Chapter 337: The War Of Two Great Race
"Mother of all phoenix... Fire progenitor... the Embodiment of rebirth... what the hell with all these powerful titles she possesses? What tier was she must have to be to have these ones..."
Thinking about all these things Dhruv couldn’t help but be awed by the extent of her power.
’...And with all these things to her name, she wants Vecar to change his race to phoenix, and when that doesn’t happen, she wants to meet me and use the power of True Fusion...’
The whirlpool of thought didn’t stop there either,
’...And apparently, she entered the evolution realm with the use of blood... man, using the blood of other monsters is not viable, I think I’ve to be careful in choosing which species blood I can take inside of me...’
Pondering over all these things, Dhruv began to sort all this information and reflect on it first. He already had so much on his hands and didn’t want to take any unnecessary action anytime soon.
Giving their master some time to think, all the guardians became silent.
After pondering for a minute or two, Dhruv finally had an idea of what he wanted to do with the situation.
"Aurora, do you know any major wars that are going on in the Cosmos?" Dhruv asked, looking at the youngest guardian with hope. Knowing the sensitivity of the topic, he didn’t want to act before knowing as much as possible.
Listening to the question, Aurora thought for a moment before responding, "Countless wars are happening in the cosmos at every moment... but I think I have an idea about which war Pyra is referring to."
"Go on," Dhruv prompted as everyone focused on Aurora’s words. Even Vecar was paying attention to this conversation.
"While I was still on my planet, I had heard some news about dragons destroying an entire planet of phoenixes, which promptly sparked a war between the two great races..."
"...When I learned of this news, the war was still in its initial phase, so there wasn’t much information about it... but looking at the actions of Pyra, we can judge that the phoenixes are on the losing side," Aurora informed.
’Dragons destroyed a Phoenix planet... are they some kind of demonic race or what?’ Dhruv thought as he asked another question.
"Was there any reason for this destruction... or did the dragons just do it because they can?"
"This is not that simple, Master... the dragons didn’t attack out of nowhere... the feud between these two great races has been ongoing for a long, long time..." Aurora explained as she began telling everyone the history behind these two races.
The very first thing she mentioned was that these two races are considered great races. Knowing they were hearing the term for the first time, Aurora explained what being a great race meant.
"There are two conditions one must fulfill in order to become a great race... first, being in possession of more than two galaxies, while having at least one member of your race reaching the divinity..."
"Divinity... you mean Tier IX, right?" Dhruv asked in return.
"Yes, Master..." Aurora replied.
After saying these she continued to tell them a few more species that were considered great races. Vampires, Giants, Elves, Dwarves, and Aethraxians were some of the examples.
Noticing she was getting sidetracked Aurora focused on the topic and began telling them about dragons and phoenixes. For obvious reasons, she talked about dragons first.
"So, dragons... they are very prideful monsters... they are so prideful that the progenitor of their race even has the title of ’Embodiment of Pride’... a title he wholeheartedly flaunts..."
"Even though almost all dragons are prideful, they aren’t looked down upon... as the strength they possess in both magic and physical prowess is nothing to scoff at."
"The stats they have at Tier I can sometimes even rival the stats of monsters at Tier IV albeit of weaker species... they are that strong." Aurora wasn’t exaggerating when she mentioned these things.
"If they are that strong, then how are the phoenixes able to keep up with them..." Hearing how terrifying the dragons were, Dhruv couldn’t help but begin feeling pity for the phoenixes.
"No, Master, you are confusing something here... yes, the dragons are strong... but phoenixes aren’t weak either... every member of their race has such precise control of flame that they can absorb the heat from space itself..."
’Shit... who was calling them weak... certainly not me’ Gulping a mouthful of saliva, Dhruv thought.
"That’s not all. They have another gift... the Gift of rebirth... after reaching Tier IV, almost every member of the Phoenix race becomes very difficult to kill. They have countless tricks to keep themselves alive..."
Aurora educated them all as she recounted the history of both races. After taking a breath, she continued explaining how and why the feud between the two races had started.
"Now, the phoenixes’ ability to harness fire was exactly what bothered dragons the most. Although they mostly used their might to win most fights, one of their most used attacks is dragon breath, which is a form of fire magic as well..."
"...And when they understood what this meant, they began proclaiming that they are the greatest users of fire magic... in response, the phoenixes did nothing despite constant torment from the dragons which clearly shows how mindful race they are.."
Aurora informed remembering how Phonix despite their terrifying strength, is considered one of the most respected and well-thought races in the entire cosmos.
If no one were to do anything to them first then they could spend their entire life perfecting their flames.
"This could’ve continued for countless more years without anything serious happening... but everything changed when recently the current progenitor of the phoenixes, Pyra, reached Tier IX and was granted the title of ’Progenitor of Fire’."
Listening to the tale, Dhruv couldn’t help but find himself with some questions. Looking at Aurora, he finally voiced them...
"Aurora, so Pyra recently climbed to Tier IX. Does that mean they have become a great race recently?" Dhruv asked confused as he was thinking they were great race from eons but now finds that Pyra had only recently become the progenitor.
