Chapter 403: Chapter 402: Assigning Opponents!

"You..." Hearing Xue Ling’s words, Chen Hutian’s expression darkened, and the aura around him turned cold.

"If that’s how it’s going to be, then don’t blame me for what comes next!" Seeing that Xue Ling made no move to stop the six elders, Chen Hutian snorted coldly and charged toward her.

’Chen Hutian could see that Xue Ling and Shen Haoran had a transactional relationship. It seemed she was only responsible for pinning him down; the rest wasn’t her problem. This was perfect. Even if his own hands were tied, how could a mere Tier Five Spirit Marquis escape the grasp of six Spirit Aspect Tier elders? They would capture him with ease!’

At this thought, a cold smile touched the corners of Chen Hutian’s lips. His figure flashed as he shot straight into the sky. Xue Ling gave his retreating figure a detached glance and followed suit...

Meanwhile, Shen Haoran had already led the six elders deep into the Hehuan Sect. Several figures flashed between the sect’s buildings, finally coming to a stop in a grove of trees.

’Shen Haoran had his reasons for luring the six elders deep into the Hehuan Sect. All six were Spirit Aspect Tier powerhouses. If even one of them had appeared while his twenty recruits were dealing with the disciples outside, that single elder could have wiped out all twenty of his men. After all, those Martial Artists were just ordinary Spirit Marquises. While they might be able to take on two opponents at their own level, they were completely powerless against a Spirit Aspect Powerhouse.’

"What’s wrong, you brat? Not running anymore? Go on, run!" Catching up to Shen Haoran, Elder Qian stared at him, his eyes filled with venomous hatred. ’Today was supposed to be my big day. Once I absorbed the girl with the Nine Yin Destiny, becoming a Spirit Emperor Powerhouse would have been within my grasp. But this damned brat had to ruin my wedding and shatter my dream. Now that he’s in my hands, I’ll show him no mercy!’

"Run? Why should I run?" Hearing Elder Qian’s words, Shen Haoran shrugged and asked quizzically.

"Hmph. Putting on a brave face. We’ll see if you’re still smiling when you’re locked up in the Hehuan Sect’s dungeons!" Elder Qian snorted, then waved his hand and commanded, "Seize him!"

The moment Elder Qian’s voice fell, the five elders behind him burst into action, charging toward Shen Haoran and completely cutting off any path of retreat.

However, Shen Haoran’s expression remained unchanged as he watched the five elders charge. Just as they closed in, a world-shaking roar suddenly echoed. A violent aura erupted from behind him, and a visible shockwave instantly blasted outward, forcing the five elders to retreat...

"What is that monster..." The Hehuan Sect elders stared at the behemoth behind Shen Haoran and couldn’t help but gulp.

At that moment, behind Shen Haoran, a pitch-black behemoth stood, its eyes glaring. Its crimson pupils glowed like twin lanterns. An aura of Primordial Chaos emanated from the creature, along with a faint, yet distinct, Devouring Power. Tiny Spiritual Power Vortexes swirled before it, creating an exceptionally bizarre sight.

’This was Changmao, revealed in his true form. There were many opponents this time. After absorbing the crimson energy with me in the Divine Martial Blood Pool, Changmao’s strength had broken through to the Spirit Aspect Tier. As the leader of the Ancient Ten Fierce Beasts, even having just reached the Spirit Aspect Tier, his combat strength far surpassed that of an ordinary human Spirit Aspect Powerhouse. Changmao was the most critical part of this plan.’

"Brother Shen!"

"Brother Haoran!"

"Little Brother Haoran! We’re here!"

Just as Changmao appeared, several shouts echoed from the distance. Three figures came rushing over—it was Murong Wanqing, Han Xu, and Luo Xiaowen.

"How are things?" Shen Haoran asked softly as the three arrived.

"The twenty fighters out front have already begun the massacre. Thanks to the Transformation Pills, the Hehuan Sect disciples’ strength is greatly diminished; they’re no match for our twenty. The Sect Leader is being tied down by Xue Ling. As long as we deal with these six, the Hehuan Sect is finished!" Luo Xiaowen quickly and clearly summarized the situation at the main hall.

Luo Xiaowen didn’t bother to lower her voice, so the six Hehuan Sect elders heard every word loud and clear. Their expressions instantly darkened. ’So Shen Haoran wasn’t fleeing at all; he was using a ploy to lure the tiger from its mountain! The six of us represent the Hehuan Sect’s remaining fighting force, and he had effortlessly led us right into a trap!’

"You five take these people down. I’m going to the main hall to deal with the rest of the small fry!" Elder Qian said to his companions, giving Shen Haoran’s group a cold glare.

"Don’t worry, Grand Elder. Leave this to us. They’re just a few Spirit Marquises," the Second Elder said grimly, a powerful aura erupting from his body.

As the Second Elder’s power flared, the other four elders unleashed their own in succession. The combined might of five Spirit Aspect Powerhouses erupted at once, and the very air seemed to tremble.

And yet, faced with the five elders’ overwhelming auras, Shen Haoran and his two companions showed no change in expression.

"Changmao, you take the three Tier One Spirit Aspects. Got it?" Shen Haoran said, turning to the beast behind him.

"What, three?! I’m only a Tier One Spirit Aspect myself! How can you just give me three of them..." Changmao complained, his face a mask of misery.

"Cut the crap. Finish this mission, and I’ll owe you one," Shen Haoran said quickly.

"For real? No problem!" Hearing Shen Haoran’s offer, Changmao’s face lit up, all traces of his earlier gloom vanishing. It seemed the creature had just been waiting for those exact words.

"Wanqing, Brother Han, can the two of you hold off one of the Tier Three Spirit Aspects?" Shen Haoran asked next.

"It’ll be difficult, but we’ll give it our all," Murong Wanqing replied, nodding grimly.

"Good. Sister Xiaowen, that leaves two. We’ll each take one. Let’s end this quickly." Shen Haoran gave the six elders a faint smile. A pitch-black flame then erupted over his body, quickly enveloping him. ’A Tier Three Spirit Aspect was still something he had to take seriously.’

Watching three Spirit Marquis Tier Martial Artists brazenly divvy them up—six Spirit Aspect Powerhouses—as if they were choosing training partners, the Hehuan Sect elders felt utterly humiliated. A boundless rage filled their chests.

"I’m leaving them to you!" Elder Qian shot the three of them a cold glare, then turned to rush back toward the main hall.

However, Shen Haoran had no intention of giving him that chance. In a flash, he appeared directly in Elder Qian’s path...
