Chapter 141: The end of Mira Yang?
WHAT?!
Mira’s head shut up in disbelief.
This was the last straw promoting her to stay silent. She knew now was not the best time to bark her thoughts out but she could not let her sister utter such bullshit and get away with it.
It all made sense now. Hye Yang wanted to force her out of the way completely. Discredit her so much then take her place, leaving Mira with absolutely no power at all.
But could this actually happen? There was no rule book that the old Mira knew that could educate this Mira on stuff like these.
Could her bond with her husbands actually be overruled by the Ruling Oracle? Even after carrying their children?
She still had three more husbands to meet. She had not even spent enough time with Ming Tao to enjoy some lovey dovey time and pregnancy and post partum and everything that came with this at all because of the constant drama that came in this clan yet this was about to happen?
Mira’s body froze in a spot. Her lips parted open but no words came out.
"Do you have anything to say to plead your case, Mira Yang?" One of the members in the Ruling Oracle said. They all sounded the same, it was hard to tell the gender of these people cause whoever spoke sounded like the other one and Mira could not tell what it was that caused this.
The beast world was way too in a primitive era for her to imagine voice changing elixirs although she would not think past it because abortion concoctions existed and so did magic and dark magic.
Mira cleared her throat. She could finally feel her temporary paralysis vanish. "I do." Mira worded.
She straightened her pose to face them, a serious look in her eyes. "What my sister has stated about me was true. I did neglect my duties for so long and terrorised my people and so many brothers and sisters of the beast tribe to no end." Mira admitted, there was no use lying. The Ruling Oracle were not idle of the things happening in the clans so they must already know these things, but this was the first time Mira had been summoned to stand in front of them and try to prove herself.
Hye Yang was insane, that was for sure and Mira knew this before, she just underestimated the gravity of how insane her sister was.
Mira knew Hye Yang wanted what she had but she downplayed the fact that her sister actually killed her to acquire it so much that she showed her sister mercy. Never again would Mira make that mistake.
She knew this before but she reminded herself about it again, Hye Yang needed to go. And fast.
"But that came from a girl who was young and made stupid mistakes like every other female her age." Mira continued. She tried to make them see reasoning. She hoped they would, with how much percentage of people that still hated her, she could not afford not to be in her status.
They would not hold back if they knew she had been stripped of all her privileges and they may actually kill her this time. The thought was terrifying. The gravity of how badly she was hated just dawned hard on Mira at this moment and it made her body shiver with a cold, curdling fear.
"Which beast girl your age did the things that you did?" Cut through the air from Mira’s side. It was Hye Yang. She was not going to keep shut while Mira tried to prove her point, she would do anything to stop that from happening even.
Her intention was to take everything till her sister was down to zero and had absolutely nothing to her name. She wanted Mira Yang to suffer and feel what it felt like to want something so badly yet not have it. And the worst part about Mira that Hye Yang detested was how she nearly threw her gorgeous privilege away and chased after a nobody, Mu Yang. Her sister was easily manipulated and not fit for her role so Hye Yang took it upon herself to relieve Mira of those labels and have it all for herself. . . . even through she was the main mastermind behind her sister’s bad decisions.
Mira swallowed. She knew no one who had done the terrible things the old owner of this body had and it was so not a good thing right now.
"How many people your age threatened to eat the cubs and made pregnant women feel unsafe? How many of your kind have actually tasted beast people flesh? Your own people that birth you feel unsafe while living next to you, how can we trust you with other people and our young? You are a threat to all of us!" Hye Yang barked. She was loud and ensured to put Mira at a disadvantage.
"I do not deny that I have been an absolute fool. Being young does not call for such evil and arrogant behaviour but I have changed!" Mira yelled, her resolve to stay calm and sane was breaking. Her fear was the only thing living rent free in her mind and it was making her not think properly. She faced the Ruling Oracle. "I have changed. I have carried six children for the lion king, my husband in my womb and almost died during child birth. I have decided to right my wrongs and the beast people who I have lived among now accept me!
Please, I am no saint but give me a chance to right my wrong and change the cycle of tyranny that I once established. I will do better!" Mira added. She was out of breath. Talking this much was becoming a strain to her.
She was way too fatigued to be going through this all at once. She was way too pregnant to be getting such mental stress.
Mira got on her knees. Even though she could not see the Ruling Oracle members, she felt the tension brew as she fell to her knees. "I am a mother now and I carry a baby in my womb, I know what it is like now. I am way more mature and knowledgeable and I will do anything to redeem myself and help our people. Do not push me out.
The beast people would not waste time to try to end my life, they had done it before!"
