Chapter 1153: Chapter 603: Extra – No More Love for Him (1-2)
"Yes..."
Chester Robinson waved a hand to signal Alec to leave.
Alec hesitated in place, timidly speaking, "Boss, I’d like to apply to go to Paris... ’Tench’ is determined to sue Edward, but there must be a way to turn things around. I want to go meet Alice Robinson in person."
"No need..."
Chester’s gaze grew deep and distant, his thin lips releasing softly, "I’ll go personally."
"You’ll go personally?"
Alec heard this, and nearly let his glasses slip off his nose. He had never seen the boss personally handle any matter.
On the golf course, three men practicing their skills were particularly dazzling.
They were young, handsome, exuding a noble aura that highlighted their extraordinariness.
While playing, they chatted, ignoring the gazes from women around them.
"It seems you brothers are in a good mood lately to have time to invite me to play golf." Chester hit a shot, and the white ball drew a perfect arc in the air, scoring a hole-in-one.
Howard Geoffrey followed with a shot, also scoring a hole-in-one. He smiled with satisfaction, "Knowing you’re all by your lonesome, we invited you to prevent loneliness."
Skyler Jones’ skills were equally superb, making an even more challenging shot, scoring a beautiful hole-in-one. He commented, "Christine lately, I don’t know if she’s been watching some sad Korean dramas, but whenever she sees me, she wants me to tell her I love her... Who says these words all the time? I had to get some air."
Howard patted Skyler’s shoulder, regretfully saying, "Bro, I think Becca’s watched that Korean drama too."
The two brothers began to consider whether to acquire the company that produced this Korean drama...
Chester continued swinging without joining in their conversation.
During a break, Howard spoke, "You’ve got something on your mind; you’ve lost your swing in two shots today."
Chester rested on a lounge chair, enjoying the sunlight with closed eyes, without speaking.
Skyler, also reclining, replied, "Chester is the best at golf. To lose to us today, he must have something on his mind."
Howard exhaled heavily, "Men only worry about two things: work and women."
Skyler laughed, "’QCS’ dominates the construction industry, so it shouldn’t be work troubling the boss."
Howard replied, "Then it’s got to be women."
Under the sunshine, Chester’s expression remained unchanged. Even Howard and Skyler couldn’t discern his mood.
"Oh, I almost forgot, some magazine caught you cozying up with a starlet recently, even spending the night in her fragrant chambers... Looks like calling you lonely is quite inaccurate." Skyler teased.
Chester remained silent but sat up, checking the wristwatch beside him.
Howard furrowed his brow, "There’s still something up?"
Chester nodded lightly, got up, and moved towards the locker room.
As Howard and Skyler watched Chester, a stunning young woman approached him from the other side of the golf course.
Chester didn’t halt his steps, but when she reached him, he reached out and embraced her.
Their relationship was self-evident.
Howard and Skyler recognized her as the star rumored to be recently linked with the "QCS" president, known for her pure image.
It turned out Chester had brought the star along to play golf today...
After a full day of meetings, Alice Robinson leaned back in her chair, tiredly rubbing her temples.
Andie walked in from outside, "Miss Robinson..."
Alice didn’t open her eyes, leaned back against the chair, pressing her temples, lazily saying, "Not another meeting, is it?"
Andie’s voice was slightly heavy, "No, Miss Robinson."
Alice detected something unusual in Andie’s voice, opened her eyes, and asked, "What is it?"
Andie worriedly stated, "Miss Robinson, just now the secretary of the ’QCS’ president called me. She said their president wants to meet with you."
Alice’s movement of massaging her temples suddenly paused, her body slightly tense.
Concerned, Andie said, "Miss Robinson, Mr. Robinson isn’t coming here to settle scores with us, right?"
Morning.
Sunshine streamed into the room.
A person on the bed murmured, turned over, gradually opening her drowsy eyes.
The faint scent of grass from the garden wafted through the window into the room, the air feeling so fresh.
Wearing a white camisole nightgown, Alice got up, looked at the sunlight outside, and stretched comfortably.
Suddenly realizing something, she immediately picked up the alarm clock on the bedside table, jumped with a start, and hurriedly got out of bed.
Still familiarizing herself, she didn’t have time to change out of her nightwear; she hurriedly rushed out of the room and went downstairs.
Rachel had already had breakfast, and Aunt PA was just helping her with her backpack.
"Sweetie..."
Alice called out, and Rachel turned, smiling, "Mommy..."
Alice rushed to her daughter’s side, sheepishly saying, "Sorry, sweetie, wait for mommy a bit while I change, and I’ll take you to kindergarten..."
Rachel shook her head, reached out to hug Alice, "No need, mommy. I asked Grandma PA to change your alarm. I know you work so hard every day, and I wanted you to sleep a bit more."
Alice sincerely replied, "No, I promised I’d personally take you to kindergarten today..."
"But I want mommy to sleep a little more. Mommy works so hard every day."
The child’s words warmed Alice’s heart.
Alice hugged Rachel tightly, softly saying, "Mommy promises when the company goes public, I’ll definitely make more time to be with you."
Rachel nodded happily, giving Alice a kiss on the cheek.
Alice also kissed Rachel lovingly, "What mommy promises, I’ll make sure to do."
Rachel waved to Alice, "Mommy, go get some sleep... I’m off to kindergarten."
