Chapter 2453: Chapter 2461: Stop Shaking
Since the General Manager was sitting close by, he could still hear Jane Sampson talking.
Hearing what Jane Sampson and James Black said, the General Manager almost choked on his tea.
"Boss, you and Mr. Black have two lottery tickets each, so your chances of winning are a bit higher than the rest of us. Boss, good luck!" The General Manager finished speaking and silently put down his teacup, desperately hiding the smile at the corners of his mouth.
Jane Sampson beamed like a flower, nodding twice, and after laughing enough, she bashfully giggled and quietly asked James Black, "Am I a particularly mean boss? Even competing with everyone for a mysterious prize."
James Black patted Jane Sampson on the head, "No, you’re not."
The raffle was naturally just for the atmosphere. As long as there was no behind-the-scenes manipulation, no matter who got the prizes, everyone would be happy.
The host for the evening’s celebration banquet was from the company, one person from the Public Relations Department, and another from the Marketing Department, a man and a woman, both speaking as effectively as in a debate.
Jane Sampson listened and was amazed, turning her head to praise the manager sitting next to her, while secretly thinking about how many talents Brooke Black recruited into the company for her.
The latter half was when they started drawing for the big prizes.
The host first called Jane Sampson on stage to draw the first and largest cash prize of 10,000 bucks.
Jane Sampson didn’t hesitate at all and trotted right up.
At the start of the celebration banquet, everyone’s table had a spare lottery ticket, while the other parts had already been placed into the lottery box.
To show fairness, Jane Sampson even shook the lottery box, which was wider than her, several times.
"Boss, stop shaking it! I’m not worried about your arm breaking, but I’m worried my big prize will be shaken away!" Someone jokingly shouted at Jane Sampson on stage.
"Maybe I’ll shake yours up from the bottom," Jane Sampson cheerfully replied, then reached in to pull out a lottery ticket.
Before handing it to the host, Jane Sampson curiously peeked at it herself. Seeing the number was rather high, she knew it wasn’t from her table of senior executives.
"The number of the special prize winner is, 63," Jane Sampson waved the lottery ticket in her hand at the people below, then saw a girl in a white dress and ponytail suddenly scream and excitedly hug the colleague next to her with glee.
This kind of joy is highly contagious.
Standing on stage, Jane Sampson watched and squinted her eyes, smiling foolishly like the kid next door.
Sitting below, James Black watched, his eyes full of the smiling Jane Sampson.
James Black thought, for Jane Sampson, happiness is really simple. She has always been someone who is easily satisfied.
Number 63 took a stack of cash from Jane Sampson’s hand and gave her a big hug before running back to her seat, still excitedly shouting, "Oh my god! I hugged our boss! I hugged our boss! I’m never taking a bath for ten years! This money, I won’t want to spend even a single buck!"
When Jane Sampson returned to sit by James Black, she was still grinning. After that, others from the company were responsible for drawing the remaining prizes, all of which were given out directly at the scene.
