Chapter 237: Unseen Movements
A massive ball of blue flame hurled from the hand of a demon toward a monster that was five times its size. The more the ball progressed toward the target, the more it grew. By the time it reached its prey, the air around the spell began to get distorted just from its heat.
"Boooooommm!
With a loud boom, the flame connected with the eight-legged monster that was bound by the numerous spells around it. Seconds after getting hit by the flame, the monster turned into a pile of ashes... and two cores.
The demon began to walk toward the cores with a smirk on its face. He was about to bend down to pick the cores but before he could pick it he realized the cores were gone.
With a knowing expression, he looked in a certain direction. There he saw tentacles made out of shadow handing over his share of the spoil to a man with black hair and an average-looking face.
Looking in this man’s direction, the demon shouted, "Ayo! Alaric, this one was boss... Right? You can have the dungeon core, please give me the monster cores.."
Vexar sounded so desperate as if he had bet his entire fortune on getting that core, and if he didn’t get it, then he would die... that’s for sure.
Placing one petal-shaped core in his shadow, Alaric threw the other one toward... Grec.
Catching the core with a smile on his face, Grec quickly put it inside his inventory and looked at everyone with a smile on his face. Everyone looked at Vexar, but they were surprised to see that he didn’t have any problem with this as well.
Seeing that everyone was in good shape, Alaric announced, "We have been in the dungeon for quite some time and we even managed to kill one of the bosses. I think it’s time for us to return to the island."
"Hmmm! Yes, I think that too!" Thala nodded.
"I want to fight some more, but let’s return." Olivia, Vexar, and The old man had the same thought but they nodded as well.
When everyone agreed, they began to walk out to the island. Because they were quite deep in the dungeon, it took them quite some time to get out of the cave.
Reaching the place where the narrow passage began, everyone began to enter one by one. When it was Grec’s turn, he looked at Alaric and mentioned, "Alaric, I need to do something; you guys can go ahead."
Having a clue what this goblin was about to do, Alaric nodded and began to move toward the portal with the rest of the people. One by one, they entered the portal... just after a second or two they began to feel the freshness of the island.
The moment he exited the portal, Alaric noticed, "Something isn’t right here.."
Saying these words, he dived into the shadow and appeared in the middle of the area where the houses were built. It didn’t take him more than a second to realize what was happening.
"What??" he exclaimed as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Diving into the shadow, he appeared behind a sea monster and sliced its throat in an instant.
He couldn’t understand why or how but he found out that some type of sea monster had attacked the island

Phew!...
Dhruv heaved a sigh of relief after realizing that he was once again a step closer to learning another illusion spell. If he were to learn this one then he would have a total of 5 illusion spells in his arsenal.
Dhruv was making this much progress because of the amount all his time into learning this. For the past few hours, he was busy training here withing nothing but a bunch of skeletons around.
Being this far from the outside, he couldn’t hear the sound of the thunder as well, which made this cave perfect for training as well.
Drinking a mana potion, he looked toward Azarex and asked, "Has it calmed down."
Azarex instantly understood what his master was asking for. Looking in his direction, he closed his eyes for a moment. After opening them he muttered with the same expression, "No, master... It is still going strong."
"I see.."
’As expected, it looks like I don’t have the luck to eat those delicious dinners tonight. Talking about food, it looks like I can fuse with another slice of meat.’ Thinking this, he quickly brought a slice from his inventory and fused it with himself.
[You have gained 10 essence points.]
Looking at the notification in front of him a thought appeared in his head, ’Hmm, 10 points again, wait something isn’t right. Is it that all my luck is going on this? If this is right, cosmos, then please give me my luck back and take these 2 essence points of yours.’
After finishing joking around, Dhruv once again focused on his spellcasting.

Five hours later...
’Man, this is tiring... if there were a test subject, then it would be interesting to see its reaction. There is no fun in wasting this spell on air..’ the constant spellcasting had begun to take a toll on his body.
Looking toward Azarex he lifted his head ever so slightly he asked about the weather once again.
Because to make no monster come into the cave, Azarex has already placed that undead in front of the cave. Connecting with it quickly he answered, "Nah! Master, there is no stopping it."
Ohhh! Okay... Azarex, I’m going to take some rest. If anything happens or if you want to rest, be sure to wake me up.." Saying these words, Dhruv began to walk toward a place where something was waiting for him.
Nodding his head, Azarex walked toward the passage to give some space to his master and guard it as well.
With the help of fur he has collected so far, Dhruv had made a makeshift bed. Being made out of fur, it was truly comfortable and warm... which was everything a man needs in this weather.
Within a minute of lying on it, Dhruv began to wander in the realm of dreams with a smile on his face.
While Dhruv sleeping and Azarex guarding the entrance, something moves inside the cave that no one manages to notice.
