Chapter 276: New Spell

’Shit, this is no easy task...’ Dhruv thought as he found manipulating the mana inside the blueprint getting harder and harder. He was trying to create a spell he had never tried before.

Like a continuous drop filling the ocean, he continues to borrow mana from his core and fill the blueprint despite the challenges.

There was a reason behind the spell proving to be harder than others. The blueprint he was using was created by himself... making it a bit unstable.

He was lucky that it was only harder and not impossible. The latter would have been the case if he hadn’t taken some inspiration from the [Thunderous Smith’s Hammer Spell].

At first, Dhruv was going to use the Hammer Spell itself, but after realizing that he had a better spell that was far more suited for situations like this, he quickly changed his plan. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

The name of the spell was [Metal Construct]... a basic spell. It was basic only in name. This seemingly simple spell offered unlimited ways to be used.

As long as users could imagine it and had enough mana, they could create almost anything. But the problem was, just because they could do it didn’t mean it would be easy

But the problem for Dhruv didn’t end here... no instead it seemed to increase a level. Because while playing with Metal construct...

...he was maintaining [Invisible] as well.

So in total, he was doing three tasks at once: controlling the blueprint itself so it wouldn’t shatter, filling mana in the newly created spell blueprint, while trying to keep it invisible as well.

For a brief second, Dhruv even considered the idea of adding [Multiply] to it as well... but sure enough, he had gotten a reality check.

Truth be told, there was a very, very small chance that he would succeed, but the question was: could he afford to fail at the moment?

The answer was simple yet powerful... No. He couldn’t afford it.

’Ahhh! Just a few more meters and it would be okay....’ Having a multipurpose brain was doing wonders for him as he was almost there... on his first try no less.

As the final moment approached, beads of sweat began to drop from his forehead despite his surroundings being so chilly. Even with his mutated brain, it was really difficult... not horrifying to maintain everything simultaneously.

Dhruv’s hard work paid off as everything fit perfectly. With just minor adjustments left, he cautiously altered the properties and began to compress the mana slightly, increasing the difficulty of the spell even further.

As drops of mana filled the blueprint, it began to strain against its boundaries, threatening to leak out. Not wanting to push his luck any further, Dhruv stopped providing mana and started sculpting the shape of the construct.

He didn’t want anything fancy—his sole motive was to create enough destruction and diversion in return enough diversion for him to enter the wall unnoticed.

Dhruv didn’t want to enter the wall so he could hide and attack; he wanted to enter the wall before the battle so he could use the surroundings in his favor to limit the firepower of his opponent.

This trick of his wouldn’t have worked on other monsters, but they... they are far too intelligent to be considered simple, mindless monsters.

And Dhruv was exactly going to use this intelligence against them. He wanted to fight in the middle of their people. He wanted to fight where a single misfire could kill anyone. As a result, they would be forced to limit their firepower to prevent mindless killing... they would try to be as precise as possible.

They would have to limit themselves.

’It’s here...’As he felt the raw power behind the spell, Dhruv couldn’t help but be proud of himself. Looking at the clear sky in front of him, Dhruv began the last and final step.

The step perhaps after which there was no return.

Using his will, he began to slowly but surely guide the spell from his hand toward the sky. He was going to drop the spell from high above in the sky, right behind the gate area.

’Please don’t let anyone notice... please...’ Dhruv thought, praying for some luck.

He was most concerned about this step because, at this point, there was nothing he could do but pray.

Dhruv knew very well that anyone with enough potent mana sense and knew where to look could see a massive cluster of mana as clearly as the sky. His invisibility didn’t have the ability to hide from advanced mana sense... yet.

His prayer seemed to work as nothing happened and the spell reached its targeted location without any problem. Taking a deep breath, he released his grip... and let the spell do its work.

He didn’t have to wait long as gravity did its wonder, and under the influence of invisibility, the crystallions didn’t even see what had crushed them to death.

After falling, the mana became chaotic enough, and the layer of invisibility dropped as the boulder finally revealed its magnificent presence.

Cosmos didn’t delay sending Dhruv the fruit of his labor as tens of notifications began popping up in front of his eyes every second. From a single glance, he could see that most of his kills were of tier 1...

Dhruv didn’t know the reason why there were so many tier 1 monsters. He had expected to see the city full of tier 2, but apparently, that wasn’t the case.

[You have...]

Notifications continued to pile up, but Dhruv couldn’t afford to pay attention to any of this.

Just a moment after letting the spell go, he had begun to work on another one. Putting all the power of his mind together, he began to churn mana with all of his capabilities.

Dhruv didn’t plan to stop after just a single plan... no, he wasn’t stopping anytime soon.
