Chapter 307: A New Life

’...Phew! At least I’m not bound to this place anymore.’ A last thought appeared in Queen’s mind as the light in front of her eyes began to fade.

[Unique Quest: Survive has failed.]

The corpse was placed inside the dome with its broken pieces. Mana stirred inside it as the broken parts began to fuse with the whole, melding together. Whatever was missing was filled with the help of corpse essence.

Seconds passed as the core placed on its chest fused with the body as well.

When the body repaired itself fully and was ready for the last part, a small, pure white orb appeared and entered the corpse, bringing life to the lifeless.

Nothing happened for another few seconds, then the process began to stabilize itself. The soul began to fuse with the body’s soul, passing its will to it.

The corpse’s soul resisted, but being pressed by the fusion, it couldn’t utilize its full power. Ultimately, the smaller soul won, fusing its will and becoming whole.

The body, which had been lifeless for more than a few hours, began to show signs of life. With a spark, the soul burned as the warmth of the body returned. The core awakened, providing mana to every inch of the body.

The corpse, which had been mindless until now, began to have thoughts appear one after another.

"Gasppp!!" the Queen gasped as a mouthful of air entered her body.

Her whole body shivered as she quickly found the situation she was in unnerving. Thought after thought appeared in her head as she tried to make sense of it.

’Aughhh!... What is happening?’

’W-Where am I? A-am I alive? Am I dead? Is this hell...?’ She began panicking, unable to understand what was going on.

As seconds passed, the Queen tried to calm herself. All the teachings she had received from birth didn’t betray her as she found her rationality returning bit by bit.

The Queen was taught to remain calm no matter the situation and this was exactly what she was trying to do.

With a little concentration, she understands her surroundings. She found herself surrounded by a dome of light. Trying to get out of this unknown place, she tried moving herself but quickly realized she couldn’t control her body.

Her body was not listening to her.

’What!!? Why can’t I move myself? Am I bound by some sort of spell? Forget that, how am I even alive? Wasn’t I killed by the... m-mutant.’

The Queen clearly remembered her last moments... yet here she was, looking at the world with her very own eyes. There was nothing she could think... that would deny the reality.

She is back from death. She is alive.

The Queen tried to move once again but found herself bound by the dome. The dome was doing something to her. Trying to escape from it, she attempted to manipulate her mana... or at least that’s what she thought to do.

No matter how much she tried, not a single particle of mana moved. Everything inside the dome was under its control.

"What is this... what is going on with me? Is this the doing of that m-mutant..?" she thought.

Argghhh!

She cried as a plethora of information began to pour into her brain. She was being molded into something else against her will. She tried to escape but yet again wasn’t able to do so.

The will continued to pour inside her as she panicked. The seconds passed as the muscles of her face relaxed. The panicked expression began to retreat as a new one began to form.

Now the Quenn understood what was going on.

"Mutant... no, What am I thinking? He is... master," She thought a smile appearing on her face.

The moment this thought appeared in her head, the dome around her flickered. Lying on the floor, she waited as the dome around her flickered rapidly. Before she took a breath, the dome disappeared, leaving her lying on the floor.

The dome disappeared, and she found a man standing in front of her. Even though she understood everything, she was still taken aback by surprise.

"Master!" she thought as her eyes met his.

The moment the Queen’s eyes met his, she felt nothing but awe and wonder. Her eyes widened with amazement, and her heart began to beat faster. She felt a deep connection like she had been waiting for this moment her whole life.

It was like... it was like this was the single reason for her birth. This was the reason behind her existence.

"Stand up." Before she could do anything, a voice reached her mind.

The Queen was instantly moved by the man’s words. For the first time in her life, she wanted to follow the command. She wanted to submit herself. She wanted to dedicate her life to him.

Without any delay, she stood up, awaiting another command.

"Come here..."

The words resonated once again as her feet moved instinctively. Reaching close to him, she stopped.

"So, let’s see what would be a great name for you..."

"Name?" She instinctively blurted out, confused by the words of her master.

"Yes, a name. You see, everyone has a name in this world, and so you need one as well. Now let me think of a name for you..."

She heard her master explaining what a name is, but she found it a bit weird since she already knew what a name was... and even had one.

"...Or perhaps I lost it," The Queen thought, remembering her death. Without any delay, she understood the reason behind her master trying to give her a name.

"...or do you have something in mind?"

The Queen listened as these words began to echo in her mind.

’Something in my mind... yes! I have a name that is dear to me. A name that was given to me...’ Even in this life, she didn’t want to lose the single thing that tied her to her parents.

"Aurora," Aurora replied, looking at her master with a smile.
