Standing before Darla, Khal was silent for a few seconds before he crossed his arms before his chest and asked, "So, why does the leader of your race wish to meet me?"
Khal had several ideas about why the leader of the Fairy Race in the Second Realm wished to meet with him, but he still was curious a little.
However, to his surprise, Darla’s face turned slightly troubled upon hearing his question before she shook her head gently and said, "I am sorry, but I was only told she wish to see you in person and discuss some matters. She told no details about my father."
’She?’ Khal raised his brow but soon realization hit him and let out a small sigh.
Just how could he forget something so basic? Khal shook his head with a bittersweet smile in his heart and looked at Darla.
"I see, then please told your father to deliver my following words to the Queen." Khal smiled calmly and after seeing Darla bidding he continued, "If there is anything she wishes to discuss, she is free to come to Moon Sect anytime."
Darla’s eyes widened upon hearing Khal’s words as this was the last thing she expected as an answer. After all, it was the Queen of the Fairy Race, one of the strongest existences in the Second Realm they were talking about, and not someone useless trash!
Yet, without even batting an eye Khal not only declined the Queen’s invitation but also told her if she wants to meet then she should be the one who comes to him and not vice-versa!
For someone who has lived more, seen more, and achieved more than the other party, it was disrespect on another level! Darla couldn’t even imagine... No, she didn’t dare to imagine what kind of consequences will be there if Khal’s words once reaches the Queen’s ear!
"A-Are you kidding me? This is the Fairy Queen we are talking about, you know right?" Darla stared at Khal’s figure with a deeply shocking face, hoping what she just heard was only a mere joke and nothing else.
But to her dismay and utter disbelief, Khal just shook his head casually and said calmly, "I am not. I mean, why should I go to her just because she says so? If she has something to say, she is free to come here and tell me. Also, I am currently busy. I will ascend soon."
"You... What?" suffering another deep shock, Darla’s eyes widened extra-large, threatening to fall out of their sockets.
"Yeah, I will ascend to the Third Realm soon. Perhaps in a few weeks, so I am sorry, but I cannot waste my time going here and there just so I can meet with some big shots who I don’t even know."
"In a few weeks..." Darla mumbled those three words silently before she closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh.
"I see..." opening her eyes, but this time showing great resolution as if she just decided on something, Darla turned around and walked away.
As for Khal, he just watched Darla’s departing figure with a calm gaze and said nothing nor did he wish to say any. What he just said was the truth. He really had no time as he had to make everything to make sure that both he and the sect will be in perfect condition before he decides to ascend.
As for the consequences Darla has just talked about? What kind of joke was that? He was currently at the apex, could be said at the very top among all the beings in the Second Realm. Even if he all of a sudden decided to demolish several races no one could stop him, that’s just how strong he was.
Of course, he won’t do something so foolish as that would only destroy all his efforts until now to make the human race respected once again, and would even make everyone hate them instead!
"I should get going too," Khal mumbled and after pushing Darla’s matter to the back of his head he quickly walked toward the outer walls of the sect on the north.
"Let’s see, it should work like this, right?" extending his hand forward and placing his palm onto the wall’s surface once he arrived before it, Khal closed his eyes and silently activated his newly upgraded ability, his Jade World.
It was the superior version of his Jade Tombstone which he acquired after boosting the level and strength of his former Secret Art with his insane amount of Body Essence.
And to his great and pleasant surprise, this new technique of his called Jade World was an exceptionally powerful and useful ability. It not only allowed him to place marks wherever he wanted and inspect everything within a mile radius around it in his mind freely, but it also granted him the ability to turn anyone he wanted within his territory into jade.
And the best thing about this skill was its ability to create a small token that can allow anyone who was in its possession to trigger the same ability as him!
"This should be enough, right?" after walking around the sect and its proximity to place symbols on different objects and items with his Jade World, Khal closed his eyes and concentrated.
And soon enough, a miniature version of the Moon Sect and its surroundings with every disciple and elder moving here and there in it appeared in his mind, giving him a feeling he was currently looking down at the sect from above.
It was akin to a live video feed but instead of watching it on a television or a device that projected a hologram, he was seeing everything in his mind!
"Nice. Next, I will forge." Khal said to himself and without further ado walked into the Thousand Ore Cave where although a little surprised, Jole still greeted him with greater respect than during his first time.
"Elder Khal, what brings you here? I hope you don’t plan on buying a few more Supreme-Quality Ores just to detonate sect again, haha!"
"Well, as a fact, I do." Khal scratched his cheeks with a kind of an awkward smile on his face, quickly forcing Jole to stop his laugh and look at him with a dumbfounded expression.
