Chapter 449: A Whole New but Abandoned World (2-Last)

After opening the door into the next room which ironically was larger than the interior of the biggest palace inside the Second Realm, Khal and Hale decided to look around.

Books and scrolls with almost infinite numbers that differed in size and thickness were everywhere around the huge library, each containing a vast amount of knowledge that could easily help any race climb to the top and rule over the entire Realm!

There were scrolls about fighting skills, techniques for pill concocting, guides about alchemy, arrays, formations, and blacksmith inns, records about history, places, beasts, and even different characteristics of various races!

Every book and scroll contained so much precious knowledge about things that existed in the Second Realm one way or another that each of them individually could be sold for astronomical prices!

However, despite having such a value, for some reason, Khal couldn’t help but feel as all the hair on his body stood upward as an uncomfortable sensation swept through his body.

"These contain just way too detailed information... This feels like as if..."

"As if everything and everyone in the Second Realm had been watched and studied for several decades without anyone’s knowledge." Hale finished Khal’s sentence, but for some reason his usual calm tone this time held coldness and even a hint of anger.

Of course, Khal understood why Hale sounded like that. After all, it could be said Hale was the father of everything in this world and the Seven Realms were his home. It was only natural for him to feel anger after finding out strangers had invaded his domain and behind his back not only were wondering but even taking notes about several things!

Furthermore, after seeing all this, Hale couldn’t help but wonder just what else these foreigners who called themselves Realm Walkers had been doing without him noticing it.

"Let’s see what else we can find." placing a small book that had a cover made out of some kind of animal fur, Hale began to walk forward.

As for Khal, he had no choice but to follow and ignore the chilling aura around the ruler of the Seven Realms.

The two walked through the library and soon arrived before another door, which with the help of Khal opened with ease.

The scenery, however, on the other side was just as surprising as the first two times this time after crossing the door Khal and Hale found themselves in a huge city.

Skyscrapers, restaurants, facilities, normal houses, wide streets, and narrow alleys. Just as any city, this one too was filled with almost uncountable and different types of buildings.

However, as there was no one else around except Khal and Hale, they were closed while it was incredibly dark inside.

In fact, the whole city was dark and if it were not for the lamps on the sides of the streets that emitted a gentle yellow glow Khal and Hale at this moment would have been standing in complete darkness!

After exploring the city and finding nothing, Khal and Hale went to find another door, which they did and entered the next room.

Looking around the room they were in, inspecting whatever they found interesting and ignoring those that they did not, and entering the next room.

Khal and Hale explored every room they walked into and after close to fifteen hours of wandering from room to room, they finally reached the room that seemed to be the control center.

The room, in contrast to all the rooms they have explored so far, was not insanely large and spacious, but was still big enough to contain around a thousand people with ease.

Furthermore, as the room was circular which was also different from the usually square-shaped rooms they were in, there was a small circular table in the middle with different buttons and panels visible on them.

Hale and Khal walked around the room and inspected everything with great curiosity, but as both of them feared something bad will happen if they press either one of the buttons, none of them dared to touch anything.

"What should we do now?" after inspecting everything but finding nothing Khal looked at Hale who was examining a small panel with a pondering complexion.

Then, with a sudden and somewhat unexpected move, Hale extended his hand and placed his palm onto the panel in front of him.

"Wha-" Khal was taken off guard upon witnessing the sudden move of Hale and all his muscled tensed up at once.

However, his fear of something bad happening resulting in all hell breaking loose didn’t happen, and instead, an object appeared out of thin air in the middle of the circular table that was crafted out of seemingly white steel.

"Huh? A hologram?" Khal quickly recognized that the object that represented the outer appearance of the starship they currently were in was, in fact, a hologram that different from the holograms he has seen in sci-fi movies during his past life looked insanely real!

The only thing that helped him realize that it was a hologram was the soft glow below the miniature version of the starship which from time to time vibrated narrowly.

"Hologram? What is that?" Hale’s ear perked up a little bit after hearing their explanation of Khal his eyes flashed with understanding.

"So it is just like the Halo Projection which allowed other cultivators to witness the Realm Tournament, huh?"

"Yeah, something like that." Khal nodded but deep inside knew that while the two looked similar they were completely different.

While one was created through different formations, and techniques and worked through one’s Body Essence, the other one was the result of a developed technique that worked on a completely different type of energy than Essence!

As for what type of energy it was, Khal had no idea and he vastly doubted that it was electricity.

After all, if humans from his past life developed technology to the point where they were able to travel between realms and dimensions with ease, it was very likely they have invented or at least generated a better source of energy than electricity.
