Chapter 329: The Signs

The door opened slowly as the small framed killer walked over the dead body and join the other three. None of them spoke but they began walking in no particular hurry, travelling deeper into the panic room. At a small safe set underneath a table, one of the masked figures quickly bent down, touching the door of the same with one hand while spinning the wheel with the other. In just a few quick movements, the door swung open and all of the cash that was sitting inside was taken away, including the gemstones and several gold bars.

As the four figures exited the safe room, two objects were thrown inside before they closed the door. Although muffled, an explosion rocked the estate as they made their way back upstairs and headed for the door.

It didn’t take long for them to reach their truck which was parked down the drive and off the road.

As they started changing clothes, a buzz suddenly grabbed their attention as one of the figures grabbed it and pulled up the message. After seeing who it was from, the now revealed woman quickly clicked the link and almost dropped the phone while watching the video.

The other three women, seeing the forth act this way, moved to get a view of it as well. None of them spoke as they watched from beginning to end and then replay it, all thoughts of a quick escape having left their minds.

"He’s alive."

"He is."

"Something is wrong."

"The link was broken. It’s still broken."

"That must be him."

"It is."

"Then why?"

"Maybe... He’s broken?"

"What did it say."

"Find him."

"Location?"

"Unknown. Hidden. Somewhere in Texas, best guess."

"Send back. We will find him."

"If it’s really not him?"

"Then we will kill him."

All four nodded and said together,

"Only he can wear that face."

...

Dean felt a chill, like he had been locked onto by some strange and dangerous animal. Looking around the pool, he had no idea where the chill was coming from considering how hot it was today, but he felt the chill never the less.

Dean had taken over lifeguard duties today as one of the normal lifeguards was sick. Due to his normal routine, Dean didn’t have anything else to do during the day so he had no problem picking up an extra shift. All of the money he got was actually sitting in a box under his bed in his room. He didn’t trust banks worth shit and always felt better to have some cash on hand. As such, even though he had a bank account, he only kept enough money in it to pay the few bills he had while rent was deducted from his paycheck even before he got it.

Living on the grounds of the club wasn’t cheap, but it wasn’t too expensive either. Compared to some of the city apartments he had seen, living in the same place he worked was actually preferable, something that they made happen. Having a live in staff made things much easier, even if it cost the club some money in the long run.

Dean also figured it was a good way to get some sun while avoiding the things he wanted to avoid, like Lyssa and the girls. Not that they had any problems with him or him with them, but Dean still felt a bit awkward around Lyssa.

This was also nice because he was asked again and again for pictures after the videos of him singing and playing with the members of Cherry Bomb went viral. Apparently, much to the pleasure of their record label, the girls showing they had talent in this amateur type of setting did a lot more to attract fans than any number of edited videos or meet and greets. So even though the girls were on vacation, their second album was blowing up even more than before and the talks about a tour vs writing a third album was the current fight their manager was having with the executives.

Since they were asking for pictures, Dean had to be available, or so he was told, to take them whenever. Being behind a bar would make the a bit difficult, so while he had agreed to take this lifeguard gig, it was also true that it had been suggested to him that he take it for a few days until the requests for pictures drop off.

Luckily, for insurance purposes, he wasn’t the only one on duty as a girl named Jenny was seated on the seat on the other side from him. That way, even if he was being dragged down to take a picture ever 5 minutes the huge pool was being properly watched.

Dean actually kind of like Jenny. She was a kind and sweet girl who enjoyed working out and had the body to prove it. This was very much the truth for most of the lifeguards, but still Jenny stood out as being extra fit.

They had known each other from Dean’s previous lifeguard training and even enjoyed a drink or two together at the bar. It never went anywhere other than that, but it was still fun for Dean. When they worked together, they would make funny faces at each other or try miming things to see if the other could figure it out. They were both still diligent while working and never let it interfere with their jobs, but it did help pass the time.

"Hey Dean!"

A supervisor from the club called up to Dean while he was focusing on the water. Dean looked down and gave him a nod, then looked back up and waved over to Jenny, letting her know that he was going to be distracted. She waved back and he got off the lifeguard seat to hear what the supervisor had to say.

"Hey. We need you to lifeguard the private pool for a bit," the supervisor said. Dean looked at him questionably wondering why he was chosen. But the supervisor didn’t respond back and instead just gave him the key card for the private pool and waved over the other lifeguard who had come out with him. He ascended the ladder and took his position on the chair, throwing down Dean’s pack to him so that he could bring it with him.

While Dean thought the request was weird since the other lifeguard the supervisor brought could have done it, he didn’t question it and instead brought his bag with him. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

The private pool was located inside a huge glass covered room and while the sun light could get in, anyone without a key card wouldn’t be able to see inside or get inside either. It was actually a separate building all by itself. Just as Dean swiped the keycard, he got a strange feeling and couldn’t help but look over at the lake in the distance. His gaze shot out over the water at the far side of the lake where he could only barely see the bank on the other side. He had found out in the past that his eyesight was especially good since no one else he knew could see that far.

While he looked over, he thought he saw a strange figure on the other bank, but when he blinked and looked again, the figure was gone.

Dean couldn’t help but wonder if he was just seeing things as he shook his head and walked inside.

Since it was still mid day, there was no lights needed as the sun was the best source of light one could ask for. Dean quickly made use of the bathroom before climbing up the ladder the get into position. Although he was no longer outside, the sun coming in through the windows kept the place pretty warm so Dean was still just in his red swim trunks, choosing the loose fit to try to ensure nothing was showing like it would in a speedo.

He just sat there and waiting, munching on a protein bar as he knew the people wanting to use the private pool would arrive soon. Since his shift was 8 hours and 4 hours had already gone by, that meant that this assignment would only be 4 hours at most, not that he had other plans.

Pretty soon, the entrance doors opened as people walked into the private pool. Dean’s excellent hearing allowed him to hear some very faint discussion about how one person was telling others that she would be back for them in a few hours before that person then seemed to exit the area. The people she left behind then made for the locker room without coming into the main building, so Dean got down off the chair and waited. He was too far away to know which locker room they went into, so instead he just waited by the main entrance to therefore greet the guests as they exited the locker room.

After a full ten minutes, the door to the girls locker room opened and when Dean saw who walked out, he was almost floored.

It was Lyssa, Tia, Mila, and Rain.

And they were all dressed in some of the skimpiest swimsuits that Dean had ever seen. While Rain, Mila and Tia all looked great, Dean had trouble focusing on anyone else but Lyssa. While he had already seen the other girls in much less, Dean had to admit that there was something even more sexy about when a girl was wearing little as opposed to being completely naked.

Even though Dean hadn’t seen Lyssa naked, he had seen her almost completely there. But that was a different circumstance and he didn’t really have the time to enjoy it. With the one piece she was wearing, with straps that came over her shoulders and down in front of her now rather large breasts before forming a V at her most sensitive place, Dean couldn’t help but gawk at her for a moment before regaining his composure. He also admired the two pieces the other girls were wearing until he notice that Rain and Mila’s were both kind of see through while Tia’s large breasts were actually just contained within a fishnet top that did little to stop her tiny nipples from poking out.

Dean had to turn his head away quickly so that he didn’t end up having a reaction, but he couldn’t help but wonder why he had been chosen to be their private lifeguard after everything that happened. Especially Lyssa. Her opinion of him might have improved slightly after she had come to see him, but he didn’t think that she suddenly liked him.

"Welcome guests to the private pool. My name is Dean and I will be your lifeguard for today. I will be up on the tower if you need anything and drinks and refreshments are available in the vending machines located by the entrance. There are plenty of towels and robes over near my tower if you find yourself in need of extras. Please enjoy your time here." Dean rattled off his greeting and the information he needed to convey before making his way back to the tower.

"See? I told you this would be fun," Tia said, giggling.

"I can’t believe you talked me into buying this..." Lyssa complained to Mila.

"It looks good on you. Besides, I didn’t think you would actually buy it and wear it now that you look so hot..."

"Enough talk. Let’s swim. We have our sexy big brother watching over us so we should enjoy our time. I wonder if I con pretend to drown and see if he will give me mouth to mouth?" Rain asked, laughing.

"Why don’t you just demand a kiss as a special service?" Tia joked while Lyssa again adjusted the tiny straps that were concealing her nipples.

"Did you use that tape I gave you?" Mila asked her, seeing her playing with them again.

"Yes, but these things are perky and the sensation is killing me..." Lyssa complained back.

"I think you’re just getting turned on," Rain said before pushing the girls towards the edge of the pool.

"Hey lifeguard. If for some reason you just see me floating, assume I am drowning and give me CPR with a little tongue, ok?" Rain said before jumping into the water. Once she came up, her white swimsuit that was pretty much see through, almost became non-existent, causing her brown nipples to become completely visible.

"Let’s go," Tia also said, jumping into the warm water, her rather unrestrained breasts causing her to make an even bigger splash then she anticipated.

Mila then grinned and jumped in as well, blowing a kiss to Dean while she did so. While the thong barely hid anything anyway, the wrap around top that she was wearing didn’t end up staying in place and was quickly drifting on the surface long before she came back up for air. Seeing it float there, she turned a little red wondering what Dean had seen? After thinking it over, she just threw it on the side of the pool and continued to swim around in only her thong.

Lyssa was the last one to get in. Considering the problems she was already having with the revealing suit, she choose to get in slow to avoid exposing any more than necessary to Dean.

Whether it was a lucky coincidence or not, since Dean had to keep an eye on these four girls, he couldn’t help but stare at them as their entering the pool resulted in them fighting several bouts of being exposed.

It left little to the imagination.

Having totally forgotten about the strange presence he thought he had seen coming in, Dean couldn’t help but smack his forehead as he wondered what he had gotten himself into?

Dean also failed to notice that the clear sky was starting to gain quite a bit more cloud cover... as though a storm was coming their way.
