Chapter 277: Face To Face

Knowing that there was a time limit now, Dhruv changed his plan a bit. He decided not to use [Invisibility] this time.

This had a significant improvement as all the focus that was needed to maintain invisibility was now going toward improving the speed at which the spell was being created.

The mana inside Dhruv’s core began to clear at an alarming rate as the spell began to take shape. Time seemed to slow down as his entire focus went solely on perfecting the spell.

"More... more... not yet..." Manipulating every drop of mana he could get his hands on, he filled all of them into the blueprint.

Before the timer reached a minute, he had expended the last drop of mana from his core. The moment his mana got ran out something happened around his core.

’Argh!’ Dhruv could feel a searing burning sensation emerging from his chest after his mana had finished. That pain began to travel through his body as well.

’Shit... shit... I’ve got to be quick.’ Dhruv had predicted something like this, but he didn’t know that the pain would be this bad.

Mana regeneration worked as tiny amounts of mana to return to his body but the burning sensation wasn’t going away. His core wasn’t satisfied with this tiny amount of mana.

Even though Dhruv was burning he couldn’t help but smile. He was satisfied with the result. The spell in his hand was beyond anything he had created before. It just seemed too good to have been created in mere minutes.

The spell was at least twice the size and 1.5 times the weight of the first one. Letting the spell reach the same location as the previous one, he stopped controlling it.

A giant boulder formed in the air... even though most of them could see it, there was nothing they could do.

Some tried to fire spells toward it, some tried to stop it from descending, and some daring ones even tried to lift it, but all of it was futile... before anyone could achieve any results, it had already reached the ground.

Booooooommmmm

A thunderous roar resonated around the area as the boulder hit the previous one and broke into several pieces. All the pieces flew in different directions, satisfying their purpose of creation.

Booommm!

One of the broken pieces flew in that direction, breaking the wall in the process. Now a small hole could be seen in the mighty wall.

"Nice... there’s a safe road now." It wasn’t Dhruv’s purpose to create a hole, but he wasn’t going to say no to it either.

"Argh!!!" Gripping his chest, which was still hurting like hell, he looked at the hole.

Shaking his head, he pulled four blue bottles from the inventory and chugged all of them in a single sweep. The mana mixed within the liquid quickly melted as it reached his core, filling half of it in an instant.

"Ahhh!" Already feeling the pain getting better, Dhruv began to manipulate his mana once again. He was once again preparing for a spell.

This time, the spell wouldn’t be as grand as the others because it was just going to be there to catch the attention of any powerful monster that reached the area.

Slowly filling the mana into the blueprint, he thought about how the fight would go.

’This isn’t going to be easy...’ Knowing there was no backing out from this, Dhruv sighed.

A moment later, the spell was created, and from the looks of it, Dhruv was satisfied with its size. After thinking for a while, he decided to move the spell a bit further into the heart of the area.

After placing the spell as high above possible, he dropped it without any remorse. While the spell was falling he began moving forward.

"Azarex... get ready, we are going in. Remember to prioritize your safety. And good luck." Saying these words, he pulled out about six mana potions from his inventory.

With this many potions, his core got filled to about ninety percent in an instant.

"Good luck to you as well, master." Replying to these words, Azarex followed Dhruv, entering the town this time determined to prove himself worthy... to prove that he deserved the title of being a guardian.

As Dhruv moved toward the wall, he began to hear all sorts of sounds which had been blocked by the wall until this moment. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Everywhere his gaze turned, all he could see was blood and corpses... There was nothing but death littered in the area.

What made it even worse was that Dhruv knew what he had done. He knew that although all of them looked like monsters, the difference between them and monsters could be as clear as day and night.

Dhruv could see them wearing clothes. He could see them using tools. Although he could only see horror and dread in their eyes, he was sure they were capable of feeling other emotions as well.

No matter how bad it seemed, Dhruv didn’t stop. He continued moving forward. Biting his lips, he moved forward. He had decided what he was going to do. He had come here to win this dungeon, and that was what he was going to do.

Nothing could stop him from achieving it... not even himself.

’Why hasn’t it fallen yet...’ Dhruv thought, sensing something was wrong.

’So it is here already...’ A smirk appeared on his face as he saw a hand had grabbed his creation. He watched as it threw the boulder outside the wall effortlessly.

"Azarex, begin..." Feeling that the boss was here, Dhruv signaled the start.

They had already agreed on their roles in this battle. Dhruv was going to focus on the heavy hitters while Azarex would take care of everyone else. This way, he could create his army of undead as well, albeit they would be a bit weaker.

Nodding, Azarex opened his mouth and whispered, "Aura of Death."

Suddenly, a black mist began to leave his body and roam in all directions, surrounding him. Seconds after being touched by it, the monsters died without being able to resist.

As he looked at the notification for a second, he was surprised that he couldn’t see any tier 2... which would have at least made a decent undead.

"They will do for now..." Thinking this, he began to wake everyone from their slumber. He didn’t waste his mana on those who were severely injured or kids.

Nodding his head, Dhruv activated his mana and began to look for his opponent. A chill ran down his spine as beads of sweat formed over his head. Before it could even roll down the sweat froze in its place.

’Fuck..’ Dhruv found himself unable to breathe as he looked upon the most powerful creature he had faced till now.
