Chapter 2429: Chapter 2437: I Respect Him
Jane Sampson immediately laughed, "It’s very sweet, isn’t it? I think it’s delicious too."
Old Master Black sat next and watched the little couple taking turns to drink without a care, and his eyes hurt just watching.
Before, these two would sit together without exchanging a single word, which annoyed Old Master Black.
Now, sitting together like glue, Old Master Black looked and found it even more bothersome.
"If little Jane likes it, take some red beans back when you return. These red beans were sent by local villagers from the countryside. If little Jane loves the soft and mushy red beans, just simmer them over low heat for a while. Don’t like white sugar, once cooled, adding a bit of honey would be nice too," Aunt said, smiling as she walked out of the kitchen, "The weather is getting colder. Drinking some red bean soup every day is good, and it will warm the body."
"Thank you, Aunt, please pack some for me. When I get back, I’ll cook some. James Black also loves drinking it." Jane Sampson happily agreed and then turned to ask James Black, "Are you returning to the guard team that night?"
"Not returning, I’ll be busy in the city district tomorrow, so after dinner we’ll go back to our own home." James Black’s eyebrows couldn’t help but twitch slightly upon hearing Jane Sampson say he also loves drinking it.
But seeing Jane Sampson happy, he didn’t say anything.

Thus, for the sake of Old Green, James Black chose to let go of his hatred for the Miller Family, altering his original decision to ignore those two children.
"A few days ago, you took Jane to see your mother?" Old Master Black gently nodded, "That afternoon, I also went and saw a bouquet of daisies with your mother. I guessed it was you who went to see her."
"Yes." James Black nodded.
Old Master Black smiled contentedly and said nothing more.
But he understood that the day James went to see his mother, he must have already decided how to handle the issue with the two children.
Before dinner, Brooke Black returned hand in hand with her husband, the old couple chatting and laughing as they entered the door.
It was rare for both of them not to go out socializing, and coming back from work felt as joyous as returning from a leisurely stroll in the public park.
"Mom, Dad, did you win the lottery?" Peter Gingery joked as soon as he saw his dad and mom being so happy, "Your eyebrows are dancing, something joyful must have happened."
"At our age, what’s so happy about winning the lottery? Winning the lottery would spare you a bit of pocket money?" Father Gingery chuckled, then noticed James Black and Jane Sampson and greeted them, "Jane, you’re back?"
"I was the one who picked her up." Peter Gingery nudged away his dad and his mom, "Smiling so happily, it’s not the lottery? If we go by the TV drama trope, does that mean my mom is pregnant? Going to give me a younger brother or sister?"
Father Gingery raised his fist and gave Peter Gingery a punch, "What nonsense are you babbling? Can’t your mom and I just be happy and smile every day?"
"You silly boy, with my age now, am I going to give you a hairball as a younger sibling?" Brooke Black couldn’t help but roll her eyes at her biological son and then went over to chat with Jane Sampson.
It wasn’t to discuss Jane’s recent business trip and publicity matters, but to talk about West Crossing.
"Tomorrow morning at 8 o’clock, those four clothing items in the small online store will officially be available for sale. All these items are already stocked in that house’s warehouse, and as soon as someone places an order, it will absolutely be dispatched in seconds."
