Chapter 465: Soul Separation(1)
"I wonder who is the fool now," Khal spoke calmly with indifferent eyes as he watched how the cultivator’s body became ice powder and was blown away by the breeze from the distance.
Then, extending his hand toward the once Warmaster Stage Cultivator’s corpse, Khal quickly consumed his Battle Essence.
[Congratulations! You have consumed enough Battle Essence to become a Master Stage Cultivator!]
[You have ascended to the Second Cultivation Stage!]
[All your Power Cores have improved by one Cultivation Stage!]
"Nice." Khal showed a satisfied smile and concentrated on the battlefield around him while also consuming the reaped Battle Essences.
Time passed quickly and while Khal was occasionally targeted and attacked by Third Cultivation Stage beings who were able to defend against his assaults from the sky, in the end, they all succumbed to their demise as if they were just mere ants before Khal!
"Hmm... It seems this is all." upon seeing how the last sword fell and how the final Battle Essence had been consumed by him, Khal lowered his hand and opened his Status.
---------------------
{Cultivator Status}
• Cultivation Talent: Power Imitation
• Natural Born Talent: Perfect Disguise
• Hidden Talent: Divine Soul Sutra
• Body Essence: 2,170,296
• Reaped Battle Essence: 625 (9,375 more needed)
• Cultivation Stage: Master
---------------------
[It seems you don’t have to consume Beast Essence besides Battle Essence to reach the next Cultivation Stage]
As it was already mentioned, in the Fourth Realm one not only had to increase their Blessing the same way they did back in the First and Second Realm but also kill other cultivators and consume their Battle Essence.
However, it seemed for Khal this was not the case. It turns out Batlle Essence not only was capable of refining and increasing one’s Body Essenced to a limited degree but it can also function as if it was a Beast Essence!
"If we consider that I am the only human in existence that successfully reached the Fourth Realm, it is no wonder until now no one knew about this," Khal said as he began to walk away.
Now that he has killed literally everyone on the battlefield there was no reason for him to stay. Instead, he decided to find a city where he could rest a little and examine his Divine Soul Sutra in greater detail.
"Also, I am starving... I wonder if there is a good restaurant nearby." Khal mumbled as he touched his stomach which grumbled uncontrollably.
While he has brought some food with him when he ascended into the Third Realm, it was only an amount that was just enough for about a year at most!
The only reason he has not starved to death was that he was a cultivator and with a single piece of meat, he could live for months. But even without any, he still can use his Body Essence to replenish his body with nutrients which while benefiting him greatly in the short run didn’t work in the long run!
Swoosh!
Activating his Heaven’s eyes to the absolute limit, everything around Khal in a hundred miles radius became visible in his mind, allowing him to see if there was any city nearby.
"Phew... It seems there is one." Khal sighed with relief and without hesitation dashed toward the city’s direction.
It didn’t even take him 10 minutes to reach the city, which while being surrounded by a tall and circular wall made out of some special alloy in the middle of a vast wasteland, was at the most two miles large in radius!
"You! Stop right there! Who are you and what business do you have in Crimson Blood City?"
Watching how the two guards at the city entrance pointed their swords at him Khal didn’t feel threatened not offended at all and halted his steps.
In fact, he recognized the race the two guards haled as their appearance was something he can hardly forget.
[Berserkers, huh?]
Khal nodded secretly at Nova’s exclamation before he opened his mouth and began to speak calmly, "My name is Khal Nevio. As for my business in this city is nothing worth mentioning. I just simply wish to fill my stomach with warm food and rest a little before leaving."
The two guards upon hearing Khal’s words looked at each other before lowering their weapons and relaxing.
Of course, their behavior was somewhat understandable. After all, this was the Fourth Realm where one could only reach the next Cultivation Stage if they were killed, implying everyone was everyone’s enemy!
After calming down, the guard on the left looked at Khal’s calm and handsome figure and quickly said, "You have to pay 100 Gold Coin to enter the city."
’100 Gold Coin? That’s rather a huge amount.’ Khal thought in his heart as he could clearly remember how in the Second and First Realm the fee one had to pay to enter a city was only a few Gold Coins and not one hundred.
However, although 100 pieces of Gold Coin was a huge amount for an average cultivator with no special background, for the current Khal it was just pocket money after his Realm Tournament back in the Second Realm.
He literally had millions of Gold Coins in one of his spatial rings, so a mere one hundred was nothing for him.
"Sure." Khal nodded his head and took out a small leather pouch from his spatial ring and handed it over to the guard who after checking that there indeed were 100 Gold Coins within nodded and allowed Khal to pass through.
"Damn, life is indeed unfair." once Khal was no longer visible, the Berserker who held the pouch sighed.
"Where did this come from now?" the other Berserker asked with confusion.
"Don’t tell me you have not seen him! I bet he gets all the chicks he wants!"
"Of course I have! But then what? What matters is on the inside and not on the outside. Maybe he looks a little handsome but that won’t rule out the possibility that he is a psychopath and a total creep!"
"Or you are just mad that he is more handsome than you are and ever will be."
"Say whatever you want, I know that I am right and not everything is about one’s look or appearance."
"You are hurting."
"...Fuck you."
