Chapter 2424: Chapter 2432: Peeled for You to Eat
It was very late when they left the TV station and returned to the hotel. Coco Edwards was afraid Jane Sampson would revert to her old ways and insisted on moving to Jane’s room to sleep with her.
Jane Sampson couldn’t shake off Coco Edwards and just accepted it.
After washing up, Jane sent James Black a WhatsApp video.
James Black answered in seconds.
Looking at James’ face on the mobile phone, Jane started talking directly.
"James, I was scolded by my brother all night, so pitiful." Jane pouted with a small face and hummed twice, "You scold me, he scolds me, you’re both bad guys."
"I’m surprised he dared to scold you," James chuckled at the corner of his mouth, "Good job."
Listening to James’ sarcastic remarks, Jane clutched her chest and pretended she was about to suffocate.
"Your little Jane will be driven crazy by you one of these days." Jane showed her teeth at James, "If I go mad, you won’t find such a good wife again."
"Hmm," James nodded, "I’ll peel nuts for you when you return. It’s very late now, get some rest."
James remembered Jane still had a flight to catch tomorrow and an event in the evening.
After less than two minutes of talking, urged to rest, Jane nodded reluctantly, also considering James’ fatigue, didn’t hold him to continue chatting.
Coco Edwards had been out of the bathroom for a while and waited until Jane finished the call, then laid down next to her, and tickled her waist.
Jane was ticklish, and this tickle made her burst into laughter.
"Didn’t you notice your Father Black was jealous?" Coco tickled Jane and then pinched her face, "Your Father Black said he’d peel nuts for you when you return. Maybe he watched tonight’s live stream? Saw Mr. Carter feeding you all night, how come you’re so lucky?"
If Coco hadn’t mentioned it, Jane wouldn’t have noticed this.
Hearing Coco’s words, Jane laughed directly.
James Black is really something; he’s even jealous of James Carter.
He knows James Carter is her brother by blood.
Because they didn’t grow up together, after returning to the Carter Family, James Carter’s care was even more attentive.
Early the next morning, thinking about Nia’s surgery, the first thing Jane did after getting up was call Nia.
Nia’s surgery was scheduled for around 8:30.
When Jane called her, Nia was a bit nervous during the waiting time.
Receiving Jane’s call, Nia’s voice on the phone was tense.
Jane comforted Nia for quite a while on the phone and sang several songs for her before Nia relaxed.
After Nia entered the surgery room, Jane talked with Sister Grace for a while before hanging up the phone.
Once she was ready, Jane went directly with Coco Edwards and a few others to catch the flight for the next city’s promotional tour.
Past 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Jane received a message from Nina Rice, knowing Nia had come out of the surgery room, and the surgery process was relatively smooth with no accidents.
Jane felt relieved.
For promotion, Jane was busy for a week, being a jet setter outside region for a week, one city a day.
After the eighth day out, she finally returned to Capital Province.
When the airplane landed, just opening her mobile phone, Jane received James Black’s text message, informing her that he had an urgent matter and couldn’t come to the airport, but arranged for Peter Gingery to pick her up to return to the guard team.
