Chapter 505: Chapter 436: Reviewing Gains and Returning

A century passed in a flash.

The Wizard Expeditionary Army base that once surrounded the Divine Hall on the Reincarnation Plane has now shrunk by more than half.

Even the camp that originally rested on the ground has been elevated into the air to better study the Reincarnation Plane as a whole.

The temporary teleportation arrays designed specifically for Combat Wizards have long been closed for decades, leaving only a few large stable teleportation gates for logistics researchers, emitting a faint blue glow.

Inside the base, the once-crowded research areas are now much more spacious.

Jeming walked through the transparent corridor connecting the laboratories, with a high-altitude view thirty thousand meters above the ground, allowing him to see the land below on the Reincarnation Plane that had been transformed by the Time Paradox Generator.

"Researcher Jeming, here is the last batch of data archives you requested."

A floating silver mechanical body drifted beside him, projecting a light curtain.

The light curtain displayed dense data streams, most of which involved the underlying rune interaction models of the time paradox.

Jeming glanced at it and lightly shook his head: "Archive it, seventh sequence encryption."

"Executed," the mechanical body emitted a stable electronic voice, "Additionally, Professor Atlas inquires if you’ll be attending tomorrow’s ’Time Anchor Stability’ seminar."

"Politely decline for me; I’m preparing to leave."

As he spoke these words, a mix of complex emotions surged in Jeming’s heart.

Decades ago, when the Combat Wizards completed their sample collection mission from the Reaper Race and withdrew within a few years, Jeming and other Logistics Department Wizards chose to stay.

The first few decades were incredibly fruitful for Jeming.

The senior wizards in the logistics research department, with an average age of over eight hundred years, had expertise in the domain of Time Laws that opened Jeming’s eyes.

He absorbed knowledge like a sponge, cross-verifying the records of time-related Cultivation Immortality Secret Techniques in the Great Dao Book Pavilion with the Time Knowledge from the Wizard World. His rapid progress surprised the old wizards responsible for his guidance.

But changes began to occur in the past thirty years.

As research on the Time Paradox Generator entered deeper levels, the discussions in the logistics research department became increasingly abstract.

The theoretical models involved expanded from four-dimensional spacetime to high-dimensional topology, the mathematical description of causal logic, the quantum decoherence effects of timelines...

Three years ago, during a seminar, Jeming realized he could no longer fully keep up with the deduction process of the leading wizards.

A year ago, he even needed to consult resources to understand the definitions of certain technical terms.

And just last week, as he attempted to read the core paper in the latest issue of the Journal of Applied Paradoxes of Time, an overwhelming sense of impotence struck him like the collapse of the sky—not because he couldn’t understand the words, but because he couldn’t comprehend the layered theoretical framework behind them.

"Knowledge barriers..." Jeming muttered in a somewhat dejected tone to himself, walking toward his private research chamber.

The internal space of the research chamber had been expanded multiple times and was now the size of a plaza.

Twelve large data storage cores lined the walls, each glowing with the light representing different categories of knowledge.

In the center was a holographic projection platform, upon which floated a three-dimensional model of the Reincarnation Plane, with countless dots of light flowing within it, marking various phenomena generated by the Time Paradox Generator in operation.

Jeming did not immediately begin organizing his belongings, but first walked to a row of breeding tanks on the east side of the research chamber. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Inside the tanks floated several sleeping Reaper Race individuals.

These were samples he had deliberately preserved from the last reincarnation a century ago.

Even in a dormant state, these high-level insectoid creatures gleamed with a metallic luster on their chitinous shells, and the pair of scythe-like structures on their forelimbs emitted a dangerous aura even when still.

"Based on contribution points allocation, I can still acquire a complete Seventh Level Reaper Race body..." Jeming calculated while stroking his chin, "As specifically modified bioweapons, using these materials well might elevate the average combat strength of the cannon fodder army by half a level."

He waved his hand to store the breeding tanks into his Inner Grotto Heaven, then began to methodically organize his century’s worth of accumulation.

First was the military merits statistics.

On the light curtain projected from his personal terminal, the numbers were clearly displayed:

[Low Level Military Merits Balance: 15,271,027,458 points]

[High Level Military Merits Balance: 1,003,200 points]

Most of the Low Level Military Merits came from the technological shares of the Self-Stabilizing Field Regulation Protocol.

This technology, over the course of a hundred years, amassed over a hundred billion Low Level Military Merits.

This additional one million or so was the direct harvest from the century on the Reincarnation Plane.

"I didn’t deliberately scrape for materials in the last round of reincarnation, so this number is quite normal," Jeming mentally calculated, "But if you add the valuation of that Seventh Level Reaper Race body, the total harvest should reach around thirty million Low Level Military Merits... already astronomical for an ordinary Fourth Level Wizard."

More precious are the High Level Military Merits.

A century ago, he spent the 100+ million High Level Military Merits he had, leaving over eighty million.

These High Level Military Merits were primarily used to purchase a large amount of cutting-edge knowledge about Law Research and Plane Construction.

This time, due to his performance in the Time Reincarnation, he caught the attention of Star Caster Artarius, that Eighth Level Grand Mage, who awarded him an additional two hundred thousand High Level Military Merits, bringing the total back to over a million.

"A million High Level Military Merits..." thought Jeming, a glimmer of contemplation in his eyes, "Upon returning, I can attempt to purchase that item I’ve been wanting."

He temporarily set aside these thoughts, turning his attention to the true focal point: the knowledge harvest.
