Chapter 330: The Dark Dream
After a bit of time, their girls just decided fuck it and stripped.
"Really? Ladies. You’re not allowed..." Dean started.
"Yes we are allowed to in the private pool. So just close your mouth and make sure we don’t drown," Lyssa called up while chasing Tia with a pool noodle in an attempt to hit her.
"You’re enjoying this..." Dean muttered to himself. He had to watch, it was his job. And although the bodies of these teenage girls were well developed, Dean didn’t get any bad ideas about them. The simple fact that there was an age difference between them was enough to clear his mind of any perverted thoughts.
"It’s just being free and natural. Nothing sexual about it," Dean told himself quietly, even when the girls decided to jump on each other and wrestle in the water.
"And seriously, what’s with the weather?" Dean finally noticed the change in the weather after about an hour of life guarding. The sky had gotten dark with heavy, black clouds having rolled in. The lights in the pool area came on once it hit a certain level of light, causing the girls to notice the change in weather as well.
Lyssa swam over to the side of the pool and lifted herself out of the water, resting her breasts and arms on the slight abrasive stone bricks that lined the pool.
"Are you mad that we made you do this?" She asked, with a strange smile on her face.
"Not at all. Much more comfortable here than around the open pool. For that, I must thank you," Dean said, losing the official employee tone he had used up until now.
"Do you really not remember anything about your past?" Lyssa asked.
"I already told you earlier, didn’t I?" Dean responded, wondering why she was bringing this up again. Sure, they had spoken in the morning after she tracked Dean down, but he had said everything he had wanted to say then and figured she understood. But now...
"Then do you normally sleep walk into a girls room through a locked door...?"
"Hey now..."
"What? It’s a legit question. "
"No. No I do not."
"Then why me I wonder?"
"I have no clue."
Lyssa didn’t say anything back. She just frowned while thinking to herself.
Dean didn’t say anything more. Instead, he started feeling something weird. A discomfort. There was something that felt wrong but he couldn’t put it into words. Looking around, he noticed the darkening sky, but since they were inside, he didn’t really care too much.
Until the thunder hit.
And the lights flashed.
’Well, it was about time anyway,’ Dean thought to himself as he grabbed his stuff.
"Time to go ladies!" Dean called out, for which he got several boos from the girls.
"Hey, don’t look at me like that. It’s been four hours and besides which, it looks like we might be in for one hell of a storm." Just as Dean said that, he pointed up towards the glass dome of the pool. When he did that, it suddenly started pouring a heavy rain with several flashes of lightning.
The thunder then sounded like it was shaking the whole building. The girls quickly got out of the pool and decided that Dean was right. They made their way over to the dressing room after covering their mostly exposed bodies with towels while Dean walked towards the door. Since he hadn’t been in the pool, he didn’t bother needing to change. Instead, he just went into his bag and pulled out a poncho that he kept just for times like this and flipped it over his head, the sticky plastic coating his skin.
The girls came out shortly, having changed in record time. Another flash of lightning along with the following rumble of thunder and the lights flashed again.
"EEKKKK"
"Did you just eeekkk?" Dean asked Rain who looked the most disturbed.
"Anyway. We have to run in this?" Lyssa asked, looking at the down pour outside.
"It’s alright," Dean said and went over to a desk. Reaching behind it, he grabbed four club star umbrellas and handed them to each of the girls.
"These kinds of things sometimes happens so we like to be prepared," Dean commented and opened the door, holding it in place for the girls.
They each came close to the door, opened their umbrellas and walked outside, followed by Dean. The door closed behind them and locked into place.
"I hope you all had a wonderful time and thank you for using one of our private pools. Please be safe on your way back," Dean gave the speech before waving the girls goodbye. Just as Lyssa was walking by him though, she brought her hand up and touched his cheek for some reason. She quickly brought her hand down and ran away to catch up to the other three who were already running for their building. Dean didn’t look back at her, but if he did, he would have noticed the a strange shimmering from on top her head.
Dean felt something from that touch though, like a shock to rival getting hit by lightning. But it wasn’t one of attraction. Instead, it felt like that simple gesture from Lyssa made something trigger.
He tried to look deeper, but he had no idea what it was. His body, as far as he could tell, felt the same.
Looking up into the dark and dangerous sky, Dean sighed before starting the walk back to the dorm. He didn’t even feel like eating tonight.
...
When Dean walked in, he noticed the lights were off. That mixed with the lack of noise from Mike’s room and Dean knew he already went out for the evening for whatever reason. Dean just took off his poncho, got a bathrobe and went to take a shower. Even if he spent all day around water, he never had to go in. This made the shower feel that much more refreshing.
Laying down, Dean heard the thunder rumble again just before his one light went off.
"Guess that’s it..." While the other buildings had back up generators, the dorms did not. Normally, if the night was hot, Dean would sleep out on one of the couches. But while it was somewhat hot out, Dean felt rather chilled and laid down on his own bed.
He fell asleep shortly after.
That was when the dream started.
Dean was looking down at some small creature who had just been born. But unlike his brothers and sisters, he didn’t make a noise. Instead, his tiny head looked around and took in all the sights around him. He then saw a larger version of himself looking at him with what he could only describe as love in it’s eyes.
He recognized this creature as his mother.
Time passed and while him and his siblings were getting bigger, he noticed a distinct difference between him and them. While he was quiet and always looking around at things, learning about the world he was living in, his siblings would only play and fight with each other most of the time. Or follow around their mother. He was usually off by himself though, trying to learn about everything he could.
One day, he discovered that he could do something amazing. His tiny paws could emit a light that would allow him to break whatever he touched. He felt like it was an amazing thing and when he tried to show his mother, he realized that she couldn’t understand him. She didn’t even know what he was trying to communicate. But since this was something unique to him, he didn’t let it bother him that his mom and siblings didn’t understand.
It wasn’t until the day that a pack of bobcats wandered around the area and discovered the creatures that the young raccoon was able to show his ability.
The mother, frightened by the invaders, tried to herd her kids into their den while not letting the bobcats get around them. This included the small, yet special raccoon. The only difference was that he wasn’t afraid of these predators. Instead of hiding in the den with the others, he stayed outside as his mother hiss at the growling animals. Since he hadn’t gotten into the den, his mother had no more time to try to protect him. Two of the bobcats lunged for her as she tried biting and clawing them. But they were much bigger than her and outnumbered her. Just when she got those to to back off, another one snuck up behind her and tried biting her back.
But the special raccoon was there. With a speed and strength that his tiny self shouldn’t have possessed, he used his small arms and clawed toes to catch the attacker and send him flying towards another one. He then jumped at one of the original two and in a human like manner, swung his tiny clawed and glowing hand right into the head of the leading bobcat.
The bobcats head exploded from the impact, raining blood, fur and skull onto his tiny furry body.
When the rest of the bobcats saw this, they all whined loudly and started to run. The tiny raccoon didn’t give chase. Instead, he turned to look at his mother with a human like smile, only to see her face covered in fear as she backed away, her fur standing on end.
The tiny raccoon tried to approach her, but she actually hiss back at him.
’Mom?’ Although the small raccoon knew he was different, he always loved his mother, even if she didn’t understand him. But not, this same mother who always looked at him with gentle eyes was looking at him like a monster.
The small raccoon felt heartbroken and alone. Knowing that he would never be allowed back in the den with the others, the small raccoon took one final look at his mom and started to walk away.
After that, everything that Dean experienced through the vision of the small raccoon seemed to fly by. It grew bigger and bigger. It started interacting and fighting with other animals. Most of them weren’t his match, but there were a few times when it came upon others like himself. Stronger, smarter and faster than it’s brethren, the little raccoon would fight them all.
And he won no matter how much blood he bled.
For the victor, the reward was a small red stone that usually grew in the heads of these strange beasts. The little raccoon didn’t know how he knew this, but he did.
And consuming one would cause his powers to grow stronger and stronger. Soon, some of these beasts that were too weak for the raccoon to even bother killing started following him. They would get his scraps after he fought, but when fighting other strong packs, they would get whatever they killed themselves. They would fight the weak ones, he would fight the strong ones.
And they always listened to whatever orders he gave them, a special link that was established between them thanks to their special nature.
The creature once came upon some weird hairless creatures trespassing in his area of the forest. Taking his ’pack’ with him, they hunted down these two legged creatures and devoured their bodies, discovering a wonderful surprise. While they had always hunted strong creatures to get their stones, these hairless, two legged creatures all had some energy within there bodies. While it wasn’t as concentrated, there was far more over all thanks to the size of these animals.
This was what caused the raccoon to begin hunting more of these strange beasts. Not only that, but the little raccoon was able to use his powers and persuasion to get other strong beasts to follow his lead., as long as he lead them to more of the magical creatures.
With this, his pack grew stronger and stronger by the day. And anyone who didn’t follow him would just end up becoming food for him and his pack.
They travelled all over, finding more and more packs of these creatures to eat to sate their growing hunger. Until one day when they came upon a large body of water. Across from this body of water, the no longer little raccoon noticed a huge number of these creatures, gathered in one place without a care in the world.
The little raccoon couldn’t help but lick his lips in delight. His pack did the same.
Soon, they would all have far more than they would ever desire.
At this, Dean woke up, his body covered in sweat.
’What in the actual fuck was that?
