Chapter 325: New Spells

It didn’t take him long, and Dhruv had already sorted some spells out of the numerous that were available for him at tier I. For some of the spells that were only at tier I, he was pretty impressed by their power.

’These four seem the most promising as starting spells...’ Dhruv thought, considering the effects of each spell.

As an affinity that doesn’t lean toward destruction, these spells don’t have much offensive power on their own. What they have is... uniqueness that’s for sure.

The name of the first spell was ’Mass Compel’.

As its name suggests, the effect of this spell was that he could force a large mass to kneel or heed his command. Being only at tier I, the effect won’t last for long... in most cases, it will only work for one or two seconds.

If Dhruv has a large amount of authority then the effect could go up to one minute but that’s the limit.

The second is ’Enthrall’, a more individual-targeted version of Compel.

After being enthralled by the spell, the target would continue to follow most of the basic commands from the caster for more than five minutes.

This spell mostly depends on the mental fortitude of the target, and if they have none, they can be enthralled for hours, even days on end, without noticing any changes.

’Hmmm! This will be interesting to use...’ Dhruv thought, taking a mental note to practice this one first.

The third is another interesting spell with the name ’Whisper’.

What it does is plant a seed of an idea within the minds of others, forcing them to act on something that they thought was their own idea... while all they are doing is the caster’s bidding.

Like Enthrall, the Whisper effect will also depend upon the mental fortitude of the target. The more resistant they are to command, the harder it will be for Dhruv to plant a stronger seed.

The last and fourth spell wasn’t an offensive type– for that matter none of the above were, but the last one is even less so. It was somewhat of an improvement in the quality of life type spell.

The name of the spell was ’Mind Link’. With this spell, Dhruv could create a telepathic link with the target, allowing him to communicate with them no matter their race.

Dhruv was somewhat skeptical of learning this spell for two reasons. first, the spell wouldn’t be easy to cast, and second, Aurora had almost the same version of this spell which was easier to cast.

Sighing, Dhruv picked his choice and decided to go with these four nonetheless. He wanted to practice them as soon as possible, but knowing the difficulty, he calmed himself and opened his status.

[Skill Points: 81]

Looking at the skill points, Dhruv opened the skill buying page. Instantly, numerous skills appeared in front of him... some useful, some useless, and as always, some were weird.

Scrolling through all of them, he began by selecting three skills in hopes of preparing for the first step of the spellcasting.

[You have learned the skill: Inner Calm.]

[You have learned the skill: Calm Mind.]

[You have learned the skill: Meditation.]

’These three should be enough for the first step,’ nodding his head, Dhruv moved to the next and decided to buy some mana-related skills as well.

[You have learned the skill: Mana Transformation.]

’This will help me transform raw mana to Authority mana...’ Dhruv pondered, having invested another skill point because of Authority.

[You have learned the skill: External Mana Manipulation.]

Now, him buying this skill had nothing to do with Authority.

This was the skill he wanted to buy after seeing Aurora manipulating the mana around her.

’Now I would be able to do that as well... hopefully.’

With a sigh, Dhruv opened his status and looked at the skill section. A smile appeared on his face as he found the section began to fill up as well. It was really depressing to see them empty.

[Abilities: Advanced Mud Manipulation Lv. 6, Air Manipulation Lv. 3, Basic Authority Manipulation Lv. 0, Basic Authority Resistance Lv. 3

Skills: Master Map Maker Lv. 14, Better Cold Resistance Lv. 8, Inner Calm Lv. 1, Calm Mind Lv. 1, Meditation Lv. 1, Basic Mana Transformation Lv. 1, Basic External Mana Manipulation Lv. 1]

Closing his status Dhruv was about to start practicing the skills when he noticed some movement from the corner of his vision.

"Aurora..." Dhruv said, moving forward to check on her condition.

Listing the words her eyelids flickered as they began to open slowly. Looking around, Aurora opened her mouth with some difficulty.

"M-Master... where!?... is this my bedroom?" She whispered, examining her surroundings.

"Yes, I attacked you with a powerful spell and you passed out from the damage... Are you alright?" Dhruv asked, looking at her with concern.

"Y-yeah! Master, if I’m not dead, that means I will be alright..." Aurora muttered, trying to sit upright on the bed.

It took her some strength, but she eventually sat upright and began walking on her feet as well. Moving toward a cupboard, she pulled out some clothes and began changing.

Giving her some privacy, Dhruv left the room as a thought appeared in his head, ’If I’m not dead, then I’ll be alright... Right... how could I forget, the monster will regenerate from any wound if they aren’t directly killed by it...’

’There is no permanent damage for monsters..’

Sighing, he began waiting for Aurora to come out of the room, and eventually, she came out.

’Did she take some potion or what!?’ Dhruv pondered, observing her state.

After coming out of the room, she looked like nothing like before. She appeared perfectly fine. All the burn marks that weren’t so persistent had disappeared without a sign.

There wasn’t even a scratch left on her entire body.

Bowing to Dhruv, she stood beside him, awaiting his next order.

"Uhmmm! Let’s go and see Azarex. It’s about time he came out of it..." Not probing about the potions, Dhruv muttered these words and began moving toward the evolution chamber.

As usual, Aurora nodded her head and began following him without any questions.

They were only halfway there when Dhruv felt a sudden change in the mana around him. The color of his eyes changed as he understood what had happened. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
