Chapter 2138: Spirit Boat
Learning about where the two of them had ended up after the power left behind by their master had pulled them away to a safe location, Qing Yi and Chun Hua could not help feeling a bit speechless over just how far they had ended up travelling within such a short time.
If they wanted to get back to the sect on their own, it wouldn’t just take a few months, it would take years if not decades. Even more so, given how they would have to move around or through the Blue Sea Empire that was now considered territory under the demonic cultivators. Making it even more difficult for them to get back to the territory of the Star Shattering Sect.
After all, though the demonic cultivators had a clear agreement with the Star Shattering Sect to not attempt an invasion of the sect’s borders, that kind of agreement was only for those stronger demonic cultivators whose strength surpassed the Soul Ascension Realm, as for demonic cultivators below that... They wouldn’t care the slightest bit about their identity as members of the Star Shattering Sect and would attack them at sight.
Not to mention, this was only within the borders of the sect, should they encounter a powerful demonic cultivator outside the sect’s territory, there was a good chance they wouldn’t care about their identity and would kill them off all the same as any other cultivator they ran into. Even more so if the two of them ended up daring to try and cross through the Blue Sea Empire to get back to the territory of the sect.
Because of this, the two didn’t immediately start their journey back to the sect. Instead, they found a tavern filled with Soul Ascension Realm cultivators waiting for the spirit boat for the Southern Central Region. Using the opportunity with so many different wandering cultivators from all over gathered in one place to deepen their own understanding of the surroundings and at the same time also learn about certain dangerous regions that would be best avoided with their current strength.
Overall, it wasn’t that difficult to get the different Soul Ascension Realm cultivators to talk, as they were more than happy to share their experience with the two of them after they revealed strength comparable to the Soul Ascension Realm. Believing that the two were like them and were just looking for a way to kill time while waiting for the spirit boat to show up.
Maybe because of this, most of the information the two managed to gather on the surroundings came through the bragging of these wandering cultivators who were more than happy to share their past hot-blooded adventurers with their fellow cultivators.
What helped the two even more was the fact that the number of female wandering cultivators was relatively lower compared to the male wandering cultivators waiting around for the spirit boat, and with the two of them being far from bad looking, it garnered quite a bit of good will from the wandering cultivators looking for a chance to show off before setting off for their new adventure in the Southern Central Region where they would likely have to struggle from the bottom once again for a chance to break past the Soul Ascension Realm and step into the Dao Seed Realm that laid beyond it.
Like this a few days flew by before the spirit boat that the group of Soul Ascension Realm wandering cultivators had been waiting around for finally showed up above the small town, causing the wandering cultivators that had been chatting with Qing Yi And Chun Hua about a secret realm they had once braved through to jump up saying they would be leaving first to get a good seat.
From below, Qing Yi and Chun Hua watched in silence.
Neither of them had any plans of stepping onto the flying spirit boat above, as it would only take them farther away from their sect and make the future journey back to the sect even harder than it already was.
Still, to say they weren’t curious would be a lie, as they took the opportunity to carefully observe the flying spirit boat above. Wondering if they could somehow convince Elder Song to divert some of the sect’s resources towards creating something similar for them and the other disciples of the sect.
After all, this kind of treasure boat would be great for carrying a large number of people and would be especially useful for picking up new disciples or moving disciples who hadn’t bought a flying artifact or reached the Domain Lord Realm around, something that was most of the disciples.
Not to mention, the flying spirit boat above was clearly not slow by any means and should be far faster than the two of them from what little Qing Yi and Chun Hua could glimpse through the inscriptions carved into its wooden hull.
As for the disciple belonging to a major power from the Southern Central Region... Qing Yi and Chun Hua guessed he should be the one behind the powerful aura that radiated out from the depths of the spirit boat and made sure none of the passengers dared cause trouble.
Although... To the two of them, the terrifying aura that had intimidated all of the wandering cultivators boarding the spirit boat after paying the few attendants that came out to meet them wasn’t all that terrifying.
If anything, it was somewhat weak compared to what the two of them had been expecting, belonging to someone who should have just recently broken through to the Dao Seed Realm.
But then again, this wasn’t an elder from a major power but instead a disciple, this kind of strength for a disciple alone was already leagues ahead of the Northern Central Region’s younger generation.
In the end, the spirit boat hovering above the small town didn’t linger around for long. Leaving shortly after the different Soul Ascension Realm wandering cultivators that had been waiting around it had boarded. Amongst these wandering cultivators at the Soul Ascension Realm were also a few at the Domain Lord Realm and even a young one at the Nascent Soul Realm who had managed to gather the spirit stones required for the fare through who knows what means.
However, among the people boarding the blacksmith who had been waiting around for yellow thunder rocks was nowhere to be seen.
Clearly, he hadn’t been able to make it in time before the spirit boat had shown up and would now need to wait around for another ten years before the next spirit boat came.
Short as ten years was to someone at the Domain Lord Realm with a lifespan spanning thousands of years, it was still a painful experience to wait around doing nothing for ten years, even if those ten years were spent in secluded meditation.
"What a pity..." Shaking her head as she thought about this unfortunate little blacksmith who wanted to go to the Southern Central Region to broaden his horizon and strive for a broader world beyond the Western and Northern Central Region, Qing Yi felt a bit bad for the little blacksmith that had missed his opportunity to go to the Southern Central Region.
In the end, before the two of them officially began their journey back towards the sect, the two of them ran into the old blacksmith and his friend still standing around at the mouth of the forest. The sadness radiating from him clear as day for her and Chun Hua, as it was clear he understood the flying spirit boat had already left and he had missed his chance to enter the Southern Central Region.
"Haaa... What to do now? Wait another ten years here or go look for an opportunity to improve my blacksmithing elsewhere?"
"Don’t worry, I’m sure it will be fine no matter what you do, waiting another ten years here isn’t bad. Don’t forget, the Southern Central Region isn’t exactly a safe place to stay."
"Hey!" Listening to the two chatting with each other, Qing Yi decided to call out to the two of them. Instantly causing the two to look up in surprise. Not having expected someone to suddenly appear behind them.
"If you are looking for an opportunity to improve your blacksmithing in the future, I know a place."
"Huh!? Really!?"
"Yes, in the Northern Region, there is a sect called the Star Shattering Sect, you just need to..."
Not seeing any harm in the situation and seeing his clear obsession with Blacksmithing that reminded her of her junior brother, Bai Ning, Qing Yi decided to extend an invitation to this wandering blacksmith to join the sect. Just telling him to mention her name when he got to the sect.
Of course, getting to the sect was not something she was planning to help him with and could be considered a challenge for him to overcome.
Even if the journey was bound to be difficult and long, it was possible for someone in the Domain Lord Realm to travel, though it would indeed be a true test for someone in the Domain Lord Realm to travel such a distance on their own. Leaving the wandering cultivator and his friend behind to ponder over what to do with the offer extended by her, as she had also extended the offer to join the sect to the friend beside the blacksmith, seeing no harm in another Domain Lord Realm joining the sect.
