Chapter 89: 089 | Respect Yourself First
After hearing Sanya’s answer, Reyansh was in a pinch. He couldn’t straightforward refuse her, doing that would feel like he was kicking himself.
She had already earned his respect by sharing her dream, the least he could do was give her the respect she deserves.
’Well, miss manager, what are your thoughts about this? You have to make decisions on my behalf, so make a decision,’ Reyansh asked Lyrielle while appearing thoughtful from outside.
’What a way to push this on me. Well...first off, what benefits she could bring you if you accepts her as a disciple?’ Lyrielle voiced her thoughts, begrudgingly.
’Second, do you really want to take on this role or just play along? Find answer to these two questions and the decision will become easier.’
’Hmm...well thought, miss manager. Thank you for your advice.’
As silence stretched for a few seconds longer, Sanya became nervous and started fidgeting her hands again.
"How about we do this, Miss Sanya?" Reyansh finally broke silence, looking at her, "Let’s meet back in 5 days and I will give answer to your question."
"And you take this time to think, what is it you seek from me, also what can you offer to me in exchange if I take you in as a disciple?"
"I want to clarify already that, I don’t need money or access to your mother. So think of something that can interest me."
"I like your ambition and I would like to help you reach there if I could. So, let’s meet again 5 days later with answers to each others questions." He finished explaining.
"I could work with that," Sanya responded immediately, nodding her head.
Reyansh stood up, Sanya stood after him.
"So, its decided then," Reyansh looked towards Vijay side, only to find him standing alone.
’It looks like he’s done drafting the contract.’
He pulled Sonus Block towards his hands with telekinesis, deactivating it.
"Keep the chairs," Reyansh said as he turned to leave.
"Sir StarWalker," Sanya called out.
Reyansh turned back, looking at her with his brows raised.
"I promised to give you location where you could contract with spirits, let me keep my promise," Sanya insisted.
"We are going to meet soon, tell me about it then. I will be busy these days, so I won’t be able to act even if I know about it." He stated.
"Ohh...okay, thank you for your time and again sorry for my behavior earlier," Sanya spoke.
"It’s okay, you don’t have to apologize too much. If you dream of becoming the guildmaster of most powerful guild, you need to learn to respect yourself first." Reyansh remarked.
"Consider this a free advice before you become my disciple," He added as he walked off.
A smile formed on her face hearing his words. ’I will, Sir StarWalker.’
However, she noticed Agneya, her fire spirit was trying to follow Reyansh from a distance.
’Vayavi, what’s she doing?’ she asked the oldest spirit.
’I think she likes the fire inside him too much,’ she answered, though she looked a bit disturbed, Sanya noticed that and decided to ask about it later.
’That kid is following you, you know,’ Lyrielle remarked as she sat on his shoulder.
’She is trying too,’ Reyansh stated as he stopped, turning towards Agneya.
’Can you ask what she want?’ Reyansh asked.
’You have one thing that she likes, guess what it is?’ Lyrielle answered, dangling her legs as she sat.
Reyansh looked at the tiny spirit, still at a slight distance from him. He couldn’t talk to spirits yet but he could clearly tell from the look on her face and her big eyes, she was pleading to him to see the True Flame.
’Ahh...she is too cute,’ Reyansh exhaled as he raised his index finger, lighting a small flame.
The fire spirit immediately rushed toward the flame. Making happy sounds as she surrounded the flame.
"Agneya," Sanya screamed, walking towards Reyansh.
Reyansh was just happy, genuinely smiling under his mask to see the small spirit cheering happily.
Sanya also didn’t said anything again as she noticed both enjoying the company of each other.
’So, he has this side too,’ she thought.
’Lyri, how does this flame will affect her?’ Reyansh asked.
’Since she is a fire spirit, if you give her even a minute essence of your True Flame, she will grow powerful and felt satisfied. Because elemental spirits only eat their respective element’s essence.’ She explained.
Reyansh nodded and created 4 tiny balls of True Flame, compressed to look like small round beads. Seeing the beads in his palm, the fire spirit moved towards the beads, looked at them, then looked at Reyansh.
He understood her gaze and nodded positively. The moment Reyansh agreed, she cheered happily, lifting one licking it like a candy.
After licking it for once, Agneya stored all the balls in her storage space then bowed her head towards Reyansh, showing her gratitude.
"You are welcome, little one," Reyansh responded as the spirit flew back towards Sanya.
Sanya only watched the whole scene silently as her spirit licked the True Flame candy.
Reyansh walked towards Vijay, standing alone, "Where’s everyone?" he asked.
"I sent them back since they weren’t needed here," Vijay answered as he sent the contract to Reyansh.
Reyansh read the whole contract in about a minute, nodding his head.
"Okay," he signed at the bottom of the contract.
They shook hands, Reyansh took out the dungeon key and handed it over to Vijay.
"If you had seen my stream than makes sure to keep away from the sinkholes."
"I will make sure of that, thank you for your advice." Vijay nodded.
Reyansh turned to leave, "About those corpses?" Vijay called out.
"I will send someone with the corpses in a day." Reyansh answered.
Vijay nodded, however, he didn’t even blink when suddenly Reyansh disappeared from front of his eyes.
"This ability of his is really weird and creepy as hell," Vijay spoke as he turned around and left.
Now only Sanya and her group remained.
"What do you guys think of him?" Sanya asked looking at both of her bodyguards.
"Powerful and alert, the whole time whether he was standing or sitting leisurely, I couldn’t even find an opening in his defense. His perception and control over his body is impeccable." Rekha answered.
"I sense that he is not a simple man, miss Sanya," Devi added, "Are you sure you want to follow him?"
"People like him aren’t that easy to find and talk to, I have to take this chance," Sanya responded.
She looked at Vayavi, who still appeared a bit disturbed.
’What’s your opinion about him, Vayavi?’ She asked.
’He is monstrous, I couldn’t pierce his mask even after many tries. However, I could see and sense his spirit.’ Vayavi answered.
’She was unfathomable, I could only feel the endless abyss when I looked at her.’ She continued.
’She is not even from this dimension, she is probably a high ranking spirit. And for such a spirit for working under such a man is almost impossible if he was just a simple hunter.’
’I didn’t sensed any kind of negative energy from him and he is bonded to such a high rank spirit, so he isn’t something you can look at with common sense.’
’He is an anomaly with potential far surpassing the limits of this dimension, always be careful around him.’ Vayavi warned.
Sanya only nodded in response, agreeing that there’s far more mystery about him than what was visible.
