I succeed in cracking your whole shell, so I hope you will keep your promise."
"You brat..." Ragh became angered by Khal’s words, but just as he could have said anything else white light engulfed both him and Khal before both of them vanished into thin air.
Meanwhile, Sofiel who stood in the distance with a stupefied expression remained motionlessly standing on the floating platform alone, trying to process all the things she has just witnessed.
Whoosh!
"W-Woah!" Khal was slightly taken by surprise by the sudden change of events, and watched as he was teleported onto a massive platform with a floating orb that was as large as a planet above his head!
[Be careful. It seems you are not alone.]
’Yeah, I noticed it already.’ Khal nodded in his heart as he could feel how several powerful cultivators’ presences lingered in the air, each locked on him from a distance.
"Whenever I think you have played all of your cards and no longer can you bring any surprises to me, you always refute my belief and prove me wrong! Haha!"
Upon hearing the familiar voice coming from the side, Khal’s tense nerves relaxed a bit and a small smile formed on the corner of his mouth.
"It’s good to see you again too, Hale." Khal turned his head to the side and watched as Hale appeared out of thin air and walked before him.
"You have changed a lot." Hale pointed out as he examined Khal from top to bottom to which Khal just laughed softly and shook his head helplessly.
After all, this was the truth indeed. Thanks to his Divine Soul Sutra not only did his outer appearance become more handsome but his demeanor became much more mature.
"So... What is this place? Why did you bring me here? I am pretty sure not just to say a few kind words after almost a decade, correct?" Khal after a moment of thought asked Hale.
"You are indeed correct." Hale nodded and quickly extended his hand and a small creature appeared in the middle of his palm.
"Isn’t this..." Khal’s eyes flashed with surprise
"Bingo! He is Ragh, my pet and also the Celestial Realm Beast guarding the Floating Coleoseum and determining who is worthy of to ascend into the Fifth Realm and who is not." Hale explained as he watched how the now tiny Ragh sat in the middle of his palm, looking rather weak as his shell was full of cracks and was on the verge of shattering completely!
"Lord Hale, I..." Ragh wished to say something but seeing Hale shaking his head gently he sighed with sorrow and began to move with a speed that was the complete opposite a snail should possess!
Whoosh!
Khal watched with calm eyes as Ragh appeared on his shoulder, each of his heads looking at Hale’s figure with guilt and regret as if he just made the biggest mistake in his life!
"From this day onward, Ragh will be yours and whatever you tell him to do he will do it just as he did until now for me," Hale stated with a soft smile, showing no anger at all, only a hint of small sorrow that flashed in his eyes before vanishing completely.
