Chapter 2416: Chapter 2424: Go See Mother
James Black didn’t let Peter Gingery in because he was afraid of waking up Jane Sampson, who was still sleeping. Peter glanced at the closed bedroom main gate, clicked his tongue a few times, and left after speaking.
James sat alone on the sofa in the living room for a long time, until the sound of Jane opening the door to come out of the bedroom startled him and brought him back to his senses.
"What are you doing sitting here?" Jane rubbed her eyes and walked towards James. "You’re not heading out this morning?"

Jane said, "Before, Peter and I had nothing to do and loved rummaging through grandfather’s study, just like searching for treasures. Grandpa’s study has a book dedicated to albums of his past teammates, with Grandpa Green’s photo in it. Hearing you mention Grandpa Green, when I carefully recall now, Clarke really does look like Grandpa Green."
Jane and Peter have never seen Old Sir Green in person; they only saw him through Elder Black’s album. In James’s memory, it seems he has seen Old Sir Green as a child.
Just because he was young, James’s memory isn’t clear.
Additionally, his personality has been stable since young, unlike Peter and Jane who would mess around, so naturally he didn’t have much chance to see the album in Elder Black’s study. So, James turns out to have no impression of Old Sir Green.
But if Peter says so, and even Jane says so, it must be really similar.
"Clarke looks so much like Grandpa Green, perhaps they really have some connection," Jane thought about the elderly in the photo, alone being buried in the graveyard, and said, "If we can find Grandpa Green’s family, that’d be great. "No sleep, I’ll catch up on the airplane later, right now I feel quite energetic." Jane shook her head, "Let’s wash up together and then eat together. Going to bed late, my appetite isn’t great, I can’t finish all this alone."
One look at the amount of breakfast and it’s obvious Peter brought it for James.
"Okay." James then released the embrace, took her hand, and returned to the bedroom.
While handing the toothbrush to Jane, he suddenly said something.
"After breakfast, accompany me to see Mom."
Jane was startled for a few seconds before nodding her head, "Okay."
