Chapter 30: The 68th Floor Boss

Then, a few days later, Arya went to search for the people who had survived from his village.

Before leaving, he looked at Miyuki.

"I’ll be back tonight."

After saying that, he left.

Every night, Arya returned, but he never found anyone.

He searched farther than his usual limits, yet there was still no sign of any survivors.

After finishing his search, he always returned home using his Teleport Skill.

Whenever he came back, Miyuki would immediately ask,

"Did you find anyone?"

Arya could only shake his head.

Just like that...

An entire month passed.

This time, before using Teleport, Arya decided to visit the destroyed village again.

Maybe he had missed an important clue.

As he walked outside, he looked back at the house.

It no longer looked abandoned.

Because of Miyuki, the house was clean and looked almost like a brand-new home.

Just as he was about to leave, Miyuki called out to him.

"Arya."

He turned around.

"What happened?"

Miyuki slowly walked outside.

She was wearing a maid dress she had made herself.

Looking at him nervously, she asked,

"How do I look?"

Arya smiled.

"You look nice... Beautiful."

The moment she heard that, her face instantly turned red.

Without saying another word, she quickly ran back inside the house.

Arya scratched his head.

"I don’t understand..."

Then he flew toward the destroyed village.

After searching the area carefully once again, he finally found one clue.

Some villagers had survived.

Their footprints showed they had escaped toward another kingdom.

If Arya wanted to know what had really happened...

He would have to go there someday.

But he was still only a kid.

He still didn’t have enough power to defeat the powerful monsters on the journey.

So he returned home and made a decision.

The nearby forest was filled with monsters.

A new Dungeon had also appeared there.

It was the perfect place to level up and become stronger.

After returning home, Arya told everything to Miyuki.

After listening quietly, she looked at him.

"Can you help train me too?"

Arya agreed.

From that day onward, Arya began training Miyuki in magic while continuing his own training.

After five years...

In the dark forest, inside a dungeon on the 68th floor...

A giant stone monster suddenly threw a huge, powerful rock toward them.

Before it could reach them, Miyuki raised her wooden magic staff.

She silently cast a spell.

A blue barrier instantly appeared in front of them.

Boom!

The giant rock crashed into the barrier and stopped completely.

Arya stood beside her with a white sword in his hand.

Now, Arya had grown up.

He was thirteen years old.

Miyuki was ten years old.

During the past few years, both of them had become much stronger.

Arya had also taught Miyuki many new kinds of magic.

Suddenly...

A pair of white wings appeared behind Arya.

He looked at Miyuki.

"If we stay here, he’ll keep attacking us."

"You keep casting magic and block his vision."

"I’ll attack from above."

"The magic stone on his forehead is his core."

"I’ll destroy it."

"But before I reach him, create a Gravity Force spell."

"Slow him down."

"This is your chance."

"Let’s go."

Miyuki nodded.

She stepped forward and faced the giant stone monster.

Before it could attack again, she created a large fireball and threw it toward the monster.

At the same time...

Arya spread his white wings and flew into the sky.

The giant stone monster raised both hands to block the fireball.

For a moment...

It completely lost sight of Arya.

From above, Arya quickly closed the distance.

Just as he reached the monster...

It noticed him and tried to attack.

But Miyuki immediately cast Gravity Magic.

A heavy force surrounded the monster.

Its movements became much slower.

"Now, Arya!"

Without hesitation...

Arya swung his white sword.

Slash!

The magic stone on the monster’s forehead shattered.

The giant stone monster stopped moving.

Then its entire body broke apart into countless pieces.

Large chunks of stone crashed onto the ground.

Before the collapsing stones could reach them...

Arya activated Teleport.

Just before disappearing, he grabbed Miyuki.

The next moment...

Both of them returned to the front of their house.

As soon as they arrived, Miyuki dropped to one knee.

She tightly held her magic staff and took a long breath.

"Finally..."

"We defeated the boss monster."

Arya smiled.

"That’s because you helped me."

"We defeated it together."

Miyuki shook her head.

"No."

"It’s because of you."

"I’ve become much stronger than before."

"You gave me this wooden magic staff."

"Because of it, I can cast much stronger magic."

"My mana doesn’t get used up so quickly anymore."

"It has helped me a lot."

The wooden magic staff Miyuki was holding was the one Arya had found in the hidden treasure room beneath the old house.

After finding it, Arya had given it to her.

Normally, humans and the other races use ordinary magic staffs.

Those staffs don’t have any magic stored inside them.

They only help the caster use their own mana to cast magic.

But Miyuki’s staff was different.

It wasn’t an normal magic item.

It had originally been created for a high-ranking mage.

It was a Magic Staff Item.

Magic items like this were extremely rare.

That’s why it was completely different from the staffs used by normal mages itam.

Once all the magic inside them was used, they would eventually break after reaching their limit.

But this staff was different.

After Arya found it, he used one of his skills to make it even stronger.

Now, whenever the staff’s magic power was almost empty...

It slowly gathered mana from the surrounding area and restored itself.

Because of that, Miyuki could cast much stronger magic while using far less of her own mana.

Arya smiled.

"Let’s go."

"We worked hard today."

"It’s time to get some rest."

Then Arya stretched out his hand toward her.

Miyuki looked at his hand for a moment.

A small smile appeared on her face.

She gently held his hand.

Arya pulled her up to her feet.

The moment their hands touched...

Miyuki felt strangely shy.

She quickly looked away, trying to hide the slight redness on her face as the two of them quietly walked back toward the house together.
