Chapter 54: Two Month Time Skip
Gray left Carol to her culinary madness and instantly vanished, using his Jumper-style teleportation to jump directly back to the underground space.
He opened up his Dimensional Farm, where all the Minecraft-style crops were fully mature and ready for harvest. With a single thought, he willed the crops to be collected into his spatial bag and instantly willed the seeds to replant across the massive amount of free space. Once the automation took over, he simply walked out of the pocket dimension.
Gray maintained this exact routine for the remainder of the days his training dimension was locked.
Exactly 47 hours after purchasing the Home Garden, Gray checked his system interface and saw his balance had skyrocketed to a staggering 10,213,450,403,984 Gold. He immediately bought the next upgrade.
[New Upgrade]
(10T Gold) 97,689,600,000 Gold/Hour
[New Hourly Rate]
429,836,436,618 (195,380,198,463) Gold/Hour
Gold: 213,450,403,984
’Damn, I could’ve bought Rebirth right now, but I don’t wanna struggle like I did when I first arrived in this world...Besides, I haven’t thought about what powers to take with me just yet.’ Gray thought.
Since his Training Dimension was still on cooldown for another two days, he didn’t mind the wait and used his downtime for daily aerial scouting trips.
During those free days, his world map flagged two separate groups of survivors. First, he discovered a small group of 5 people barely hanging on in the wild. The very next day, he located a struggling family of 8.
He drove to them, checked them all with Sin Vision, and confirmed they were good people. With their innocence verified, he easily helped them move into available cell blocks back at the prison since the apartment complexes were not ready yet.
Meanwhile, his food production was operating at maximum efficiency. He kept supplying Carol with more premium ingredients and specialized tree meat than she knew what to do with. To push his setup even further, Gray began taking the crops and meat harvested from his Home Garden and bringing them directly inside the Dimensional Farm to level it up even faster.
Finally, at exactly 7:00 PM, Gray’s Training Dimension became available once again.
Without wasting a single second, he went straight to Rick to give him a heads-up. "I’m going to be completely unavailable for the next twenty-four hours," Gray told him. "Tell the others not to look for me since I’ll be busy."
Rick nodded. "Don’t worry about it. We’ve got things handled."
Gray nodded, instantly teleported back down to his underground area, opened up the gate, and stepped into his training dimension.
As soon as Gray stepped into the training dimension, his Minecrafter powers were locked. The place looked exactly the same as he left it. He nodded to himself and put his armor away. He checked his system and saw he had over 24 Trillion Gold. He closed the interface and spawned Master Roshi again.
Roshi didn’t waste any time. He went right back to their normal lessons. In the mornings, they did brutal physical training. In the afternoons, Roshi taught Gray fighting stances and how to control his Ki. Gray kept up with this tough routine every single day.
One week into the training, Roshi saw that Gray had completely gotten used to the gravity. He raised it from 3x to 5x gravity. Gray struggled hard against the extra weight.
Two weeks in, Roshi increased the gravity again, pushing it up to 7x gravity.
Finally, just three days before the 30 days were up, Roshi cranked it all the way to 10x gravity.
By now, Gray’s body had completely transformed. His muscles were much denser and harder. He finally looked like a real Saiyan warrior. The only thing that made him look different from a pure anime Saiyan was his regular hair.
Gray could now kinda feel Ki energy inside himself. He still hadn’t learned how to fly or shoot a Kamehameha yet, but he felt like he was extremely close to breaking through.
Gray spent his last three days grinding hard in the heavy 10x gravity. As soon as the timer hit zero, the dimension kicked him out, and he blinked right back onto his underground basement floor.
Gray stood up on the cold stone floor of his underground basement. His Minecrafter powers instantly came back online, flooding his body with a wave of energy. He put his blackened armor back on and carefully hid his tail around his waist.
He took a deep breath. His body felt completely different now. He could feel the raw, compact muscle under his skin, and the invisible hum of Ki swirling inside his chest. He was much stronger and faster than before.
With a quick thought, he used his Jumper-style teleportation and blinked straight back to his house. He sat down and took a moment to feel his new physical strength. The training was definitely making his body stronger and harder. Thinking about how much Goku and Vegeta had to train in the Dragon Ball universe, this all made perfect sense. Getting his body completely used to 10x gravity in just two months was a massive feat in itself.
The only thing he was missing right now was a bit more specialized Ki training. He could feel the energy, but he needed proper guidance to fully weaponize it.
Gray planned out his next moves. Once he finished Roshi’s training, he would spend some of his trillions of Gold to buy Kami, Mr. Popo, and Korin as his next teachers.
If he remembered correctly, Kami was the one who originally taught Goku how to fly. Plus, learning some of Kami’s unique utility techniques, like the Clothes Beam, would come in handy for instantly creating outfits.
For now, he had seven days of real-world downtime ahead of him. The prison was running smoothly under the Council, his farms were overflowing with food, and his passive income was generating billions every hour.
Gray stopped himself as a sudden idea popped into his head.
He opened the system shop and started browsing through it. After a bit of searching, his eyes landed on something interesting... Gogeta Talent for 350 Billion Gold.
Since it was just the raw talent and not a full character template, it was way cheaper than he expected. Gray began to analyze the purchase. If he bought this, would he be able to learn Ki techniques at an extremely fast pace? More importantly, if he later moved to a new world and didn’t choose to keep this specific power, would he still retain the skills? Technically, he would be learning them himself, so the knowledge should stick with him.
He thought about it for a few more minutes and decided to just go for it. He tapped buy.
Instantly, a wave of warm energy spread throughout his entire body. A minute later, the sensation faded away. Gray sat perfectly still and recalled Roshi’s lectures on the basics of Ki control. All of a sudden, everything the old master had explained felt incredibly simple. The concepts just clicked in his mind.
To test his new talent, Gray used his Jumper-style teleportation. In a blink, he appeared in the middle of the empty, destroyed town where he had previously tested Merlin’s magic.
He dropped into the iconic martial arts stance. He cupped his hands at his hip and began to concentrate his energy.
"KAMEEE..." Gray chanted out loud. A bright, blue sphere of pure Ki instantly sparked and formed right between his palms.
"HAMEEE..." The light grew larger and brighter, illuminating the abandoned streets. The raw power hummed against his skin, completely under his control.
He aimed his hands straight up into the dark night sky. "HAAAAAAAA!"
A massive blue energy beam erupted from his hands. The blast tore through the sky, completely parting the clouds, and shot straight past the Earth’s atmosphere. Gray cut off the energy supply, and the beam vanished.
Standing in the quiet ruins of the town, Gray had the biggest grin of his life on his face. He had finally achieved the ultimate dream of millions of people. He had actually fired a real Kamehameha.
Still smiling, he teleported right back inside his house. He walked over, turned on his TV, and prepared to spend his evening watching everything Dragon Ball related.
Gray leaned back on his couch, casually grabbing a snack as the credits rolled on the final episode of the original Naruto series. He clicked the remote to cue up Naruto Shippuden, letting his mind drift over everything that had changed during the last two months of this steady, brutal routine.
Time had flown by. Gray hadn’t even bothered looking at new system upgrades lately, choosing instead to focus entirely on his routine. In the real world, he kept saving every innocent survivor he found and ruthlessly eliminating any bad groups he encountered. He had also started aggressively clearing out walkers. Whenever he flew over a small town or city overrun with the undead, Gray would drop in, wipe them all out in minutes, and cleanly vanish the bodies using Merlin’s destructive magic.
Every single time his Training Dimension came off its seven-day cooldown, he instantly stepped back inside to push his limits.
His training roster had evolved massively. After three more simulated months under Master Roshi, which cost three weeks of real-world time. Gray had completely mastered everything the old master could possibly teach him. From there, he swapped teachers. He spent two simulated weeks pushing his agility and balance with Korin. Once that was done, he moved on to the ultimate platform... Kami and Mr. Popo. He had just finished a grueling four-and-a-half-month training cycle under them.
Physically, Gray hadn’t changed much on the outside, but the way he carried himself was completely different. He moved with absolute, silent grace. His Ki control was flawless. Thanks to his training with Kami and Popo, he had completely conquered his Saiyan biology and fully mastered his Great Ape (Oozaru) transformation. He could now stand under a full moon with zero risk of losing his mind or control.
His sparring partners inside the dimension had changed too. He started low, first summoning Yamcha. Thanks to his {Gogeta Talent}, it took Gray less than a single day to perfectly read Yamcha’s fighting style, adapt to it, and completely beat him. From there, he aggressively challenged stronger fighters during his free time. Even when he was back in the real world, he constantly kept his Ki senses active, fine-tuning his awareness. His very latest sparring partner before exiting the dimension had been Raditz, pushing his combat reflexes to a new level.
But Gray hadn’t just spent his time training and clearing towns. The prison fortress had undergone a massive, high-tech evolution.
He had brought in two brand-new AI networks to assist JARVIS. The first was VEGA from DOOM, who was placed in absolute charge of external defense. Under VEGA’s command, squads of heavy T-800 droids stood unblinking on the newly extended walls, while fast, agile Code-8 droids patrolled the perimeters. Every single droid was equipped with an infinite-ammunition rifle, turning the prison into an impenetrable war zone for walkers or raiders.
These walls were absolutely legendary. They came from his max-level Home Garden upgrade, standing as massive 10-meter-tall stone barriers that stretched around the base, completely enclosing the area. They were roughly 3 meters wide, giving the droids a massive, solid platform to patrol and hold the line against anything that approached.
The second AI was The White Queen from Resident Evil, who took over medical and internal bio-data logistics.
With the survivors and JARVIS working around the clock, the ten-story smooth stone apartment complexes were fully completed and optimized. Every single apartment now had central AC, heating systems, electricity, hot and cold running water, and a working sewage system. The entryways were fitted with heavy reinforced doors that could easily withstand high-grade explosions, and the windows were completely bulletproof.
JARVIS had also wired security sensors and scanners throughout the entire residential blocks. The system kept tabs on everyone’s vitals at all times. If someone were to pass away peacefully in their sleep, JARVIS would know instantly and deploy bots to quietly remove the body before it could turn.
If Dr. Edwin Jenner, Dr. Candace, and their new medical assistants needed more samples to study the wildfire virus, the bots would deliver the body straight to them. The Jenners had completely moved out of their cramped mobile lab and into a massive, state-of-the-art facility built across one of the empty stone floors deep underground. Gray had even supplied them with samples of viral cures from games like Surroundead. With the advanced tech and the computational power of the White Queen guiding them, the Jenners were now incredibly close to finalizing a functional cure.
Once the scientists finished their tests, the remains were given a respectful, proper burial.
Gray stopped reminiscing and smiled, focusing back on the glowing television screen. During his quiet real-world downtime, he had fully completed his media marathons. He had watched absolutely everything Dragon Ball related, finished the entire Marvel cinematic catalog, and was now completely catching up on the ninja world.
