"Hmmm?" A pair of starry eyes opened slowly as the dean of Aeternum stirred.

"Old man. Something happened?" Valen’s voice echoed through the starry like space as his eyes opened as well.

After more than three days of torture, he had finally expelled the influence of the thing wrecking havoc in his body.

He had taken advantage of the situation and decided to meditate in silence within the Aeternum spire, but now, feeling the old man stir, his tranquil state was broken.

"Is something ha...."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

A terrible quake shook the spire violently.

"What was that?" Valen’s face turned grim instantly.

"It’s coming from the south." The dean replied.

"The south? What’s happening there?"

"This!.." the dean suddenly exclaimed in surprise.

"Old man. What happened? What’s going on?" Feeling the trembling of the earth intensifying, valen was no longer sitting.

"Dante.... He seems to be fighting someone.."

"Dante? Who could he possibly be facing for the effects of the battle to reach all the way here?"

"I don’t know. But, terra, she’s having a hard time containing the damage."

At those words, valen’s face darkened even further.

For the planet herself to be having trouble containing the effects of the clash....

"Who... who is he facing?"

The dean closed his eyes, his perception spreading through the planet as his expression grew taut.

"Old man. Who is Dante facing?" Valen inquired again.

A beat of silence passed, before..

"Remnants of the Festival Of Blood." The dean replied solemnly.

"What? How?"

"Clarissa."

A one word reply. But it seemed to have answered the million questions valen had.

"Haa... what is that crazy woman up to now?" He sighed.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!

"I do not know. But, terra...." The dean didn’t complete his words.

There was no need.

"Haa... alright then. Clarissa, just what are you playing at?"

"Mommy!! What’s happening!" A child screamed as she and her mother ran for dear life.

The entire city had suddenly started shaking, with buildings collapsing left and right.

"I don’t know, lia. Just don’t let go of mommy’s...."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

Another thunderous explosion shook the entire city as the sky visibly cracked open.

The entire city collapsing within moments...

"Nooooo!!!!!" A heart wrenching scream of agony tore through the air as the woman found herself falling into a bottomless chasm.

"Mommy!!!!!!!" The child wasn’t spared either.

Within seconds, the city was reduced to a massive rubble of nothingness as few lives successfully escaped the carnage.

...

"City lord! The entire continent is fracturing! We need to leave. Now!" An urgent voice sounded out as soldiers burst through the doors to the city lord’s office of a supreme city within the southern continent.

"It’s already too late..." the city lord, a man with black hair that had began to whiten at the edges spoke up with a calm voice.

"My lord! We mustn’t give up. There’s still..."

"Look up." The man’s calm voice shut them up as their gazes turned upwards.

"Mother above..." the faces of all the soldiers paled as they saw just what appeared above the entire city.

A wide crack in space had torn itself open right above the city.

The size of which was enough to cover the supreme city twice over.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

Another deafening explosion thundered through the world as the fractured sky collapsed onto the city.

Erasing everything without so much as another scream escaping the people.

Feline imperial city...

"Activate the city protection arrays!!!" An urgent order went out from the mouth of a woman adorned in a golden gown, a bejeweled crown of studded diamonds sitting regally on her head of white hair.

"Your majesty! The damage.. it’s not just here. The entire continent is falling apart! What do we do?" A man clad in pristine silver armor asked, his expression grim.

"What do we do? We clasp our hands and pray we get through this unscathed. That the monsters currently clashing finish before there’s nothing left of the southern continent to call home." The woman replied. A resigned expression appearing on her face as she turned towards the center of the southern continent where the skies had stopped being skies.

The earth had forgotten what it was supposed to look like.

And all that be remained to be seen from all corners, was nothing but the clashing figures of what many had already begun to liken to gods.

"Terra help us all..."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

The sky ruptured as I clashed with the plummeting figures of the five humanoid leeches that had suddenly gone off the rails.

"YOU.... INSUFFERABLE. ARROGANT. WORM!!!!"

BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!

My fist collided with a vicious claw strike that shattered the structural integrity of the surrounding space.

WOOOOOSHHHHH!!!!

The sounds of the splitting atmosphere reached me just in time as a massive bat wing came cleaving downwards like a giant blade.

SHIIINNG!!!

A massive trench split the earth as I sidestepped the attack.

My fist clenched. Space twisting and breaking apart at the mere motion, before..

THOOOOOOMMM!!!

I let loose the punch.

CRASHHHHHH!!!!!!

The vampiric bat that had delivered the winged slash was blasted into a bloody mist the moment my fist connected with its torso.

SWOOOSHHH!!!

There was no respite given as another attack flew right towards my temple.

I ducked.

BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

The entire landscape behind me was instantly obliterated from existence. How far the damage spread, I had no mind to care, because...

"BLOOD DOMINANCE!" An ancient voice echoed through the broken skies.

I could feel a foreign influence try to take hold of my blood.

I’d felt this sensation once before.

And I already knew what would happen if I let such a thing happen, so..

"QUAKE!" I uttered as my fist disappeared into a rift in space.

BOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

An explosion ruptured through the entire landscape as blood rained from the skies. The blasted remains of one of the vampires accompanying them.

"DAMN IT!!" A frustrated roar tore through the skies as the remaining three immediately withdrew from our confrontation.

I stood there.

Breath even.

My wings flapping gently behind me as I leveled an unamused stare at the three large humanoid bats.

"You guys want to die that bad?" My voice came out cold and unfeeling as the atmosphere began reacting visibly.

The shatttered skies thundered as dark clouds roiled through.

The winds picked up violent speeds.

"Elijah..." the one named Klaus uttered grimly as his gaze remained unshaken.

"I know... it’s not him.. but then..." the one known as Elijah replied, Face grim.

"You... who are you?" The one named Klaus finally decided to address me, but..

"Heh! Old bastard. First you lose it and attack me. Then you get the nerve to ask who I am?"

RUMMMMMBLEEEEEE!!!!!

"You lost the right to live the moment you struck against me."

The faces of the three went grim as their gazes hardened.

"Young man. Do not..."

"You talk too much...."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!
