Chapter 429: The Bracelet’s Origin? (3-Last)

"Do you also know what it is?" Khal asked with a calm expression but in his heart, he was slightly anxious.

Like, why wouldn’t he be? Currently, he was in front of a being that easily killed another one who once existed in the Sixth Realm, a Realm that was four entire Realms above him, and who knows how many Cultivation Stages!

If Hale decided to kill him to acquire the bracelet he could do even less than he could have done if Zinnia would have attacked him!

He literally would be a pig waiting to be slaughtered, hoping his death will be fast and painless!

Luckily, the only that calmed his mind and heart was that he at least knew Hale and if he had to judge from the behavior he has seen in the past, he won’t be killed. Or at least not instantly.

Hale just smiled. He could easily see through Khal’s facade and see his true feelings despite him not wishing to show any. Though, despite knowing that Khal was nervous and even a little scared Hale didn’t show any hostility but instead showed a warm smile to show he wished nothing ill.

"Don’t misunderstand my words, I just simply wish to talk about your relic and its origin. I am pretty sure it will grant you great benefit."

"Origin? Benefit? What?" Khal raised a brow, but seeing Hale’s smile he couldn’t help but feel at ease. His smile was just too soothing for the mind and Khal wondered if a war would break out Hale would be able to stop it with his smile alone.

"Yes, your bracelet’s origin. Or don’t tell me you until now belived such a powerful item just happened to fall into your hands for no reason?" Hale asked with an amused smile.

"Huh? Of course not!" Khal quickly refuted Hale’s words, looking completely different than previously.

Khal could clearly remember how Neo explained to him how he acquired his bracelet in the past. He got it from an old man after the incident that the Ourvi Family caused. It was also after that he began to lose his self and senses before he was trapped in the Soul Prison and he gained control over Neo’s body in its whole.

Ever since he heard that story from Neo, Khal tried to find any hint or trace of that old man who gave the bracelet to Neo, but unfortunately found nothing.

Perhaps, the old man possessed similar abilities to Zinnia and could travel between Realms freely. He didn’t really know, but it seems all this will be answered finally today.

"Do you really know this bracelets origin?" Khal asked, his hopes getting raised as this could help him find solutions to all of his and Neo’s problems!

However, his hope was quickly shattered.

"No, I do not." Hale shook his head, but when he saw how Khal’s excitement plummeted in a flash he let out a small chuckle and said, "Or at least, I do not know it’s the true origin, but I have several things that could help you find it out."

Khal raised a brow while his excitement and curiosity also git increased a bit. His ears even perked up slightly too.

Hale nodded with delight and without hesitation began to speak;

"Have you ever heard about the Otherworlders?"

"Otherworlders? What is that? A cult? A band?" Khal asked with a slight tilt of his head to the side.

"A... Band?" Hale was puzzled, but seeing how Khal just remained indifferent he shrugged and continued, "Otherworlders. People, just as their name suggests individuals that came from different worlds."

Khal’s heart shook fiercely the moment he heard Hale’s words, almost as if he had just been hit by lightning.

Otherworlders? People, that come from other worlds? Wasn’t he such an individual too? Or were these Otherworlders somehow different?

"I see, so I guess you didn’t hear about them before." Hale sighed but instead of being dispirited he instead began to explain everything as clearly and as slowly as possible for Khal to understand.

Khal listened to Hale’s speech and the longer he listened the deeper his shock became. He even had to ask several questions to make sure he was not hearing things and to clarify everything that brought doubt in his heart.

It turned out that these Otherworlders were a group of people, a faction that possessed the ability to travel between worlds. According to Hale, each of these Otherworlders had the same bracelet as him and each possessed unfathomable strength and powers, almost as great as him!

However, the most shocking part of the story was not that, but the fact that while these Otherworlders traveled between worlds for unknown purposes, they all came from the same place known as Earth! 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Earth!

The place, the very planet where Khal and Liza have lived in their past lives!

When that information reached Khal’s brain it was as if he got a mental shock and he could hardly process what Hale said afterward. The shock was just too much for him to handle!

While Khal was staring into empty air with eyes that held great and deep confusion, Hale sighed and said, "At first, I thought you were one of them, but when I saw how differently you were behaving from them, even now too, I had to realize that you were not and just happened to acquire one of their ’device’."

Khal didn’t react nor moved. He just sat in one place as numerous questions, ones that until now never emerged in his mind flooded his head like a current.

Hale knew Khal needed time and hence waited in silence. However, he didn’t have to wait for a long while as Khal looked at him and asked, "These Otherworlders... Do you know where they are?"

"Unfortunately, not." Hale shook his head before adding, "However, what I know is that they are always on the move and only remain in one location for a small while. And I know exactly a few of their past locations."

"Really? Did you find anything?" Khal asked instantly, maybe way too immidieatly. But luckily, it didn’t seem Hale found anything strange about his behavior.
