Chapter 137: My Girl

Just when I thought that Night will finally arrive, days passed by in a flash and I was still stuck in this room with Aziel.

"I want to go home."

"Don’t you want to spend more time with me?" Aziel asked as he entered the room. "Come on, let’s go swimming." He said while showing me tons of swimsuits he brought inside the room. "You can pick any of these. We have the whole island to ourselves after all."

I ignored him as I lay back on the bed and covered myself with the blanket. ’It’s better for me to stay here than— wait...’ Why am I rejecting his suggestion!? If I get a grasp of this place, then I might get a chance to escape.

"Okay," I said as I got up. "I’ll go."

Aziel’s smile widened as he showed me all the swimsuits he has brought. "Choose here, or if you want I can make my subordinates buy a new one." I shook my head as I picked the most normal one and went to the bathroom.

I need to come up with a plan. I’ve been staying here too long and I still haven’t gained anything.

After changing into the simple swimsuit of my choice, it was a white bikini, Aziel held my hand and we went out of the room. Even though I keep pulling my hand back, Aziel won’t let me go.

"We’re actually on the third floor of this mansion so the walk will be quite far to the beach." He said as he put a towel all over me. "You should keep this first since there are guards everywhere." He said, emphasizing the word ’guards’.

’Is he telling me that I won’t be able to escape because lots of eyes are watching me?’

When we got out of the mansion, I immediately shielded my face with my hand due to the brightness of the sun. ’How long has it been since I last got under the sun?’

I squinted as I followed Aziel to the beach. He’s smiling from ear to ear, and that’s when I noticed that there are no other people here just like he said. There are no other people, but there are lots of animals here!

"Meet my golden retriever, his name is Gigi." He said as he introduced to me that huge dog beside him. "Gigi, this is Noelle, your mom—" I immediately kicked Aziel’s face before he could even say something disgusting.

"Shut up."

Aziel laughed while petting his dog. "Do you like dogs?"

"I don’t like you."

He laughed again. "Am I a dog in your eyes?"

I ignored him as I walked on the sand and as I walked closer to the sea, I could hear the sounds of the waves splashing and it gave me peace of mind. ’I know I shouldn’t be relaxed right now. I still don’t know where this place is.’

"Isn’t this place amazing? Even more amazing because you can spend your time here with me." I felt Aziel’s arm around my shoulder making my forehead crease. "Don’t you want to date a good-looking guy like me? Because if you do, this is your—" I pushed him away from me as I ran towards the sea.

"Hey! That’s dangerous!"

As soon as I felt the waves splashing on my knees my eyes sparkled and saw the vast sea. "So pretty," I said aloud but then I felt something pushing me down from behind causing my face to fall to the water and I thought I was going to drown.

"Gigi! Why did you?"

I felt someone’s arm pulling me up from the water holding onto my waist, and the moment I got out of the water, I started coughing as I had a hard time opening my eyes due to the seawater.

"Are you okay?"

When I saw Aziel’s face, I blinked a lot of times as he twinkled under the bright light of the sun above. "Ellie?" His arm was still wrapped around my face, and his touch felt familiar.

Where did I feel like this again? I need to think... think...?

"Was it you?"

Confusion clearly showed on his face. "What do you mean?" He was leaning forward to my face making me remember the scent I smelled that day.

"The one who danced with me on stage that time during the school festival’s pageant."

I felt how his arm flinched so I immediately moved away from him. "So that was you," I said but then I got splashed by a huge wave again causing Aziel to hold onto my arms, stopping me from falling back into the water. "Why did you do it?" That makes me realize that he lied about going to Italy.

All he told me were lies.

"Were you lying to me when you said that you’re going back to Italy? Was Marielle being your sister a part of your lies? No... what’s not a lie with everything that you told me?"

Aziel couldn’t answer.

His silence was his answer. ’I guess, everything was a lie.’ I pulled my arm away from him as I walked back to the beach. It’ll be hard to enjoy myself in the sea since I’m not used to swimming in the waves. Learning about that mysterious man like this makes my mood sour.

"Liar," I muttered as I sat on the sand, and Gigi, Aziel’s dog sat beside me. "What do you want?" It feels like I’m going crazy since I’m starting to talk to dogs now.

"I’m sorry for what Gigi did," Aziel said. "He’s really playful when it comes to people he likes."

I ignored what Aziel said as I stared at the horizon. I wondered where this place is, and if it was far from the Philippines. ’Is Night still searching for me? It’s been weeks and I don’t think it’ll still be worth it for them.’ I sighed.

"I want to go home."

"The solution’s easy. You should give me the ring." I saw Aziel’s smile. "And Night must give back the handkerchief I own."

Then there are two things I need to do? "I don’t have the ring with me."

"Then, I should tell Night to bring the ring with him." He chuckled as if he knows that I’m lying.

I rolled my eyes as I lay on the sand and stared at the sky. It’s clear and there are a few clouds, I wonder what this place will look like if it starts raining. This island looks similar to the islands in Palawan, but also kind of different which I can’t even explain.

"What do you want to eat for lunch?"

I continued ignoring Aziel as I slowly fall asleep. It feels like it’s been so long since I bathed in the sun and I don’t know when I’ll be able to leave here.

When I woke up, I felt something licking my face causing me to open my eyes. "Ugh, stop licking me," I said as I gently pushed Gigi’s face away. That’s when I realized that I’m already lying on a mat and there was a parasol above me.

’Did Aziel do this?’

I got up and saw how bright the sun had become. Maybe it’s already nearing 12 noon, that’s why Aziel placed a parasol above me.

"You’ve woken up." He greeted me with a smile while holding a basket. "What do you want to eat? I prepared our meals here. Since it’s a lot hotter today, I prepared a fruit punch. Do you want to try it?"

Instead of getting ideas on how to escape from this place, it feels like I’m on a vacation with this guy, and it’s annoying me.

"I’ll try it," I said making him smile wider. "You didn’t put any drugs in that, didn’t you?"

"Wha— that’s so mean! I wouldn’t do something like drugged you."

I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? You already did that didn’t you? With the smoke and the handkerchief, you used on me the first time."

"Wait! Those aren’t drugs."

I shook my head. Even if he starts explaining what all those things are, I won’t believe him. When we started eating, I heard Aziel’s phone ringing, and his expression changed when he looked at the caller. His smile turned wide and he looks like he was having fun.

Aziel answered the phone call and put it on loudspeaker. "Hey there." He said.

"Give Noelle back."

The moment I heard Night’s voice, I felt relieved. It’s as if something that was bugging me all this time vanished all of a sudden. "Night," I called for his name.

"Noelle? Is that you? Are you alright? Did he do something bad to you?"

Aziel snapped his finger, making one of his bodyguards cover my mouth. "Hmmph!" I couldn’t answer Night’s question making Aziel laugh.

"Of course she’s okay, she’s my girl."

My eyes widened after hearing that. ’Who is he calling his girl!?’

"Stop joking around, Aziel." I heard Night’s stern voice causing me to feel shivers down my spine. "If you’re angry about what happened to your mother—"

"It’s not about that, Night. I’m not angry at you. How could I be angry with someone who helped me learn a lot?"

Aziel was smiling from ear to ear. ’It’s weird...’
