Chapter 326: So Much

Reaching the room, Dhruv’s gaze landed directly on the egg. It didn’t take him long to notice that the height of the egg had increased somewhere during its evolution.

The next thing he noticed was the excitement of the creature around the eggs. All the undead danced around the egg, getting more and more excited as they awaited the return of their lord from his slumber.

’Any second now...’ Dhruv thought, knowing that the spreading aura was an indication that the evolution was complete.

The aura surrounding the egg dimmed a little as a crack appeared on its surface. The crack spread like spiderwebs, and before one could notice anything, the egg disappeared from existence, leaving Azarex in all its glory.

’He’s become quite taller...’ Dhruv quickly noticed the most obvious change in him.

The Lord of Death now stood at an imposing height of 2.5 meters, his skeletal frame entirely black, exuding an aura of pure darkness.

His hollow eye sockets glowed with an eerie as if sensing the otherworldly creature. From the mere presence, the mana around him turned cold and oppressive.

His bones, sharp and jagged, seemed to absorb all light, making him a living embodiment of darkness. The ground beneath his feet blackened with each passing moment, and a palpable sense of dread hung in the air.

Multiple runes located on his hands simmered with light as they tried to pull everything inside of them. While the crystal located in his skull gave the feeling of being alive.

Seeing his master standing beside him, the Lord of Death controlled his aura and bowed to his authority.

"Stand up... There is no need to do that every time," Dhruv ordered as he brought out some clothes from his inventory and passed them to him.

Once again, the clothes became useless because of the size gap, but the problem didn’t persist as Azarex assumed his human form.

Looking at his human form, Dhruv didn’t find any changes except that now he was covered with tattoos as well.

"How do you feel, Azarex?" Dhruv asked, nodding toward him.

"I-I feel alive... No, dead... I feel great, Master. I-I feel complete," Azarex muttered, trying to understand himself.

"Good, good..." Praising him, Dhruv moved forward.

It had been quite some time since he had seen the status of any of his guardians, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to learn about Azarex’s evolution while also understanding what Azarex had been up to.

With these thoughts, he accessed his Status with the help of Mark.

’What is this... I can’t even see his whole status on one page anymore,’ Dhruv couldn’t help but get impressed, looking at the status.

There was so much more compared to the last time that he didn’t even know where to start. There was so much information there that he became lost.

Finally making up his mind Dhruv started from the very top.

’Eternal Greater Lich... He became a lich from undead... well, seems about right,’ Dhruv thought, reading the name of the evolution.

Looking toward Azarex, he asked, "What was the rank of your evolution, Azarex?"

"It’s epic, Master," Azarex replied, nodding toward Aurora.

"How many epic rank options did you get?"

"Only one, Master. And I think it’s because of the core as well."

"Ohhhh! Is that so..." Dhruv muttered, looking toward Aurora.

"I’ve already told you it will be worth the pain..." Aurora said, a proud smile appearing on her face.

Both of them nodded, unable to deny the claim. Letting the siblings continue chatting, Dhruv moved to the next part of the status.

’There is not much boost in the stats except for magic power... well, that is expected. Not everyone has the power of fusion...’

’Nothing new in the exclusive ability as well... speaking of exclusive abilities, I haven’t yet copied Aurora’s ability...’ Dhruv thought, making a mental note to copy her exclusive ability.

’Hmmm! Impressive, he already has three Tier IV skills and two Tier Ⅲ skills which are on the verge of evolving as well. He bought a total of nine skills as well...’ pausing he began reading about them.

’...And all of them sound so scary, exactly what you would expect from an undead.’

With this thought, Dhruv looks at Azarex from the corner of his vision. No matter how much he tried, he couldn’t imagine the man standing in front of him as scary at all... no matter how hard he tried.

Shaking his head he moved forward.

’It seems he gets quite a lot of evolutionary energy as well...’

Trying not to be jealous at all, he began checking the description of each organ.

’Hmmm! So, instead of heavily focusing on offense, he decided to improve his mana and defense... I guess it is a good choice considering all his offensive work will be done by the undeads.’ Dhruv thought, nodding his head.

’A total of 16 organs... well, it sure will take him countless great feasts to level up all those organs...’

Understanding he has to take his job as a chief seriously now, Dhruv closed the status and looked at the duo. Taking a deep breath he opened his mouth,

"I think our journey ends here... pack up, guys. We will leave this place as soon as possible."
