Chapter 319: Chapter 317:GOLDEN VANQUISHER!!!!!!!!!!

Five days later...

"TODAY! HISTORY IS ON THE VERGE OF BEING MADE!!!"

The voice of the fur ball echoed through the jam packed coliseum.

"SINCE THE FIRST INCEPTION OF THE PIT, SOMEONE HAS FINALLY REACHED THE FINAL STAGE OF THE ARMADA!"

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

My blood boiled as I felt the rush of excitement surging through the entire arena.

"FIVE DAYS! FOR FIVE GRUELING DAYS! ONE MAN! ONE MYTH! ONE LEGEND! HAS MOWED THROUGH THE INFAMOUS ARMADA WITHOUT REST!"

RAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

"WITH ABSOLUTE FINALITY! NO FOE HAS SURVIDED MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS AGAINST HIM AND THAT! WAS WHEN HE WAS MERCIFUL!"

"AS HANDSOME AS HE IS DEADLY!"

"AS DECISIVE AS HE IS POWERFUL!"

"AS ABSOLUTE AS THE UNIVERSE ITSELF!"

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! I GIVE YOUUUUUUUUU! THE ABSOLUTE HIMSELF! DANTE!! MOTHERFUCKING!! DRAVEN!!!!!"

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

"ABSOLUTE!"

"ABSOLUTE!"

"ABSOLUTE!"

.....

I spread my arms wide. Eyes closed as a manic smile split my face.

"Heh! Gotta give it to that fur ball. He sure knows how to rile people up."

My eyes snapped open as I caught sight of the cute fur ball.

"HEY! FUR BALL!!" My shout silenced the cheering as everyone focused on my next words.

"QUIT DAWDLING AND BRING OUT THE NEXT CHALLENGE! I’M GETTING BORED TO DEATH!!"

.....

.....

"Pfffttt....."

"HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHA!!!!"

The entire place erupted in a wave of excited laughter.

"Hah! That’s the absolute alright. The only thing capable of killing him is the boredom of standing idle."

"Bring them on! Bring on those wretched demons!!!"

A man yelled out in fervent excitement.

"Damn! What’s got you so hyped. Did demons kill your parents or something?"

His neighbor stared. Stunned.

"What? Of course not. I’ve never had any altercations with demons." The man shrugged.

"Then why the fuck are you calling them wretched?"

"Well, the absolute seems to despise them and he keeps calling them wretched, so, they might really be wretched."

"Damn. That’s a very one sided view."

"Am I wrong though?"

Sharing a camaraderie glance at each other.

They turned and then,

"BRING ON THE WRETCHED DEMONS!"

"BRING ON THE WRETCHED DEMONS!"

"BRING ON THE WRETCHED DEMONS!"

And so, like a wave, the chants caught on as the whole place suddenly began shouting for the release of the demons.

.....

A smile spread through my face as I heard the chanting of the excited crowd.

"ALRIGHT!! I SHALL BORE YOU NO LONGER WITH MY IDLE CHATTER!"

Following the sound of his voice, the entire place trembled violently.

The sensation feeling like a magnitude 10 earthquake had struck the place dead center.

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

A monument of such a grand scale it dwarfed anything I’d come across so far.

A gate.

One more massive than the statue of the Monkey king I’d encountered during the inheritance quest.

It pierced through the clouds. Only half of its majesty could be spotted with clouds around it.

I didn’t know how high it went, but It looked high enough that it seemed capable of overlooking the entire southern continent."

How I knew that? The sheer presence emanating from the gate itself made it feel like the entire southern continent itself was shaking.

The floor beneath me almost gave way entirely.

CREAAAAK!!!

The sound of the gates opening sounded like an ancient beast awakening from a long time slumber.

BOOOOM!!!!

The place rumbled as the gates slammed open.

The rush of corrupted mana I was expecting.

The flood of crimson I’d come to get used to.

None of it appeared.

Instead, there was a dead silence.

I couldn’t feel an ounce of aura coming from the gates, and that more than anything made me realize these ones were different.

"Ahhhh..... after so many years." A gravelly voice sounded from the depths of the gate.

Step.

The soft sounds of footsteps approaching following right after.

"Heh! So that witch finally found a reason to let us out?"

Step.

"I wonder what it is this time. It’s been so long. I wonder what that witch is planning."

Step.

"Haaaa.... The breath of fresh air..." my gaze immediately focused on the five figures that had appeared from the depths of the gate, and I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

They were five.

But this time, they weren’t demons. They were..

"Vampires?" My voice came out confused.

Here I was. Expecting another batch of demons. Only to be greeted with a bunch of withered leeches?

"Hmmm? A boy?" One of the withered figures finally turned towards me.

"A human boy. Hmmmmmm..... such a delightful smell." One of them took a deep breath. A sinister grin splitting his face as his fangs poked out.

"What is a human boy doing here?" Another one asked. Confused. But then,

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

The deafening roar of the crowd tore through the air.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! IN A SHOCKING TWIST OF EVENTS! THE FINAL OPPONENTS OF THE ARMADA ARE’T DEMONS! THEY ARE... ELDER VAMPIRES!!!!!"

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

"Damn! To think this was what was waiting at the final level.."

"Vampires! Goddamn! And elder vampires at that!"

"The absolute. Will he be okay?"

Someone asked in worry.

"Heh! Demons! Vampires! It doesn’t matter. At the end of the day. Only absolution remains."

Another person debunked in full confidence.

....

"Heh! So this is what that wench has reduced us to?"

"Entertainment for a bunch of livestock? Dracul be damned."

The withered elders growled as they felt the heated gazes of the entire audience settled on them.

"Hmm?" I raised a brow as I turned away a from the roaring crowd.

My gaze met the piercing red eyes of one of the elders. This one having not shifted his eyes from me since the beginning.

"Heh! Bag of bones. Never seen someone this good looking before?" I scoffed.

"You... you look familiar." The man replied. The red glow in his eyes intensified.

His words caught the attention of his other compatriots as they finally took their focus from the roaring crowd.

"Klaus. What is it?" One of the men asked the man staring at me.

"Elijah. Does anything of this brat look familiar to you?"

The vampire named Klaus asked instead of answering.

"Hmmm? Should something be familiar about him?" The one named Elijah asked back, his scrutinizing gaze focusing on me.

"His eyes. Look at his eyes. Tell me where you’ve seen such a gaze before." The moment those words left the mouth of the one named Klaus, I could see the others’ eyes visibly widen in horrifying realization.

.......

VIP room.

"Heh! It seems those leeches have caught on." Clarissa laughed as her eyes twinkled a mischievous light.

"Aunt Clarissa, what is it?" Mira asked, suddenly wary of her aunt’s antics.

"Clarissa.. you didn’t.." Claire stood in absolute shock as she seemed to have realized what was happening.

"Mom? What’s wrong?"

"Fufufufufu... it’s only right that the son finished what the father started no? Besides, aren’t you curious?"

"What the fuck are you two talking about?" Mira flared.

"Those five aren’t..."

"Heh! Just watch and see. I have a feeling we’re about to witness something absolutely terrifying." Clarissa’s smile widened.

"Somebody please! Tell me what the fuck is going on!" Mira grabbed her aunt by the scruff of her dress.

"Well. My lovely niece. What’s about to happen is we’re about to watch history repeat itself. The father stopped halfway. Let’s see how the son finishes it."

.......

"Hmmm? What’s going on now?" I asked out loud, yet before I could complete the thought...

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

A deafening screech tore through the atmosphere as the auras of the five vampires flared violently outwards.

The entire coliseum exploded before the runes could even do anything. The audience having luckily been teleported away.

"GOLDEN VANQUISHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Their furious roars exploded through the air.

The sky churned.

A smell of blood spreading through the air.

The silhouettes of five ginormous humanoid bats appearing within the skies as...

"DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

The plunged towards me...
