Chapter 506: Chapter 436: Reviewing the Gains and Returning (Part 2)

As the mind controls, all twelve data storage cores in the research room lit up simultaneously, and a vast stream of information converged and archived on the holographic platform.

First knowledge repository: [Time Paradox Generator Research Archive].

This is the essence of a century of research by the Logistics Research Department, embodying the efforts of the most elite logistics wizards of the entire Expeditionary Army.

Although Jeming now can’t understand the latest research outcomes and hasn’t been able to participate in the research for the past decades, unable to acquire relevant knowledge.

He had thoroughly documented and initially digested all foundational theories, experimental data, failure cases, and successful models from the first seventy years.

To be honest, if not for confirming that staying here was less valuable than returning to the Purgatory Sulfur Plane for further research, Jeming would be reluctant to leave.

Second knowledge repository: [Reaper Race Biology Research].

Not just those surface data needed by the combat wizards but also the social structure of this insect civilization, the evolutionary path of its extraordinary system, and the logic of its technology tree development...

Jeming even derived several potential "civilization transition" bottlenecks of the Reaper Race from this, which serves as an important reference for perfecting the social attribute experiments of the Black Giants.

Third, fourth, fifth... 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Abnormal performance of alchemical reactions in chaotic time environments, causal stability corrections of Rune Array, stress distribution model under the backward pressure of the Plane structure...

Each knowledge repository represents a deep expansion of a specific professional domain.

He closed his eyes, allowing his consciousness to sink into the Sea of Spirit.

In that peculiar space constructed by the Ring of Truth, two beams of the law’s light transformation were slowly rotating.

One represents the pale golden "Spiritual Qi Law," which has now increased from 12% a century ago to 12.5% mastery.

This 0.5% progress seems minuscule, but considering the generally increasing difficulty in the latter stages of law research, it is quite significant.

More importantly, this 0.5% advancement was acquired in the process of researching Time Law through "cross-disciplinary insights," without utilizing extra specialized research time.

Jeming calculated, "At the current pace, if focused on Spiritual Qi Law research, complemented by the feedback from the Incense Fire Divine Dao in the Purgatory Sulfur Plane, it could reach one hundred percent in at most a thousand years..."

Honestly, this progress rate is quite astonishing.

Though not as fast as dedicated research, it isn’t bad.

If this rate were publicized, it would be enough to make most wizards envious.

But what caught Jeming’s attention more was the other law, that silver-like flowing "Time Law" light transformation.

A century ago, his mastery of Time Law was almost zero, only gained early on after utilizing a trace of Plane Origin from the Water Elemental Plane.

But the Water Elemental Plane Origin carried knowledge beyond time, making Jeming’s study of time-related knowledge insufficient to form even the lowest tier light transformation on the Ring of Truth.

Now, not only has a light transformation formed, but its consolidation has reached 0.9%.

"0.9%... just a little more to meet the standard of a Fourth Level Wizard specializing in time-related knowledge." Jeming mused.

"Moreover, a 0.9% mastery in Time Law, measured in military merits value..."

Because of their convenience and peculiarities, the market price of time-related Plane Origin has always been about 30% above ordinary Plane Origin.

A standard trace of Plane Origin is generally priced at ten million low level military merits in the Star Ring Federation’s market, while a time-related origin is thirteen million.

A 0.9% mastery of law is equivalent to nine traces of time-related origin.

That amounts to 117 million low level military merits.

"From just knowledge acquisition, a plane war yields profits in excess of a hundred million..." Jeming nodded with satisfaction.

Jeming’s gain from this round of plane war was exceptionally astounding.

Typically, when a First Level Combat Wizard partakes in a plane war, aside from luck, all gains from a war might equate to just a few thousand points in low level military merits.

Second Level Wizards amass tens of thousands of points, Third Level Wizards acquire hundreds of thousands, possibly up to several hundred thousand points, and ordinary Fourth Level Wizards gather just over a million in low level military merits.

This considers converting all gathered knowledge resources, etc., into military merits, whereas Jeming’s pure low level military merits alone had already reached this number.

Not to mention, the high level military merits, the aspiration of mid to low level wizards, and the immense knowledge yet to be assessed in real value.

But upon reflection, it indeed aligns with the intrinsic logic of Wizard Civilization.

Knowledge, particularly high-tier knowledge, remains the most precious resource.

"This is why those Wizard Organizations emphasize logistics research systems so much..." Jeming pondered, "In a plane war, frontline battles might barely earn any ’flow’, but the ’minerals’ uncovered by the Logistics Research Department represents the real profit."

After sorting out all gains, Jeming began packing his personal belongings in the research room.

Most experimental instruments were standard configurations provided by the base and needed to be returned.

The equipment he brought required careful disassembly and should be stored in the Inner Grotto Heaven.

This process took most of the day.

When the last core component was safely packed, Jeming stood in the center of the now vacant research room and glanced around.

A century’s time here likely accounted for one-third of the time spent in this research room.

Those late nights deducing models, moments of excitement or puzzlement over experimental data, and the intense debates with peers from the Logistics Research Department leading to sudden clarity...

"It’s time to go."

He said softly and turned towards the Teleportation Area.

In the corridor, he occasionally met a few other logistics wizards ready to leave, acknowledging each other without much chit-chat.

Interactions among wizards are usually like this, rational and restrained.

Especially after such long-term research projects conclude, everyone is eager to return to digest their gains, to advance their research.

In the Teleportation Area Hall, Artarius’s deputy—a Seventh Level Wizard—was handling the final evacuation matters.

"Researcher Jeming, confirm leaving the Reincarnation Plane research project?" The deputy’s voice was calm and unwavering.

"Confirmed."

"Your contribution assessment completed. Additional reward: a complete Seventh Level Reaper Race body, transported to the personal warehouse at Nolun No.147 Academy, retrievable with identity code."

"Understood."

"Also, Lord Artarius asked me to pass you a message." The deputy lifted his head, looking at Jeming with eyes seemingly imbued with starlight, "’Your research path is interesting, continue on it.’"

Jeming was slightly taken aback, then solemnly saluted, "Thank you, Lord Artarius, for the endorsement."

The Teleportation Array activated.

Dim blue light enveloped his entire body, and space began to twist and fold.

At the last moment before being fully engulfed by the teleportation glow, Jeming turned back for one last look.

Through the observation window of the hall, the peculiar land of the Reincarnation Plane shimmered with a metallic luster under the sunlight.

Though the Time Paradox Generator had ceased operation, its traces would continue to exist on this plane.

In the next moment, the world spun around.

As the vision cleared again, he was already standing on Nolun No.147 Academy’s Teleportation Plaza.

The familiar elemental aura greeted him, and in the distance, the towering Wizard Tower cast a long shadow under the sun, occasionally wizards in flying witchcraft artifacts flitted across the sky.

Everything seemed unchanged from when he left a century ago.

Jeming’s timing of return was opportune, coinciding with the freshman enrollment period.

Observing those carrying their new student gear, walking on the street admirably gawking at surroundings, and occasionally a few young ones with astonishment upon seeing him, Jeming felt a sense of change:

"Unintentionally, I’ve also become a competent wizard..."
