Chapter 148: My true love
Mira felt her heart race. Ming Tao’s face pressed into her neck was ticklish and she fought the urge to react to it. She did not want to do something to make him stop then become further distant.
[ With how horny he is, I doubt that would be possible, host! ] System chimed.
Mira swallowed. Ming Tao was. . . horny? System gave her no notification of that and she had barely done anything.
Mira tilted her neck further to the side to allow his head sink into her skin. Soon, his nose was not the other thing she felt on her neck anymore, she felt a wet trail followed by a bite.
Mira whimpered. Like a switch snapped in his head, Ming Tao immediately let go then shifted his head back. His cheeks burned. "Sorry." He stated, blinking at his action.
Doing that felt normal. His primal instinct kicked in and he wanted to indulge in it.
Mira had a shy blush, she bit her lower lip then continued serving the cooked meat into the plate. "It is okay, my husband. I do not mind it."
Ming Tao looked away from her. His body burned with a heat he had not felt in a long while and it was no secret that this woman was the cause of it. "I need water." He uttered.
Mira dropped the plate now full with meat down then crawled backward do get him some water. There was a large bowl she had full of fresh water and she only served out of it with a wooden cup into the cup meant for specifically for Ming Tao.
Ming Tao let his eyes trace her behind. He had never seen her dressed like this but he liked it. The view was nice from where he stood and he desperately wanted to tell her to stay there and not turn. Her behind was all the water he needed to quench his thirst.
Stop, thinking about this! His mind warned, you should hate her, she was the evil one, replayed in his head like a chant.
But she was my wife, and for all I know, she was far from evil. I loved her. I love her, the voice that countered the other voice in his mind made Ming Tao confused. It was like there was a riot in his mind about her identity and he could not tell which was accurate and which he was supposed to listen to.
Listen to me, the voice continued in his head, listen to how round and juicy her behind is, listen to how it makes you feel. Listen to the growth happening between your legs and to your desire when she was next to you.
Mira turned. She had a smile on her lips that made Ming Tao’s eyes widen. She was beautiful. She was so damn beautiful and alone with him looking like that. Mira made her way to him. "Here is your water, my husband." She purred.
Ming Tao looked at the cup in her hand then at her fingers. A memory flashed in his head. Those fingers had been his undoing, it was no question but when? What were these contrasting memories? What was happening to him?
"Thank you." He said, he reached his hand out to take the cup then drank all of it. He needed more. That did very little to quench the heat. "I need food." Ming Tao said, that was his attempt to get his mind off what was running through his head.
Mira took the cup from him then walked back to fill it with water before coming back to him. Her hand carried the plate and she held it up to his face as her fingers held a piece in her. "Please eat, my husband." Mira pleaded.
Even if you did not ask me, I would’ve without a second thought, he said in his mind. Ming Tao parted his lips and let her feed him. The moment the meat touched his tongue, his tail wiggled. The richness of the flavour opened his taste bud to a heavenly level he never knew could be acquired in his life.
Ming Tao chewed. "More." He stated. Mira picked up more meat and fed it to him. The more he ate, the more his tongue memorised the taste. He had eaten this before. This same woman had given this to him before and he loved it.
The plate was empty now, Mira picked up the cup of water and brought it to his mouth. Ming Tao drank. He wanted to ask for more but tried to control himself. "Who taught you how to make that?" He asked once he was done drinking water. Mira kept the cup by the plate and looked up to him.
"I just kind of knew." She responded.
[ Liar! ] system chimed. Well, Mira could not tell him the truth so she went with the best bet.
"Make that for me again, I love it." Ming Tao stated. This was the first time he was being nice to her since that night.
Now was the chance to remind him of who he was. Mira set all the wooden plates and cups aside. Out of the picnic sheet on the ground with one hand then returned to face Ming Tao. "I said I would always do this for you, my husband." Mira said, her voice was sad and Ming Tao felt his heart wrench at that.
He did not like the look on her face either.
"Please let me rinse my hand of the. . ." Before Mira finished the statement, Ming Tao took her hand in his and licked. He licked her fingers till there was no single remains to prove she just touched well cooked and sliced meat.
"Done." He said.
Mira’s cheeks reddened. She could have totally rinsed her hand but this was even better. "Can I touch you, my husband?" Mira asked.
"You may."
Mira brought both her hands to his face. Ming Tao ate her food without a question so the aphrodisiac would kick in anytime soon.
Mira let her fingers strike his cheek as she cupped both sides of his face and Ming Tao just stayed still, enjoying the feel of her fingers and enjoying her scent.
"What do you think of me, husband? You have treated me with so much contempt." Mira asked softly. Her fingers raided his hair now and she began to stroke his head gently. Ming Tao purred, he loved the familiar feel of her touch.
"Contempt?" Ming Tao asked.
Right, he did not know what that meant.
"A new word." Ming Tao stated. He remembered something. Mira’s strange words. He formed his own words and wanted to tell it to her. He just never did. He never had the chance to.
Ming Tao’s heart rummaged hard against his chest in realisation. This woman. . . She was someone he cares deeply about.
"With hate." Mira said to him, answering his question. "You have been so mean to me, my husband. I want to know why." Mira said carefully. To break him out of the trance, she needed to know the trance.
"I. . ." Ming Tao began. Nothing was making sense to him anymore. His brain was rewired to accept something else as a reality yet memories flooded his mind that went against that. "I think I was meant to hate you. . ." Ming Tao admitted. He looked confused.
"Why, skinny cat? What did I do so wrong?" Mira purred. Now, her voice was a buttery honey that made him want to submit to her every word.
"Skinny cat. . ." Ming Tao worded. He was her skinny cat. He swallowed. "All I know is you are the evil one trying to separate me from my true love." Ming Tao uttered.
That sounded wrong leaving his mouth. It sounded so false.
"And who is your true love, skinny cat?" Mira questioned. Her fingers made its way to his chest and she caressed. The distraction may be far from giving him a clear head but he was opening up and she knew he was horny, so all she had to do was prey on his hormones. The aphrodisiac would kick in soon enough anyway.
Ming Tao groaned. Her fingers were doing things to him that messed with his head. Be met out a heavy groan and said, "My true love is. . ."
