Chapter 226: Hellish Cold

In the dining hall...

"Munch! S-so... Azarex, have you completed the task I’ve given you?" While eating his meal, Dhruv asked his guardian a question.

Dhruv was asking about the safety measures that were to be put on the island if any attack were to happen. He has to do this because almost all the fighters are clearing the dungeon at the moment.

"Yes, my lord, I’ve set everything up. After we enter the dungeon, the golem will control my undead for that period of time. He can’t do much, but it is better than nothing," Azarex replied. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

"Ohhh! What is this skill... If I remember correctly, you are the only one who can control those undead, right?" Dhruv asked while stuffing his mouth with a crispy rabbit leg.

"I have recently got this ability. And this is possible because I’ve upgraded my crystal to tier Ⅲ..." Azarex muttered while pointing at his crystal.

’He had upgraded one to tier Ⅲ already..’ Nodding his head Dhruv calmly listened to the rest of the explanation.

’At this tier, my crystal gave me a few features; one of those features is to set position or hierarchy between the undead. With the help of that, I’ve set the golem position just below me. In return, it gave him the ability to control undead below itself," Azarex briefly explained about how his crystal works.

"Cool... I should increase my mutation as well." Nodding, he was about to think of something, but his focus went on the food in front of him once again.

"Yes, you should do that as well, master..." Agreeing with his master, he returned to enjoy his meal.

...

Wiping the sweat from his face, Dhruv opened the status and accessed the quest menu. Moving his eyeballs, he landed his gaze on the time-remaining options.

[Time Left: 10 Days 15 hours.]

’I guess this much training is enough, and now it’s time to attack the dungeon.’ Thinking this, Dhruv began to walk back to his house.

Dhruv had trained nonstop for a total of 2 days. During this time, he had learned two new metal spells, mastered one Illusion spell, and learned how to properly cast the hammer spell in all its glory.

If anyone ever came to this part of the island, they wouldn’t recognize it as a part of their land. He had changed the entire geography of that area in just two days.

[Azarex, be ready; we will enter the Dungeon tomorrow.]

[Roger that, master...] Azarex answered with an eager smile on his skull.

...

In the morning...

"Are you going to enter the dungeon today, My lord?" Dhruv heard a sweet voice enter his head while he was walking to eat some breakfast.

"Yes..." Dhruv nodded. Looking at her, he asked a question, "Who is piling stone in there?"

Looking at the massive pile, which almost reached a height of 15 meters, Lyra answers, "It’s Lord Grec who is doing that."

"Is it.."

Lyra nodded.

"Okay then. See you later." Saying this, Dhruv continued to move forward. While he was eating, a thought appeared in his head, ’Why is he piling stone now? What is happening in that goblin head.’

Ignoring everything else, Dhruv focused on enjoying his meal; after all, this was going to be his last meal until he cleared the Crystallce dungeon.

’Talking about the dungeon, they had only one more core of the spider dungeon... Apparently, it is too large with a maze-like system that makes it difficult to navigate.’ Dhruv thought as he remembered his talk with Lyra last night.

Sigh!

Sighing, Dhruv thought, ’There are still 10 days left; they would surely finish the dungeon before that.’

An hour later, Dhruv, Azarex, and tens of his mega Crystallce undead were ready to enter the portal.

Azarex is only going to bring the best of the best undead in the dungeon. While the rest of them will be here on the island in case anything were to happen.

Looking at the portal which was slightly hovering above the ocean, Dhruv whispered, "Let’s go..."

Saying this, Dhruv touched the portal with one of his hands. The moment his hand touched the portal, his entire body disintegrated as he disappeared from this part of the world.

Taking a deep breath, Azarex transformed into his monster form, signaling his undead to enter, he began to wait for the transformation to finish.

Azarex touched the portal with his skelly hand as well. His mind went blank for a few seconds...

...

’What the heck...’ Dhruv thought as he saw the environment in front of him. He expected that this dungeon would be cold-based, but he hadn’t thought that it would be this bad... no, worse.

Before doing anything, he quickly summoned multiple fireball around to keep himself warm. Getting some relief, he finally began to survey the area around him.

As far as he could see, there was nothing but snow. Snow here... Snow there... Snow below... snow above. In the entirety of his vision Dhruv could only see ten humongous pine trees.

The temperature was so bad that a tier Ⅲ monster—Dhruv—could feel that he wouldn’t survive ten minutes in this place without the warmth of the flame beside him.

Gulp!

Gulping the saliva, which was almost about to freeze, Dhruv looked at the portal. He was relieved to find that one by one the undead had begun to enter as well.

Although Azarex’s undead were immune to this cold, he himself wasn’t. Being undead provided resistance to many elements, but unfortunately, freeze wasn’t one of them.

This got proven the moment the Undead lord entered the realm of snow.

"What the hell is this." Saying this, Azarex quickly cast a barrier of darkness around himself. Being an ominous element, this affinity of his countered freezing quite well.

"Master, I’m getting bad vibes from this place." Azarex whispered as he quickly arranged his undead. Within seconds, the undead surrounded both of them and formed a defensive formation.

Before Dhruv could think anything, a thunderous roar echoed in the area.

"Rrrrooaarrr!"

"Fuck... give us a damn second." Whispering this, he quickly activated his mana sense.

In a single second he managed to catch a mana signature, thirty meters ahead to his right. He was able to catch it even from this far because the core... The core of the monster was radiating an impressive amount of mana.

"How the heck is the bear a tier Ⅳ monster..." The rest of his words got stuck in his throat as Dhruv saw the monster charging in his direction.
