Chapter 2452: Chapter 2460: I’m Not Watching
Although everyone was crowding towards the doorway to join the fun, when Jane Sampson and James Black walked in, everyone instinctively cleared the path to avoid blocking the two.
At first, James Black was holding Jane Sampson’s hand, but seeing this group of employees gathering around, he was afraid they might squeeze Jane Sampson, so he changed to embracing Jane Sampson.
Not until they reached the two people’s positions did James Black pull out a chair for Jane Sampson to sit down, before he relaxed from his protective stance over Jane Sampson.
"Mr. Black is coming over, I didn’t let everyone know beforehand, so when everyone saw Mr. Black suddenly, they got excited beyond measure." The General Manager sat down next to Jane Sampson.
Despite the big man talking as if everything was perfectly calm, inside, he was as excited as a little girl.
He glanced towards James Black several times while speaking.
He has known early on that Jane Sampson’s husband was no ordinary person, but seeing is believing.
Seeing him in person, one realizes that some people’s prestige is naturally innate.
There’s no need for excessive gestures or external decor, sitting there with just a gaze, he can dominate all around, exuding imposing presence.
"I find you’re even more popular than me." Jane Sampson turned to James Black and whispered, "You see, everyone’s staring at you, if I had known, I wouldn’t have brought you along!"
Jane Sampson grumbled, "They’re all staring at you, wishing they could stick right next to you for a look!"
After saying this, Jane Sampson teasingly pinched James Black’s arm.
Not hard.
James Black’s eyelids didn’t even twitch.
He just found the little young wife, who was throwing a small tantrum and being unconsciously jealous, particularly adorable.
So he reached out and ruffled Jane Sampson’s head, "When we get home, you can look at me all you want."
"I don’t want to look! I don’t like looking at all, I don’t!" Jane Sampson turned her head away directly, "I look way better than you anyway, I’d rather look at myself than you."
James Black couldn’t help but laugh, utterly amused by Jane Sampson.
"By the way, boss, there’s a raffle event tonight, later, should Mr. Black join in the fun and draw a prize?" The General Manager sat next to them, introducing the evening’s raffle event.
"The special prize is a 10,000 bucks cash prize, the first prize is a fruit phone, the second prize is a tablet computer, the third prize is 888 cash red envelope eight times, and there’s a mysterious prize." The General Manager chuckled at the mention of the mysterious prize, and his smile carried a hint of meaning.
"What is the mysterious prize?" Jane Sampson asked.
Regarding these events, Jane Sampson has delegated them entirely without inquiry, though the General Manager did mention the budget for the whole celebration banquet, not just for the raffle scene.
Therefore, Jane Sampson truly doesn’t know what the mysterious prize is.
"The mysterious prize is an idea from some people in the Design Department, they said it couldn’t be revealed in advance, otherwise it wouldn’t be called a mysterious prize, and it wouldn’t be interesting." The General Manager stated, "There’s only one mysterious prize arranged, nobody knows who will draw it."
Upon saying this, the General Manager chuckled again, "Everyone’s young, every single one of them ready to stir things up."
"It wouldn’t happen to be a box of snack gift package, would it?" Jane Sampson said, deliberately watching the General Manager for a few seconds.
Seeing the General Manager smiling as if there was hidden meaning, Jane Sampson reckoned she probably guessed it right.
Jane Sampson turned to tug at James Black, whispering in a hushed voice, "I kind of want this mysterious prize~"
