Chapter 472: Celestial Realm Beast (2-Last)
"Congratulations on becoming an Overlord." Sofiel looked at Khal’s handsome face with a calm face but with a soft blush visible on her cheeks.
Khal just nodded as a means of thanks before he waved his hands and directed the rest of the approaching Battle Essence toward Sofiel.
"Huh? Why..."
"If you want to help me you have to ascend to the Fifth Realm together with me. And without challenging the Celestial Realm Beast which also requires you to become an Overlord, it will be not possible at all." Khal explained calmly.
Sofiel opened her eyes to say something but soon realized Khal was right hence just sighed and nodded.
She would be a fool not to live with such a golden opportunity!
Like, was this even a question? While Khal was an exception because of his monstrous strength, a normal cultivator needed several years to reach the peak of the Fifth Realm!
For instance, while Sofiel was 64 years old, which didn’t show on her outer appearance at all, as one’s look was very deceiving in the cultivation world, in reality, she arrived in the Fourth Realm at the age of 45!
She struggled for almost 20 years just to reach the Initial Phase of the Fourth Cultivation Stage, so it would be a huge waste of opportunity not to accept Khal’s help.
"Thank you." without saying anything else, Sofiel extended her delicate fingers toward the mass of swirling Battle Essences in front of her and without hesitation quickly started to consume them.
And just like that, another two days passed by in a blink before Sofiel also succeeded in becoming an Overlord.
"I don’t know how I should pay your kindness back." Sofiel sighed as she followed after Khal to the location where they could challenge the Celestial Realm Beast.
Although Sofiel was usually a proud and rather cold individual, she was not arrogant to the point of not recognizing one’s good intentions and doing whatever she could to repay that!
Hence why, after seeing how Khal helped her not only reach the Fifth Cultivation Stage faster than she has ever believed, she also got a chance to cure the curse on her soul which she received after fighting a terrifying individual back in the Second Realm.
"You don’t have to repay me anything." Khal glanced at Sofiel behind his shoulder and calmly said, "Did you forget? I helped you become an Overlord for you to help me once we reach the Fifth Realm together. As for the pills, they are the rewards for helping me."
"I know, but still..." Sofiel sighed once again before shaking her head, causing her silky hair to sway behind her golden wings.
After flying a few hours straight while killing those arrogant and fool cultivators that tried to stand in their way, Khal and Sofiel finally reached the westernmost region of the Fourth Realm.
In contrast to all the other Realms where planets existed without any edge to fall into space, the Fourth Realm was a massive flat world that had edges from where if one was not careful enough could fall into the eternal darkness!
And exactly at the very edge of the western areas of the Fourth Realm, Khal and Sofiel stood before a great azure gate which was so tall and wide that they looked like ants before a colossal giant!
"Are you ready?" Khal asked once he examined the gate and made sure no one was trying to ambush them as he heard from Sofiel how some cultivators assaulted and killed those who were about to ascend.
"Un." Sofiel nodded to which Khal placed his palm atop the gate’s surface and watched how azure light engulfed his and Sofiel’s body before teleporting them away into another location.
Whoosh!
In an instant, Khal found himself together with Sofiel on a large azure platform while beyond its edges he could see nothing but darkness!
"Welcome to the Floating Coleoseum, brave souls!"
Tremble!!
As the loud and deep voice reverberated throughout the whole platform previously called the Floating Coleoseum, azure light flashed a few hundred meters away from Khal and Sofiel before a creature slowly materialized in their line of sight out of nowhere.
The beast, although having a rough guess of what it looked like as the Record of All Realms contained some information about it, was nothing how Khal expected to see.
According to the Record of All Realms, the Celestial Realm Beast was a huge creature with the appearance of a snail. However, while it was true that the beast in front of Khal and Sofiel looked like a crawler, it was not an ordinary one at all.
The Celestial Realm Beast was about five hundred meters tall and two hundred meters long with a massive shell on its back! It had five heads, each having long and thin eyes akin to a snail, but they also possessed wide mouths, filled with razor-sharp teeth each!
Furthermore, while the slimy skin of the beast was deep purplish-blue and the shell on its back deep black, the bottom of the snail was engulfed in dense white mist, giving it an appearance as if it was floating on clouds!
"Hmm..." while the two of them examined the beast in front of them in silence, the Celestial Realm Beast shifted all his eyes at Khal before speaking, "Your presence... So it was you, huh? What is your name, young one?"
"Khal Nevio," Khal replied nonchalantly.
"I see, so you are the one who Lord Hale is talking about and praises all the time."
"Lord who?" Sofiel asked with a raised brow as this was her first time hearing the name Lord Hale.
However, the Celestial Realm Beast just simply ignored Sofiel’s question and confused gaze, and instead said, its loud voice celebrating everywhere around the platform like thunder;
"Well, whatever. If what Lord Hale has said about you is indeed true, you will have no trouble at all completing the challenge, right?"
Upon hearing the words of the Celestial Realm Beast, a soft smile appeared on Khal’s face, showing he was more than confident in his abilities to complete whatever challenges that will be put before him.
